Since watermarks in the spatial domain are fragile and sensitive to any change of an image, it is suitable for tamper detection. We propose to use two lowest bit planes of an original image to embed 10 watermarks (WMs) in total. Two different resolutions of WMs are generated by down-sampling the original image. Two identical WMs of higher resolution occupy the least-significant bit (LSB) plane of the original image, while 8 identical WMs of lower resolution are embedded to the 2nd-bit (SB) plane. Tamper detection is performed using the SB plane and the recovery of the original image is conducted using the LSB plane. Considering a standard IEEE 9-bus test power network, the classic and intelligent controllers are applied and analyzed to achieve a desirable system performance. Simulated tests show the usefulness of STATCOM on network power quality in terms voltage profile. In addition, it can significantly improve the damping oscillations of synchronous generator under normal and abnormal network conditions. The PSS also contributes to improving the synchronous generator parameters. It enables the two way communication between meters and utilities to enable new intelligent applications. However, many SG NAN applications such as Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) or Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) have strictly requirement in both latency and reliability in order to fulfill the current and upcoming applications. In this paper, we solve this challenge by applying the idea of network coding, which has been proved reliable and latency beneficial, especially for wireless network. We build mathematical model which shows the comparative study of network coding technique in data gathering by using Markov chain approach. The models have been developed including the temperature affect of surface potentials, intrinsic carrier concentration and energy band gap. The threshold voltages were measured by the linear extrapolation methodology. The temperature dependence and the body-bias dependence of threshold voltage model of a big NMOS and a narrow channel width NMOS are proposed. The main goals of this research are to prove that fixed-point microcontrollers can be used for system dynamics emulator, to study numerical approximation methods for system dynamics modeling and to make a microcontroller working as a system dynamics. Both systems, mechanical and electrical are modeled by Ordinary differential equation method (ODE). The numerical approximation techniques based on Euler's method are studied and used as implementation approaches. The obtained second-order differential equations are then applied by the Reduction of order technique to convert them to first-order differential equations that can be solved by the first-order Euler's methods. The final version of the system equations are finally implemented on a microcontroller and examined thoroughly. The microcontroller that works as a system dynamics connects to a computer through internet network using a standard 802.11b/g Wi-Fi module. Therefore, we can interact with the system running on the microcontroller directly from a web-browser. Web-applications running on a web-browser are used to control and visualize all of system parameters. We closely analyze the experimental results by comparing them with the results obtained by reliable computer software tools, Matlab and Octave. This paper investigates the potential utilization of the dynamic system identification (DSI) Toolbox, the open source software, for an online oscillatory stability monitoring purposes. Actual measured data based on two oscillation events occurred in Thailand power grid have been used to validate the correctness and effectiveness of the oscillatory frequency mode estimation. Different sliding window lengths to process the measured data along the time window to continuously estimate the oscillatory mode parameters were investigated, and the reasonable window length was then recommended. In addition, the study verified the effectiveness of the damping ratio estimates obtained from the DSI Toolbox and compared against those estimates obtained using the commercial software tool. The integrated circuits for encoder and decoder (MC145026/MC145027) are used to implement our bus system based on Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller. We consider that the clock frequency of encoder and decoder may affect to the data transfer rate between the source and destination nodes. We select the clock frequency of 8.53 KHz, 42.6 KHz, 100 KHz, 181 KHz and 400 KHz for synchronizing between the encoder and decoder. ABC algorithm is a collective intelligence based on optimization algorithm inspired by the feeding behavior of bees in finding food. Rapid convergence and high precision are the capabilities of this algorithm which in this study to demonstrate its effectiveness and robustness, a two zone - four machines system is used and analyzed through non-linear simulation of time-domain and the results are compared with particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The optimization after a large turbulence shows that the coordinated design of the STATCOM and PSS controllers' parameters using the ABC algorithm considerably improves the system stability together with rapid damping of the system fluctuations as compared to the state without optimization. An evacuated solar collector with hot water storage tank would be installed after the compressor to increase coefficient of performance (COP) of the system at full load. Solar energy and waste energy are fully utilized so less power would be required to run compressor, this is turn allows for smaller compressor to be installed that offer even better savings on power consumption. The proposed system delivers higher system efficiency owing to the higher refrigeration effect in the direct expansion evaporator. According to calculation results, the refrigeration effect of proposed method is increased than that of conventional method. The decreased in mass flow rate is due to increased refrigeration effect and a decrease in compressor work (increased COP). Thus, the novel development is expecting for improvement of energy efficiency, enhancement of the system performance while fulfilling the cooling demand. It can be used in firefighters tracking, logistics and military service. This system requires high accuracy in an indoor environment. In this paper the comparison between trilateration and min-max localization techniques using received signal strength (RSS) and time of arrival (TOA) parameters. This study based on the indoor localization using ultra wideband (UWB) transmission model. The vector network analyzer (VNA) was used to measure at the frequency ranging from 3 GHz to 11 GHz. The biconical antennas were used as both transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) antennas. The accuracy and precision are also studies in the term of distance error. The cumulative distribution function (CDF) of distance error of each case is shown.
