Shortest dependency patterns connecting entity pairs in sentences are captured initially and in turn applied to extract new binary relationships. The patterns are evaluated through correlation detection. In addition, we effectively prevent semantic drift by co-training with trigger words. Experiments for slot filling on the Knowledge Base Population (KBP) newspaper corpora show that our enhanced bootstrapping system achieves an 11% F1-score improvement over traditional bootstrapping algorithm.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115632608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method of island control based on weighted voronoi diagram(WVD) is presented in this paper, which regards military bases and task force formations as control nodes, and makes use of WVD on display through the capacity description and computing composite index of the nodes. The nodes' capability can be analyzed and optimized from different perspectives. Simulation testing shows that the arithmetic of WVD, which can distinctly represent the dynamic process of island control with the deployment of task force formations and the construction of military bases, can be strong practicability to guide deployment optimization of task force formation and the construction of sea battlefield.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"25 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116689747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accidental falls become an important factor affecting the health of the elderly. Designing fall detection software has a better effect on the prevention of sudden illness for the elderly caused by a fall. Therefore, fall detection technologies and detection products gradually become the focus of the study of human activities for researchers. Currently, fall detection technologies can be classified into three categories: video surveillance, audio-vibration-based identification, wearable detection device. Wearable detection device is deemed to be the main research trend currently. The rise of smart-phones, especially the iPhone built-in accelerometer and gyroscope based on the IOS platform has opened up new ideas for fall detection research. Comparing with traditional wearable detection device, detection on cell phone is more simple to use and easy to carry.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116991427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We construct a couple chaotic system which achieves a better cryptographic performance than general chaotic system due to its much larger key space and more complex dynamical characteristics. In our cryptosystem, we also establish couple toggle cellular automata to encrypt image in a parallel fashion. Firstly, plain image is separated into two symmetric parts and pre-processed using couple chaos system, and subsequently encrypted by the couple cellular automata system. Due to the inherent properties of couple chaotic system and couple toggle cellular automata, our approach significantly improves the process efficiency and expands key space compared with similar types of methods. The experimental results and theoretical analysis show that the cryptosystem has a sufficient large key space and satisfies requirements of avalanche effect, thus resisting the brute attack and differential attack effectively.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117046989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulation is a very useful method in the system design of SAIR. This paper is devoted to establishing an accurate imaging model of near-field millimeter wave SAIR for simulating the imaging process that include target radiating electromagnetic wave, antenna collecting target radiation and transforming them into RF signal, and antenna array collecting the visibility function. By using the equivalent complex baseband signals to represent the practical target radiation and RF signals in time domain, the efficiency of this simulation model is improved significantly. Some characteristics of near-filed millimeter wave SAIR are verified by a series of simulation experiments, and the effectiveness of this imaging model is tested by these simulation experiments. Results of the imaging simulation experiment show that this model is an efficient, feasible imaging model for near-field millimeter wave SAIR.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"38 20","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120855556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is, however, unqualified for practical applications due to the extremely high computational expense of ℓ1 minimization. This paper proposes a new L1 tracker that resolves the above problem by clustering particles via k-means based on a spatially weighted similarity measure(SWSM) under particle filter framework. The SWSM which incorporates spatial relationships between particles into pixel-wise similarity measure is calculated for each particle pair, and then is fed for k-means clustering. After that, a two-stage selection based on ℓ2 and ℓ1 minimization respectively is applied to jointly determine the target state. Our L1 tracker keeps the diversity of particles from drifting and also largely promotes the tracking efficiency. The good performance of the proposed method is validated by comparison with two other state-of-the-art L1 tracker on four challenging sequences.","PeriodicalId":196304,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings 2013 International Conference on Mechatronic Sciences, Electric Engineering and Computer (MEC)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127251709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system was implemented through creatively adopting two levels state machine. The faults that the power lithium battery pack may occur were used for defining the status of finite state machine. The two-stage state machine was used for recording and reporting all kinds of fault information, while the one-stage state machine was used for determining the final system output.
