To specify, the paper highlights King’s use of language to build and destroy identity, relationship, and politics. The selected lines and paragraphs of the speech are divided into these three categories that are used in appropriate code scheme for analysis. Furthermore, the results show the ideologies and philosophical dogmas behind the speech, which relates to freedom, equality, and civil rights.","PeriodicalId":199067,"journal":{"name":"Modern Perspectives in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 8","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129614199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is little doubt that education is undergoing a paradigm shift, with a stronger emphasis on skills and employability. On the one hand, attempts are being made to improve the gross enrolment rate, while on the other hand, there is a growing and legitimate concern that graduates would be unemployed. There is a growing evidence that our graduates need to improve their skills in order to be more employable. This would be accomplished through the use of a well-designed curriculum. The present research attempts to envisage various educational models/ theories of curriculum designing to make education relevant. Even in nonprofessional undergraduate degree programmes offered by higher education institutions, an outcome-based education framework must be examined with explicit learning goals and ways or processes for measuring these learning outcomes. The study concludes that many more curriculum frameworks in the Indian context need to be deliberated, to adopt “Best fit Model” for institutions of higher education.","PeriodicalId":199067,"journal":{"name":"Modern Perspectives in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 8","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122575222","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Linguistic and sociolinguistic analysis has been conducted for requestive expressions made by two generations of Saudi female speakers to female Asian workers in the cafeteria of a governmental institute in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The study reveals that the use of SPA is mostly limited to the most basic forms of verb and noun phrases found in Najdi Arabic (the type spoken in the Arabian Peninsula's middle region), the SPA's lexifier language. The impact of English on the younger generation is shown by the tendency of younger participants to employ English expressions. A sociolinguistic analysis also shows the impact of the social variables of power, status, social distance and the age of the requester.","PeriodicalId":199067,"journal":{"name":"Modern Perspectives in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 8","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128862474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ability to apply complex science of materials on the appropriate selection of engineering materials is not well constituted in one final exam. Therefore, peer-to-peer lecture film supported inverted classroom scenarios were established to work in the blended-learning course. The special design of the Moodle course gives students the chance to cumulatively accomplish micro-grades via multiple activities, such as tests, lectures, presentations, forum discussions and written homework and additionally glossary entries. Micro grades are then summed to obtain the overall course grade. Improved learning outcomes are demonstrated in high quality class discussions and most -important to students- in slightly better grades in some cohorts compared to those being assessed by one final exam only (average C+). Objective of the study is to demonstrate one possible teaching route to align the course structure as well as graded activities to the desired learning outcome – both being crucial elements to enhance learning outcome.","PeriodicalId":199067,"journal":{"name":"Modern Perspectives in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 8","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121930168","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
