By load balancing we mean scheduling the jobs in a way that every job could be executed concurrently while it is mapped to a processing unit, such as a processor (in a multi-processor system) or a computer (in a grid computer). It has been proved that dynamic load balancing is an NP-complete problem and designing an optimal scheduler that increases the efficiency and speed of the parallel systems is desired. These systems use a set of predefined items from which users specify their preferences simply by selecting from a fixed list. As a result, they can’t put it in their own words. Moreover, these systems only consider the “exact similarity matching” among the users’ interests to find and recommend new friends. The main focus of this paper is to introduce a new approach for matching more compatible friends on social networking websites. Contrary to existing approaches, our system let users specify their interests in their own words. Thus, users do not need to select their preferences from a predefined list. In addition, we define “compatibility” by introducing two new relations between users’ interests: “semantic” and “complementary” relations for the purpose of matching compatible users. We chose 50 members from Live Journal social network as our experimental case in this study and calculated compatibility degrees between each pair of them. This paper proposes a parallel and distributed implementation method to speedup the execution time to address the training of larger pattern-classification benchmarking problems. The proposed method is a hybrid technique that adopts form the merits of two common parallel and distributed training methods, namely network partitioning and pattern partitioning. Experimentation is carried out on a large pattern-classification benchmarking problem using two Master-Slave parallel systems, a homogeneous system using a cluster computer and a heterogeneous system using a set of commodity computers connected via switched network. The proposed module uses a Neurological Memory test named Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE). It is authorized to be used only by neurologist, neuropsychologist and psychiatrist for determining the cognitive level. Doctors use the score of MMSE to evaluate the cognitive level of the patient. According to the method used here, the score below 21 indicates low cognitive level. It uses two Neural Network techniques namely Single Layer Perceptron and Multilayer Feed Forward Perceptron Algorithm. It analyzes each input from the MMSE test and intelligently screens whether the patient is normal or with low Cognitive level thereby reducing the considerable load of doctors or evaluators. In addition to denoising property of wavelet transformation, the proposed approach appeals to its decor relating nature. Our method improves the performance of radar systems with large array antenna, such as OTH radars in STAP applications. We show that the conglomeration of Prony estimator and ASA algorithm achieve good performance in terms of detection and resolution in comparison with the classical STAP algorithm in the presence of powerful external correlated interference. Moreover, we present how to apply STAP technique to parameter estimation of target in the correlated non-Gaussian interference environments that causes Maximum Likelihood (ML) function be nonlinear with respect to the angle and Doppler. In the following, ASA algorithm is employed for global optimization of all nonlinear functions. Strained silicon is used to increase saturated NMOS and PMOS drive currents and enhance electron mobility. Compressive strain is introduced by two techniques strained in the PMOS channel using SiGe such as uniaxial strained and biaxial strained. Tensile strain is introduced in the NMOS channels by using a post siliconnitride capping layer. ATHENA and ATLAS simulators were used to simulate the fabrication process and to characterize the electrical properties respectively. It can be concluded that NMOS strained technology having high tensile stress improve by 46.9% drain current. PMOS strained technology having compressive stress using biaxial strained PMOS improve 16.4% while uniaxial strained PMOS improve 21.4%. In this paper a tree based placement algorithm is proposed that its specifications are efficiency and low execution time. The main feature of this placement algorithm is that it is easy and simple to implement. Furthermore, the effects of inter-task dependency on speed and hardware resource utilization are investigated, which are important in pursuing appropriate policies for task placement based on various workload characterization. Smart Meter technology is the first step towards achieving this goal. This paper discusses a novel low-cost Home Energy Information Gateway (HEIG) solution which can provide the Smart Meter display and communication interface through a Set Top Box like gateway device on the television and offer a varied range of benefits to the consumers and utility providers. The proposed solution provides a real-time view of the energy consumption at home on the Home Television. In addition it can also provide daily, monthly and annual energy usage statistics along with a mechanism to provide alerts when the energy consumption exceeds certain pre-defined thresholds. By interfacing with the utility provider’s portal over the web, it can provide a mechanism to introduce dynamic tariff and in future, as intelligent electrical appliances become available, a means to control the energy consumption of home electrical appliances from the Home Television itself.
