Preparation and characterization of catalysts are described, catalytic properties are determined by conversion of thiophene, tetraline and n-pentylamine. The aim of this study is to obtain correlations between the catalytic results (activity and selectivity) and some chemical and structural characteristics of sulfided catalysts in which electron donor or acceptor elements have been added to the MoS 2 -Al 2 O 3 standard formulation. Experimental results are presented and discussed.
