The amount of carbon footprint released to the atmosphere is further reduced with the adoption of Photovoltaic (PV) based EVs. The PV output is initially fed to a DC-DC SEPIC converter, which produces high dc voltage with non-inverting output and reduced switching loss. The operation of the SEPIC converter is controlled using a Hybrid Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO)-Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based Proportional Integral (PI) controller for providing a stable DC voltage to the three phase Voltage Source Inverter ( 3𝜑 VSI). The 3𝜑 VSI output is used to power the BLDC motor of the EV. The power from the PV is sufficient for the EV application during daytime, however, during night time with the absence of the sun, the BLDC motor is supplied with the power from the grid. The grid is connected to this system through a Single Phase (1 𝜑 ) VSI. The proposed control method is verified using MATLAB simulation and the hybrid GWO-PSO algorithm delivers an outstanding efficiency of 96%.","PeriodicalId":20006,"journal":{"name":"Periodico Di Mineralogia","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78734069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) can be combined with NOMA systems to improve spectral efficiency and user capacity. This study proposes a transceiver structure for SC-FDMA based NOMA systems using discrete wavelet transform (DWT). The proposed transceiver structure employs joint discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoding and DWT to obtain a higher bit error rate (BER) performance over conventional systems. The proposed scheme is referred to as a joint DFT precoded DWT SC-FDMA NOMA system that benefits through outstanding orthogonality and spectral containment characteristics of DWT, thereby improving the performance of the SC-FDMA NOMA system. Moreover, we have investigated the performance of the proposed system with variations in carrier frequency offset (CFO) to show the supremacy of the proposed SC‐FDMA NOMA System over multipath channels.","PeriodicalId":20006,"journal":{"name":"Periodico Di Mineralogia","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90035810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, for robot structural design, the conventional materials are replaced by alternative nanocomposite materials for its enhanced properties. This paper describes the impact of Nanoclay reinforced AA 5083 as a novel material replacement for the design of redundant SCARA (RSCARA) robot by varying the composition of Nanoclay in weight percentage (0, 1 and 2 wt%). The RSCARA parts are modelled by three dimensional (3D) computer aided design (CAD) modeling Solid Works package by imparting the material properties of newly developed nanocomposites. The model developed was exported to MATLAB/ Simscape Multibody Simulation environment and converted into multibody electromechanical system blocks. The required Input/output primitives are consigned for the joint blocks and the dynamic parameter torque was derived by the Simscape Multibody simulation. The results of the simulation regarding the dynamic performance obtained for RSCARA solid and round hole perforated manipulator main arm and fore arm links assigned with Nanoclay reinforced AA 5083 material is expressed in this research work.","PeriodicalId":20006,"journal":{"name":"Periodico Di Mineralogia","volume":"113 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76066889","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike the conventional MMC topologies, the proposed topology can be applied in high power applications requiring more voltage levels using less capacitor count maintaining higher efficiency. The common problem caused within a MMC by the impact of circulating current is eliminated here by adding it with the input current of each arm. Photovoltaic (PV) System generally uses Power electronic converters to convert the generated DC into AC by switching ON and OFF of the Power electronic devices. This leads to the introduction of Harmonics into the power system causing deterioration in the power quality resulting conductors heating, malfunctioning of fuses, circuit breakers and relays. This paper introduces an Adaptive Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) based on the Synchronous Reference Frame (SRF) theory which is capable of generating the compensating reference current needed to extract the total harmonics from the system. It uses a deep learning filtering algorithm based on a hybrid learning method, which is regarded as the computationally efficient training method with less complexity and negligible training time. Extensive simulations are carried out in MATLAB software and its performance in each aspect is analyzed by comparing it with conventional methods. The results obtained show the usefulness of the novel topology and the proposed algorithm in improving power quality.","PeriodicalId":20006,"journal":{"name":"Periodico Di Mineralogia","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91041210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"地球科学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
