There exists a total of seventeen global goals agreed upon by world leaders to strive for better nations by the year 2030, widely known as sustainable development goals. These were launched in the year 2015 at a world summit of the United Nations. Countries all over the world had started making progress towards their individual targets by the year 2030 before the 2015 meeting, and the global summit not only streamlined the process but made it a common goal to make better societies for their occupants. The insurance sector bears many responsibilities. The sector caters to risk taking, risk bearing and investments. This study’s main aim is to investigate the role of the insurance sector in supporting the achievement of vision 2030. \u0000Methodology: In this study, a systematic search was carried using search engines such as Google Scholar, Google Books, Semantic Scholar, Science.gov and ResearchGate, using the keywords; “insurance”, “development”, and “vision 2030”. In total, 35 papers, published until between November 2012 and January 2022, were extracted from these databases. After removing duplicates, the titles and abstracts of these articles were reviewed based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The inclusion criteria relate to all books and researches that scrutinize the role insurance plays in attaining vision 2030 goals. The exclusion criteria included non-English articles and publications whose full text could not be accessed due to varying reasons. Subsequent to careful screening of these articles, books and publications a handful of them were picked to assist in this study. \u0000Findings: This study found that the insurance sector, in many of the nations discussed is tasked with provision of offering sound policies to citizens, as one of major goals of the vision 2030 is to improve the quality of life. In most of the third world countries, , the insurance sector is tasked with providing better governance solutions as well as insuring innovations that advocate for a better environment and climate change. The study also established that for the insurance sector to thrive while going hand in hand with development objectives, its prosperity heavily relies in its ability to adapt to technological changes and adapt new innovation such as artificial intelligence to operate smoothly in the future. \u0000Recommendations: This paper recommends that Insurance companies, to effectively support achievement of the vision 2030 should consider some of the propose approaches by this study. First and foremost, technology is rapidly evolving, and insurers need to invest in artificial intelligence, because as we know it, the world will be much further advanced in 2030, such as intelligent credit rating systems using big data and analytics. It was embarked upon to reveal the desirability of involving people at the community level in the environmental management as a means of enhancing their environmental knowledge, attitudes and practices. It is well documented that inhabitants of rural communities often exhibit low knowledge of and poor attitude towards the environment, a situation that diminishes quality of human life. \u0000Methodology: The pretest-posttest, control group, quasi-experimental design with 2x2x2 factorial matrix was adopted. Four local government areas were purposively selected. Two rural communities were then selected from each local government areas, using stratified random sampling technique. Forty (40) members of Community Development Associations (CDAs) who reside in selected rural communities and whose age ranges between 25-55years were purposively selected from designed rural communities in four (04) local government areas of Oyo State. The participants were randomly assigned to CBPA (experimental) and direct teaching method (control) groups. Treatment lasted eight weeks. \u0000Findings: Treatment had a significant main effect on participants’ environmental knowledge (F(1.126) = 88.04; ŋ2 = 0.98) but none on attitude and practices. Participants in the CBPA group had a higher posttest environmental score ( = 23.58) than their counterparts in the control group ( = 10.57). Participants with high level education had slightly higher environmental attitude ( = 60.48) than those with low-level education ( = 59.34). There was no significant main effect of gender on participants’ environmental knowledge, attitude and practices. Level of education was not significant on participants’ environmental knowledge, attitude and practices. The two-way interaction effects of treatment and gender on participants’ environmental knowledge, attitude and practices were not significant. The three-way interaction effect of treatment, gender and level of education was significant on participants’ environmental attitude (F(1.126) = 4.44; ŋ2 = 0.03). Higher attitude score was recorded for low-level education males ( = 62.72) compared with their high-level education counterparts ( = 62.00) while high-level education females had higher attitude ( = 65.09) than low-level education females ( = 64.73). \u0000Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that more health personnel should be recruited in the rural communities to monitor environmental sanitation with an enhanced communal effort in solving environmental problems. \u0000Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The sudy provides empirical evidence on the impact of the Community-Based Paricipatory Approach on the people of rural communities towards maintenance and sustainance of healthy environment.

A total of 422 households were systematically sampled. Data were collected using two instruments; household interview guides and key informant interview guide. Data analysis was done using SPSS (version 20) computer software program. Frequency tables, pie charts and bar graphs are used to present the findings of the study. Descriptive statistics were presented using maximum, minimum, mean, percentage, and standard deviations. Significance correlation between descriptive variables was tested using Chi square test and Spearman correlation coefficient at 0.05 level of significance. \u0000Results: The findings of the study revealed that there was a response rate of 90.3% with more than half of the respondents being household heads. The average number of years the respondents had lived in the area was 43. The researcher sought livelihood strategies pursued in the past, presently and enumerated the reasons for disparity where it existed. Climate change was cited as a major cause of disparity at 40.7% followed by increased levels of education, changing land use and need to increase income and availability of market in that order. Assets (physical, financial and social) were found to have a significant influence on livelihoods outcomes. Challenges the respondents faced however was found to have no significant influence on the livelihood outcomes (χ=1.017, df =1, p=0.313). Finally, there was significant relationship between the adopted livelihood strategies and livelihood outcomes (χ2=14.730, df =1, p=0.000, r=-0.197). \u0000Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The government should strengthen Cooperative Development and Trade and Industry to the ward level. Thus, the strategy against this scourge gained increased attention within countries and across the globe. The poverty reduction strategy aims to pull people out of degrading living conditions. The debate on poverty reduction is of paramount significance because various approaches are suggested to address this issue, but with mixed results. That is because often, these approaches apply regardless of the circumstances of place and time. On this note, many keep attributing the success and failure of poverty reduction strategies in Low-Income Countries to the income distribution issue. Hence, this success and failure are thought to be linked to the adjustment between unlimited needs and the allocation of scarce resources required to address socio-economic issues formalised by poverty indicators. Engaged in another perspective, a great deal of literature and evidence suggests that the explanation of this success and failure could well be found upstream, namely, from the industrialisation, economic diversification and growth established as prominent tools to improve social welfare. Indeed, this literature and evidence contend that Low-Income countries are still struggling to manage poverty reduction as their economic circumstances exhibit weak industrialisation as well as inconsequential economic diversification and growth. This literature and evidence could be subject to scrutiny for a better understanding of poverty. Hence, this paper contributes to this debate by assessing selected literature and evidence. It establishes to what extent industrialisation, as well as economic diversification and growth, predispose Low-Income countries’ ability and inability to encounter effectively the issue of poverty. empirical regularities economic diversification associating economic diversification with employment, wage and consumption per capita. a lower diversification a lower labour coefficient of 0.5, lower coefficient of consumption per capita of 0.01 and lower wage rate, all led to the lower average income per capita, less than $1 per day, the role of diversification as a determining factor in combatting poverty. a empirical study using the cross-sectoral rebalancing of output approach scaled from zero to one, the Bank assessed the of diversification on between 1991 and 2018 in Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa and East Asia Pacific.
