One of the major building blocks of the brain, the omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is critical for brain development function and optimal brain health at all ages of life. Researchers are now finding that DHA provides brain-boosting benefits in infants and aging adults. Better mind gives better life. So the objective of the paper is to review and discuss the effects of DHA on brain development and function with enhancement of performance and reduction of neuro-diseases.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139271723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We intend to publish one such rare case with the aim of highlighting the detailed diagnostic approach to make an early and correct diagnosis of such a rare disorder. A three and a half year female presented to pediatric department with progressive abdominal distension since nine months. On examination, she was found to have massive splenomegaly . Investigations revealed bicytopenia. All relevant investigations were done step by step but the cause of splenomegaly was not evident . Bone marrow aspirate clinched the diagnosis as it showed presence of characteristic Gaucher Cells. Further confirmation of the diagnosis was done by biochemical level of glucocerebrosidase enzyme which was found to be extremely low. Molecular genetic analysis was also found to be positive, confirming the diagnosis.Also, genetic mutation detected, according to our case phenotype was rare. A step wise comprehensive approach to cases presenting with cytopenias and splenomegaly is required in order not to miss such rare cases of storage disorders.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"23 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139275797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results: A total of 250 patients belonging to the inclusion criteria were studied.The incidence of occult adenocarcinoma prostate in the study group was 2%.Correlating the age of the patients with the incidence of incidental adenocarcinoma prostate,it was observed that the age group 70 - 79 years had the maximum incidence of incidental adenocarcinoma prostate (13.0%, P-value <0.001). The incidence of adenocarcinoma prostate was found to be inversely proportional to the weight of resected gland, but this was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Even if the preliminary diagnosis of BPH is made, processing of all the TURP specimen especially those obtained from elderly patientsand evaluating pre-operative PSA level are important not to miss any tumour.The age of the patient was a positive predictor for incidence of occult adenocarcinoma prostate.The clinical grading of prostate by DRE however,had no correlation with incidence of occult adenocarcinoma prostate.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139299076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methodology: The Kyoto Protocol introduced the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) for climate change mitigation.This method includes the CDM project Multi-Attributive Assessment,enabling industrialized nations to finance emission reduction efforts. As part of this initiative, cities use the CDP Online Response System to report climate hazards,actions,objectives,and emissions.Municipalities submit emissions data to CDP,delineating inventory boundaries and identifying emission sources, primarily focusing on Scope-1 and Scope-2 emissions. This study assesses 16 officially registered CDM projects to gauge their compliance with the twin goals of the Kyoto Protocol: reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing sustainable development in the host country. Result: The existing CDM portfolio has slightly impact on employment in host countries,according to an analysis of authorised CDM projects. Almost all (99%) of the CERs originate from initiatives with a grade of C or worse in terms of their potential to create new jobs. In reality, the average CER in the portfolio creates around 235 person months of new employment for A-rated projects, 3.5 for B-rated projects, and 0.1 for C-rated projects, for a total average of 2.3 person months of increased employment for every 1,000 CERs. Large-scale projects often exhibit a low average employment rate, and this phenomenon is primarily attributed to end-of-pipe trifluoromethane (HFC-23) division operations, which have little to no employment effect. Conclusion: The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) has had mixed results in encouraging sustainable development via its official programmes. Despite various projects generating capital, transferring clean technology,and improving host country living conditions,other issues persisted.Project additionality,equitable benefit sharing,and environmental integrity remain contested.","PeriodicalId":19910,"journal":{"name":"Paripex Indian Journal Of Research","volume":"53 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139318923","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
