{"title":"BIOCHEMICAL AND MORPHOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF JAPANESE QUAIL BLOOD AT DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CALCIUM AND PHOSPHORUS IN MIXED FODDERS","authors":"L. M. Zlamanyuk","doi":"10.15421/2016108","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15421/2016108","url":null,"abstract":"We studied the influence of a different level of a calcium and phosphorus in mixed fodders on morphological and biochemical indexes of a blood of Japanese quail. We selected 240 quails, which were divided into 6 equal groups - control and 5 experimental. Experimental quails were contained in six-fodders cell battery, each cell was 60x40x20 cm and contained of 20 birds (15 females and 5 males). At the beginning of the experiment the experimental quails had similar body weight indicators that were the same in the end of our research. When we fed quails with different levels of calcium and phosphorus wew registered that calcium, magnesium, total protein and alkaline phosphatase activity in their blood was within physiological norm. We identified no significant differences in these indicators. It should be noted that the highest content of phosphorus in the quail blood was observed in female birds of 6th experimental group, which exceeded by 23.1% the values in quails of control group with calcium content of 4.0% and phosphorus of 1.4% (P <0.05). The introduction of different level of a calcium and phosphorus were not significantly affect the blood erythrocytes, leukocytes, and hemoglobin. The ratio of segmented rods, eosinophils, lymphocytes and monocytes in the blood of experimental birds was within the physiological norm of fluctutations. In content, there was a slight deviation (within 1%) was not statistically significant in the blood of the bird experimental and control groups, eosinophils and monocytes. The lymphocyte content was below 8.3% in the blood of all experimental bird groups. It is revealed that a level of a calcium of 4.0 % and phosphorus of 0.8, 1,1, and 1,4 % in rations of quails, promotes rising of a calcium level in skeleton of female quails and does not influence significantly the morphological and biochemical blood indices.","PeriodicalId":202590,"journal":{"name":"Biological Bulletin of Bogdan Chmelnitskiy Melitopol State Pedagogical University","volume":"361 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114768578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mean daily migration speed was calculated using satellite telemetry data for autumn and spring migration of white storks from their breeding grounds to wintering grounds in Africa and back. White storks migrated significantly faster and had a shorter migration season in autumn ( 10,7 km/h ) compared to spring ( 7,4 km/h ). In autumn mean daily migration speed was significantly slower in Europe (8 ,7 km/h) than in the Middle East (11 ,7 km/h) and Africa (11 ,3 km/h). In spring mean daily migration speed was significantly faster in Africa (10 , 5 km/h) as birds left their wintering grounds than in the Middle East and Europe (6,3 km/h and 5,5 km/h). In both spring and autumn tailwind (at 850mb) and latitude were found to be significant variables related to daily migration speed. Key words: migration, weather conditions, White storks, satellite telemetry.","PeriodicalId":202590,"journal":{"name":"Biological Bulletin of Bogdan Chmelnitskiy Melitopol State Pedagogical University","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-06-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115196005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The received results testify that edafic and climatic scales matrixes bear the complementary information on edaphotop properties and possibly climatop. Most possibly that climatic scales at large-scale level bear the specific information on properties of environment. It is difficult to confirm, whether character of this information to adequate nominative properties of a scale at macrolevel is. But with confidence it is possible to say that climatic phytoindicator scales allow to differentiate ecological conditions in biogeocoenosis at large-scale level. Thus, at the given stage we tend to phenomenological interpretation of value of climatic phytoindicator scales at large-scale level.
