As obvious as this connection may be, there is little research that has been presented to analyze the human acceptance process related to other models of acceptance. Nor has there been an analysis of the technology acceptance experience from an emotional, cognitive perspective. This study produced themes that address the process for acceptance at an individual level. Themes associated with technology acceptance included force, emotions triggered by interaction with technology, how technology was introduced and relationships with those that introduced it, organic acceptance, cost associated with use, small wins learning to use the technology, societal perspectives, avoidability behaviors, social adoption, supported infrastructure, loss of freedom, finality and rejection, dependency, euphoria, and anxiety with use.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. This investigation explored teachers' perceptions of proficiency in the use of computer technology in the classroom. Self-determination theory assisted the examination of motivation as decisions are made to integrate technology into the classroom curriculum. A qualitative, multiple case study design was used to explore the views of 10 technology-using elementary teachers in the use of technology in the classroom. Using the constant comparative method, the results showed that teachers were found to be efficacious when incorporating technology into the curriculum and believed their actions could produce the desired results despite their technological skill level. Teachers were found to be self-determined and motivated to integrate technology; however, innovative practice was not evident while existing practice conformed to the instructional norms of the school. Recommendations for teacher professional development are included in this study.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Inf. Technol. There is general recognition of information as a key resource. Information is considered to add value to, and differentiate products and services. New work practices like desk sharing; home working, individual learning, and the use of satellite offices are changing the work culture. In this scenario, information systems strategy plays a pivotal role and much organizational success would depend on how well integrated the information systems strategy is with the overall organizational strategy. Based on in depth literature review, reports and polices desk analysis and the authors own experience in designing and implementation strategies, this paper describes, discusses and reviews the existing models and more important proposes a holistic framework that can be adopted for evolving an effective information systems strategy in general and for SMEs and entrepreneurs in particular.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. The goal in the university setting is to improve cognitive practice and increase learning in the value creation process and the zone of proximal development ZPD environment. Seeing one experiences this newest pedagogy in \"flipped classroom\" design, it has changed various educational disciplines in business education due to the increase in the success in learner motivation and comprehension-based on the objectives required for course work. Educational technology has played a key role providing a catalyst in this achievement. For example: The ZPD and experiential learning are applied in the growth of specialist in the field of management information systems MIS.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. In view of the potential benefits of Internet banking, banks are making heavy investments in building infrastructures, to offer to their customer's facilities for transacting with the bank online. While the Internet technology holds the potential to fundamentally change banks and the banking industry, it is still haunted by low rate of adoption by bank customers due to perceived risks in transacting in the virtual environment of Internet. This study makes a modest attempt to find the various factors/components of security that influences the user's security perception which in turn acts like a trust indicator towards adoption of Internet banking and proposes a research model for the same. This paper presents the empirical validation of the research model proposed through a survey of 107 internet banking users.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Inf. Technol. This is followed by an analysis of the relationship between capability areas i.e., contextual factors and green IT alignment while the company pursues GREEN. Data were collected from a case study where a car manufacturer is our research setting-considered as suitable for this type of research. The author found that a total of 18 capability areas over three domains of technical, organizational, and environmental are a premise for green IT alignment. Such capability areas are considered as new and interdependent of traditional strategic alignment capabilities. The results of this research demonstrate an appropriate green IT alignment framework that is trust worthy to construct for understanding the factors of IT-business fit while pursing GREEN. Implications are discussed.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Inf. Technol. Yet, in many cases implementing this new architecture may find resistance, not from knowledge workers, but from IT managers who are apprehensive because of the potential security compromise, proliferation of multiple standards, and delegation of procurement authority to individual users or business units. In this research article, the authors describe a structured and deliberate approach towards building Enterprise 2.0 environment. Many elements of the approach were defined and developed at Vanguard, Inc. as it developed an integrated communication and collaboration environment over several years. The research was designed to determine if the human organization comprised of layers of relationships and governance would or could change and reduce the high failure rate attributed to IT projects. The human aspect of conflicting organizational goals, those established by the information technology principal and the business unit principal with the project manager acting as agent, was the foundation for the study. The study expanded project management theory as it related to three variables: organizational commitment, project governance, and complex agency relationships. This was accomplished through a survey distributed to 403 information technology project managers in the United States designed to measure the three variables against the dependent variable project success. The results indicated that governance, organizational commitment, and the effects of common agency on a project manager's performance in meeting what might be conflicting success criteria do have a positive correlation. This research could provide new directions for researchers, project management practitioners, and strategic corporate planners when establishing project success criterion.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. It plays a vital role in development. Emerging global trends, new economic challenges and rapid growth of information technology has enlarged the focus on education making analyzing and assessing simultaneously several areas of performance essential and crucial. If Balance Score Card used by organizations to achieve excellence, is adopted in higher education by universities and higher educational institutions academic excellence could be attained. In addition, it can help them to utilize intangible assets more efficiently, ensure future growth and link long-term strategic planning to short-term, tactical actions. Adopting it would also provide a strong linkage between financial and operational measures, internal processes improvement and innovation activities. Thus, through in-depth literature review and grounded theory the aim of this paper is to give an overview of Balance Score Card, discuss its adoption in higher education by universities and higher education institutions.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. The simulation process involves a number of stages with the most critical stage identified as debriefing. The main focus of debriefing is to stimulate reflection and encourage communication while exploring the emotions of the participants. These emotions assist in framing the experience that aids in enhancement of learning for the student. This quantitative, quasi-experimental study explored the comparison of two debriefing processes, video-assisted and oral, by assessing the students' opinion of the debriefing experience and the students' rating of the importance of the debriefing experience. Participants were first semester baccalaureate nursing students. The overall finding and the four subscales for both dependent variables showed no statistical significance. This article provides further evidence to guide educators to a preferred method of debriefing students after a simulated experience.","PeriodicalId":201145,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Strateg. Inf.
