In particular, the optimum detector is derived for the distributed target by the Neyman-Pearson (NP) criterion. Since the optimum NP detector is impossible to realize at the practical situations, we also introduce the GLRT-based adaptive detector. Finally, the numerical results show that the performance loss due to adaptively estimating the covariance matrix and texture component is negligible.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124425210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The most well known problem of the degradation is the existence of short cycle length. To generate pseudo random (PR) sequences for spread spectrum communications and improve its statistical properties, this paper introduces a novel switched chaotic system, which consists of four different subsystems and can change its structure timely and randomly from one to another using two switching functions. Using the switched system, a PR sequence generator is designed and realized based on FPGA (field programmable gate array). This technique is derived from the idea of combining DSP Builder tool with Matlab/Simulink and Quartus II software, and guarantees the generation of repeatable consistent sequences based only on the initial conditions. Furthermore, the proposed PR sequence generator is subjected to four basic statistical tests using the well-known tests suites FIPS-140-1. This PR sequence generator successfully passes all basic statistical tests and can be used in the design of various FPGA-based spread spectrum communications.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125945010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a new feature extraction method based on supervised locally linear embedding (SLLE) is proposed for speech emotion recognition. SLLE is used to implement nonlinear dimensionality reduction on high-dimensional emotional speech features with nonlinear manifold structure. And then the enhanced low-dimensional data representations embedded with SLLE are extracted for speech emotion recognition. Experimental results on natural emotional Chinese speech database confirm the validity and high performance of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126620938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is pointed out that V2 control is essentially a kind of control technique by utilizing peak output voltage as a control variable, quite similar to peak current-mode control. Stabilities of V2 controlled buck converter operating in CCM and DCM are analyzed in detail. It is concluded that V2 controlled buck converter is stable in CCM when duty ratio is less than 0.5 and in DCM for the whole range of duty ratio. When duty ratio is larger than 0.5, subharmonic oscillation of V2 controlled buck converter operating in CCM can be eliminated by using slope compensation. The objective is to develop a practical Internet based intelligent video analysis product. This system can perform real-time processing of the video data from IP camera. And at the same time, it executes intelligent video analysis algorithms, provides users quick, accurate and intelligent video analysis service. In this system, we implement a multiple objects tracking approach for objects labeling being able to preserve objects identity even when an overlapping occurs on the image plane between different objects. And we use histogram matching techniques for real-time objects tracking under heavy occlusions and disappearance. We also compare our improved method with another objects tracking algorithm based on Mean Shift and Kalman filter. Experimental results show that the system is stable and fits real-time requirement, and the performance of our method is better.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116035022","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It recovers target trajectory at the same time as the detection is declared after processing several successive frames of measurement. This paper simulates the tracking accuracy of each frame of trajectory which is recovered from the maximum of merit function after executing dynamic programming. Several useful results for improving tracking performance are obtained. First the tracking accuracy of middle frames is higher than both sides. Second the lager SNR and the more possible transition states, the more gentle the curves. Third under the condition of large SNR the more possible transition states, the higher accuracy.","PeriodicalId":199950,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (ICCCAS)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117302972","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
