Catholic Religious Education in schools is an educational program that instills Christian values through the learning process and also as a means of forming individuals who believe and are devoted to TYME. The direction of the Catholic Religious Education subject seeks to adapt to the needs of the project-based Independent Learning Curriculum to strengthen the achievement of the Pancasila student profile which is always student-centered. Therefore, teachers and researchers apply the Discovery learning model in their learning process in the classroom in order to improve student learning outcomes.The purpose of this research is to find out what the Discovery Learning learning model is and how it is applied in the learning process. This research uses classroom action research methods. The target is class VIII students at SMPS Bunga Mawar Gunungsitoli with material on the consequences of preaching Jesus. Catholic Religious Education and Character Education aims to help students develop Catholic faith, morals and character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the critical reasoning dimension which is based on the importance of forming strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. Mardi Waluya Cibinong Middle School is a school that has adequate library facilities and a strategic location in the center of Cibinong city. However, based on observation results, this school is facing the problem of decreasing student interest in reading, especially in class IX. Based on the problem conditions above, teachers can provide learning experiences by designing the learning process. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method can increase interest in reading in junior high school children because this method provides students with the opportunity to choose problems that suit their interests and needs. The objectives of the research include (1) to find out how the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method assisted by Canva-based scrapbooks can increase interest in reading and critical reasoning (2) to find out how much interest in reading students at Mardi Waluya Cibinong Middle School class IX increased after it was implemented Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method assisted by Canva-based scrapbooks (3) to increase reading interest of class IX students at Mardi Waluya Cibinong Middle School on material about believers respecting human dignity in facing the challenges of the digital era, such as distractions from social media and gadgets. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the problem formulation. One of them is Merdeka Belajar. Through Religious Learning, students are encouraged to actively communicate, be creative, explore, be skilled at reflection and dare to express their opinions. In this learning, students are also given the opportunity to carry out a project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile which includes six dimensions. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimensions of critical reasoning. With critical reasoning skills, students are expected to be able to identify, solve problems, make the right decisions to overcome various problems and be able to see things from various perspectives and be open. SMK Negeri 2 Magelang is a favorite school with many achievements. Because it is a vocational school, learning is more focused on productive (vocational) subjects so that general subjects (adaptive normative) receive less attention from students. Based on the results of observations, it was found that there was a decline in student learning achievement in PAK learning. Based on these problems, researchers are trying to design the learning process to be more varied and interesting. One of the learning models implemented is video-assisted Discovery Learning. This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Magelang Phase F class XII with the research variables learning achievement and critical reasoning. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the video-assisted Discovery Learning learning model which can improve learning achievement and determine critical reasoning abilities in class XII PAK learning at SMK Negeri 2 Magelang. Data collection techniques using observation sheets for critical reasoning variables and tests for learning achievement variables. Data from observations and test results were scored and processed and then presented descriptively. The research results show an increase in accordance with the expected achievement targets. The results of learning achievement in cycle II show an increase, this can be seen from the test results which reached the category from 0% to 33.3%, the proficient category from 16.7% to 50% and the adequate category from 50% to 16.7% and new categories are developing 33.3% to 0%. The results of critical reasoning ability also increased, the proficient category was 33.3%, which was previously 0%, the proficient category was 66.7%, which was previously 50%. The background to this research emerged because of problems in increasing students' interest and understanding of learning material. Students tend to feel bored and sleepy during the learning process, which leads to low learning outcomes. To overcome this challenge, interesting learning methods are needed to improve learning outcomes and student interest in class. One method that has been proven effective is Problem Based Learning (PBL). The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes and achieve learning achievement targets in class. The research method used is quantitative. The results of the first cycle showed that 4 students were at the advanced level, 4 students were at the proficient level, and 2 students were at the appropriate level, with an average observation learning result of 78%. In the second cycle, there was a significant increase with 6 advanced level students, 3 proficient level students, and 1 decent level student, and the average observation learning result reached 86.5%. To achieve this goal, researchers used a problem based learning (PBL) learning model designed in two cycles. In each cycle two meetings are held. The procedures in each cycle include the stages: 1) planning, 2) implementing actions, 3) observation, and 4) reflection and evaluation. The effectiveness of actions in each cycle is measured from the results of observations and tests. In this study, the researcher stated that observations of students' interest in learning were seen and measured from the level of independence and faith and devotion to TYME and noble character in the dimensions of the Pancasila Student profile (P3). The observation data is described, interpreted, then reflected on to determine corrective action in the next cycle. The results of the action research carried out in two cycles were that students' learning interest in cycle I reached 76.5%, while in cycle II students' learning interest reached 89.5%. Comparison of the results of increasing student interest in learning in cycle I and cycle II increased by 13%. Likewise, student learning outcomes also increased with the results in cycle I reaching 77.6% and in cycle II reaching 87%. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes by 8%. Thus, based on the results obtained, it shows that there has been an increase in student interest and learning outcomes and they have achieved completion. So it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning method can increase PAK interest and learning outcomes in the competency of the Role of Hierarchy and Laity as Church Members for class XI Phase F students of SMAN 1 Sipora Semester I for the 2023/2024 academic year. The majority of the population, engaged in farming and gardening, has a low level of education, especially after completing elementary school. The low educational attainment of parents can influence their understanding of the importance of education for their children. This research focuses on Catholic Religious Education at SDN 08 Semidang, with the aim of shaping students into individuals of faith. Students have low interest in learning, lack access to textbooks, and receive inadequate family support. In the fourth grade of SDN 08 Semidang, the Discovery Learning method with the assistance of audio-visual media is applied to address these issues.This study uses two action cycles based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. In the first cycle, student learning outcomes did not meet the target, but student reflection questionnaires indicated improvement. In the second cycle, the results were better, with student attitudes reaching 83% of the 80% target. Therefore, the second cycle is considered sufficient and concluded.The results show that the discovery learning model with audio-visual media is effective in improving the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education in the fourth grade at SDN 08 Semidang. The aim of this research is to improve creative and cognitive aspects by applying the Problem Based Learning learning method phase C for class 5 at Santo Antonius Bangun Mulia Elementary School, Medan. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) consists of 4 stages, namely, planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. The research subjects were 25 Class 5 A Face C students. Obtaining data by: 1) observation with observation indicators Pancasila Student Profile dimensions of faith and devotion to God Almighty and having noble character (P3): Understanding the main elements of religious beliefs, Recognizing the role of religious beliefs in life, Understanding religious moral teachings, Implementing worship regularly, pray independently, celebrate religious holidays, understand the meaning of the holidays and 2) test material learning results with achievement targets: Proficient 35%, Proficient 55%, Adequate 10%, only 0% developed. The research results showed: There was an increase in the creative aspect of P3 from cycle 1 to 2 by 5.7%. In terms of the learning achievement aspect, there was an increase in the number of achievement targets from proficient 32% to 56%, proficient 36% to 24% decent 32% to 20%. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, Catholic religious education in Indonesia focuses on developing religious understanding, moral values and Catholic spirituality for students. The independent curriculum emphasizes the Pancasila student profile. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of independence which is based on the importance of forming strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. Experience often teaches us that what we know (knowledge in the cognitive realm) does not always make us successful in life. But our ability, tenacity and dexterity to digest and apply this knowledge in real life is what will make our lives more meaningful and of higher quality. This means we need to have a variety of intelligences for our lives to be successful. In fact, in a rather extreme way, Cooper and Sawaf (in Maman Sutarman, 2004: 4) in their research stated that intelligence in the cognitive domain (IQ) only contributes 4-10% to a person's life success. This means that 90% of a person's success in life is determined by their ability to digest and apply it in real life. Likewise, in religious life, people do not become saved because of the knowledge they have. People who believe are expected to be able to interpret and apply their faith in their daily lives. Therefore, Catholic religious education in schools should also enable students to have the competence to digest and apply knowledge of the faith in their daily lives. Education at school should provide maximum opportunities for every student to develop his or her potential. Education at school must also produce students who have the enthusiasm to continue learning throughout life (longlife education), full of curiosity and the desire to increase knowledge and skills that are useful for their lives. One of the keys to realizing such education is the existence of high and maintained motivation in students. However, the ideal learning atmosphere is as above; Students have high motivation to learn and it is not always possible to maintain it all the time. We hope that students can achieve optimal understanding and achievement, but what we encounter are students with low achievement and enthusiasm for learning. We hope that students will be actively involved in learning, but they are passive and less involved in the learning process so that their understanding is not optimal. Therefore, efforts continue to be made by the government, educational institutions and society as a whole to improve access, quality and relevance of education in order to create a young generation that is skilled, competitive and ready to face global challenges. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, Catholic religious education in Indonesia focuses on developing religious understanding, moral values and Catholic spirituality for students. The independent curriculum emphasizes the Pancasila student profile. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of independence which is based on the importance of forming strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. The students who are accepted to school at SD Negeri 46 Plasma II are students who are accepted into majors that do not match their initial interests. Students with this kind of condition tend to feel unmotivated to learn. Based on the problem conditions above, teachers can provide learning experiences by designing the learning process. One learning model that can be applied is Problem Based Learning (PBL) or problem-based learning. The objectives of the research include (1) to find out how the use of the Problem Based Learning model in increasing students' learning motivation in the material Maria and Elisabeth responded to God's plan in class V of SD Negeri 46 Plasma II, (2) to find out the increase in learning motivation of class V students of SD Negeri 46 Plasma II with the help of the Problem Based Learning model on Maria and Elisabeth material responding to God's plan, (3) to find out the use of the Problem Based Learning model on material for men and women equally, class V students at SD Negeri 46 Plasma II can apply the student profile Pancasila dimension of independence. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation.
