The notions of joint Pareto-Aumann, Aumann-Pareto, Nash-Aumann and Aumann-Nash equilibrium are introduced. These combinations (representing new solution concepts) may allow an approximation of how people play in real life situations. Some numerical experiments show the importance of this new equilibria types.","PeriodicalId":202398,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE 9th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"140 42","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134505167","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The role of agents in the proposed architecture is primarily coordinated collection of information. The overall agent infrastructure is designed as a secure, robust and fail resistant system. Trust for agents can be based on a special hardware module which provides trusted computing functionality. In the article we describe such architecture in terms of requirements and design. Core agent types are proposed to access different kinds of distributed resources. Specialized agents for access to legacy information sources, communication with end-users and configuration of IP-based network devices are described. We conclude with current state of the architecture implementation and with further plans concerning the development of the described architecture.","PeriodicalId":202398,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE 9th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131282819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart means a set of well defined devices and techniques but nowadays smart is used as a synonym of the expression ‘modern’ and ‘up-to-date’. Believing that the smart philosophy supports the better energy supply we should measure it. Due to the fact that today every gauge and technique is called smart, we should make distinction between different smart objectives, levels and techniques. This paper aims at introducing a quantifying technique that helps orientate in this field. We can use it if we are going to apply new smart technologies or we are going to invest into the less smart part of the network. In the following parts we summarize the elements of the smart characteristics, we measure them and we form a smartness measuring factor capable of comparing two networks or two parts of the network. Finally we show a novel visualization method, the “radar screen” of the smartness.","PeriodicalId":202398,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE 9th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132923581","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem with software quality is the lack of formal definitions. Furthermore, quality metrics are based on empirical indices. We give a high-level view of the approach, leaving the deep details for a later discussion. High resolution optics, equipped with a CCD camera with a built in computer was added, for capturing the line sizes and distances. An appropriate LED illumination system is responsible for through the lens illumination and backlighting. The carriage on which the scale rests provides linear positioning motion. The paper discusses various definitions of the pitch distance. From these definitions simple algorithms are derived to determine the pitch distance. Important issue is the elimination of the influence of scale contamination. The main point is to minimize the effect of non-linearity and diffraction, by using appropriate optics and illumination, hereby improving measurement accuracy. The carriage carrying the scale is driven by ultrasonic piezomotor providing nanometer resolution. The displacement is measured by an HP laser interferometer. For higher resolution the CCD camera system can be replaced by a near field microscope.","PeriodicalId":202398,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE 9th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130500506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we explore how these data-intensive processes can be managed by machine-learning and data mining techniques to benefit the experts who produce daily weather predictions, as well as rarely needed, but crucial and often time-critical risk assessments for emerging environmentally significant events. We illustrate the possibilities on a selected scenario from the hydro-meteorological domain, and then describe how this scenario could be extended to provide meteorologists and hydrologists with new data and insights currently not routinely available.","PeriodicalId":202398,"journal":{"name":"2011 IEEE 9th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114975530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
