The hardware model represents the combination of three different types of sources which are ac mains, solar energy and an inverter. Switching is provided between these different types of sources by the use of the micro-controller. Our primary objective is to present a working hardware model which shows how to implement and achieve a cost-efficient hybrid power generation system to provide an uninterruptable power supply. Through this hardware model we have tried to present a solution to the electricity crisis problem.","PeriodicalId":203504,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127148437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These manipulated images have become a serious cause of concern, especially in the news, politics and the entertainment sector. Therefore, there is an alarming requirement for a robust image tampering detection system which can distinguish between authentic and tampered images. Common image tampering techniques include copy-move forgery, seam carving, splicing and re-compress. Amongst these techniques, copy-move forgery detection (CMFD) and splicing are dominating the research field due to their complexity stratum and difficulty in detection. In this work, we focus on proposing an efficient splicing detection and CMFD pipeline architecture that focuses on detecting the traces left by various post-processing operations of Splicing and copy-move forgery that are JPEG Compression, noise adding, blurring, contrast adjustment, etc. We use second difference of median filter (SDMFR) on the image as one of the residual and the Laplacian filter residual (LFR) together to suppress image content and focus only on the traces of the tampering operations. The proposed method achieves higher accuracy of 95.97% on the CoMoFoD dataset and 94.26% on the BOSSBase dataset.","PeriodicalId":203504,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121889069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But due to their lesser efficiency and high power loss still there exist some issues in relying completely on this source of energy. Due to varying insolation conditions in a day and partial shading due to buildings, tree branches, etc. the rays coming from the sun cannot completely strike on the solar PV surface due to which high power losses occur. The bypass diodes that are used to mitigate the effect of partial shading creates multiple power peaks at the output terminal. Hence, in this paper, a nature-inspired algorithm which is a hybrid of PSO and Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) is used for tracking the maximum power among all the available power peaks. The proposed algorithm was compared with another state of the art algorithms (GSA and PSO Standard (PSOSTD)).","PeriodicalId":203504,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128446272","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In a sugar factory, a share of around 25-30% of total installed power is in Cane Preparation station. The prime mover of cane preparatory devices is invariably a slip ring induction motor (SRIM). For providing load equalization and to mitigate the effect of high swing in load current a flywheel is installed at the far end of the shaft of the preparatory devices and, additionally, a residual resistance (also known as buffer/slip resistance in the industry) is left in-line in rotor circuit throughout the operation. Conventionally, the value of this buffer/slip resistance is kept such so that a 15% slip (or 7.5% slip at some of the installations) is realized at full load. This kind of set up results in huge power loss in cane preparation. In this paper, a simulation study of proposed 3-level inverter based induction motor drive is carried out and the performance is compared with the existing system having SRIM drive and with the recently introduced 2-level inverter based squirrel cage induction motor (SCIM) drive in the industry. The 3-level inverter based induction motor drive is presented for an Open-End Winding Induction Motor (OEWIM) for the application.","PeriodicalId":203504,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124074955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
