It is important to have effective screw tightness to manufacture stable industrial components, this makes it critical to have methods of detecting defects in screws. However, in many circumstances, including severe settings, hazardous industrial situations, and the field of rotary equipment, it is difficult for humans to manually detect screw tightness and flaws. Therefore, a smart classifier is required to identify screw defects quickly and accurately while presenting the least amount of risk. In this work we applied deep machine learning convolutional neural networks (CNN) for automatic detection of flaws in a screw where three conditions are detected; tight screw, loose screw, and missing screw, in which serious actions will take place once loose or missing screw is detected. We examined three CNN models which are SqueezeNet, GoogLeNet, and AlexNet. However, many of them are not timely and, from the investor’ s point of view, do not have enough information. In particular, it is even more difficult to find out trends of diversified companies with multiple segments. Therefore, this study aims to extract timely information on the trends of each segment of a company from news data using BERTopic. The analysis targets news headlines of diversified electronics firms listed on the Japanese stock market. The sample period was 24 years, from 1996 to 2019, and the number of news items for analysis was 26,058. As a result of the analysis, we found that (1) BERTopic can classify the target news into 46 topics, (2) it is possible to identify company segments and extract trends in company activities from the classified topics, and (3) it is also possible to visualize the time-series transition of topics related to each segment. (4) The results obtained from the analysis were used to determine the value of the company's investment in the market. In addition, the results obtained from the analysis were consistent with the descriptions in the annual reports. These signals contain valuable information about the activity of the muscle fibers and are related to the muscle's ability to generate force. However, these signals are highly susceptible to noise and interference, which is why multiple efforts found in the literature aim to reduce these disturbances and obtain signals with better quality. This work documents the design and conception of a new a machine meant to record EMG signals and resulting muscle force from the lower limb. This device consists of an instrumented leg extension machine with the necessary equipment for force measurement and EMG signals. All the while reducing one of the most common sources of interference such as artifact noise that is the involuntary movement of the sensors. In addition, this machine does not need extensive training or tests prior to capturing the data that will be used for processing. Since airborne frog calls are often accompanied by concomitant substrate-borne (seismic) signals, it would not be surprising if the seismic signals themselves playa role in directly modulating frog vocalizations. In this paper, several examples are presented of frog vocalizations that are modified by both naturally occurring and experimenter-induced substrate-borne signals. As a case study the IEEE 34 bus bar system is analysed in which first a base analysis of all power factors in each area of the system is performed, then the D-STATCOM is connected in every single bus bar to analyze all possible scenarios of compensation which will be the raw data to use and analyze with the optimization function. Capacity factors and reported costs of power plants adopting CdTe photovoltaic (PV) solar panels are compared to alternative designs such as crystalline Si. Of the 9 largest PV facilities in the United States, 6 have been built adopting the CdTe TF technology, with the same developer, and 3 of them the crystalline Si technology with different developers. All these 6 CdTe TF PV facilities show a penalty rather than an advantage in the annual average capacity factor, about 10% less, compared to the 3 designed with crystalline Si modules at plant costs that were comparable. All these 9 facilities were located in areas of similarly good resources. While the observed negative difference may be partially explained by differences in the tracking system, the advantage of the technology is mostly commercial in the specific United States market, rather than the global techno-economical. The emergence of higher efficiency mass-produced monocrystalline Si and Si heterojunction solar cells may further increase the gap. We present a novel power allocation scheme based on a combination of underlay cognitive radio with channel precoding and decoding to maximize the UAVs sum-rate. In the proposed scheme, we jointly use space alignment and successive interference cancellation techniques to minimize and avoid the interference caused on the primary communication. Optimal power allocation scheme for the proposed system is devised. In our simulations, we show that the proposed scheme allows the UAV s to achieve a rate that highly depends on the primary power and interference threshold. In addition, a supplementary rate is achieved when the UAVs transmit in the unused parallel channels called free eigenmodes. Seawater quality is a key factor in different sectors, from tourism to mariculture, thus proper monitoring and real-time response to pollution have an important role in its obtaining. The paper presents the SEA VIEWS project by stages. The first step of the project was establishing a transnational network of multiparameter probes, installed across the Adriatic - Ionian Sea. The network enabled the collection of data on 9 different parameters and created the foundations for the development of an early warning system for marine pollution. The next step was creating a mobile application, which will engage the general public in the fight against marine pollution. The paper presents the recently developed mobile application “SEA VIEWERS” and provides guidelines for its use. The data collected via the network ofprobes and reports sent by the mobile application create a wide database easily located on the SEA VIEWS platform. Therefore, the data can be accessed by all the project partners (Greece, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania and Montenegro) and used for evaluating the water quality deviations across the Adriatic - Ionian area. An experimental setup has been developed for the purpose of the study. The tests have been conducted at rated and higher current loads for the fuse-link, as well as at normal and increased contact resistances between the knife contacts and the base of the fuse. Results are given for the temperature distribution along the surface of the knife contacts and the fuse body in transient thermal mode of the fuse.
