It doesn't consider the word-order or syntactic information, which can improve the knowledge representation and therefore lead to better performance. This article presents a novel approach called dependency-based weighted semantic similarity model which takes syntactic relations into account and incorporates word-based information in addition to dependency parsing. The experiment shows that compared with traditional word-based weighted semantic similarity model, the dependency-based weighted semantic similarity model improves the precision obviously. It also provides better discrimination of syntactic-semantic knowledge representation than the traditional one.","PeriodicalId":192986,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126491237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A scientific traffic flow model can properly deal with the severe conflicts between traffic application and demand , efficiently analyse and solve some actual traffic matters. Since the last decade of 20th century , researchers on various fields have recognized the complexity of traffic flow which has attracted many traffic scientists, mathematicians, physicists and economists into this area. The paper reviews the recent discoveries on and development of car-following model theories, and analyzes the main differences between the researchers from the Micro-Modeling. In the light of research practices and investigating the differences and relations of these research methods, we put forward some new views for further study of car following models.","PeriodicalId":192986,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121530772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the relational progress still stays in traditional measuring methods, such as cement heat of hydration. In our research, Concrete cracking is evaluated effectively by restrained testing with the uniaxial restrained and adjusted temperature-stress testing machine (USATTM). The measure parameters include the modulus of elasticity, creep, and the coefficient of thermal deformation. The computer control system is reliable and low-cost. USATTM meets most of the technical indexes and reach to its design demand.","PeriodicalId":192986,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133558524","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two modes of operations are defined in the encoder part, i.e. intra-mode and inter-mode. A blended algorithm based on Mean Coding and Conventional VQ (MCCVQ) using an intra-codebook is adopted for the intra-mode of operation. In the inter-mode of operation, no-encode sub-mode is for static block, and encode sub-mode is for motion block. There are two techniques for the encode sub-mode, one is based on the technique of the hybrid Conventional VQ (HCVQ) method, the other is based on the technique of the Hybrid Residual VQ (HRVQ). The most prominent characteristic of this HVQ based encoder is the high performance with simple structure, which is conductive to hardware implementation. Experimental results indicate that the HVQ based algorithm is feasible for the head-shoulder sequence coding in the application of video telephony applications.","PeriodicalId":192986,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130794651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So it adds a great deal of difficulty to wireless network optimizers when they are dealing with network problems. In response to this problem, in this paper, taken the CDMA network as an example, the method of wireless network fault diagnosis based on Bayesian Network is discussed. Two diagnosis models, Causation Bayesian Network model and Naive Bayesian Network model, are established and applied to experiment. They are testified to be precise and reliable and the result is used to evaluate the advantage and disadvantage of them. Besides, for the incompleteness of actual performance data, three mature incomplete-data-set learning methods, Monte-Carlo method, Gaussian algorithm and EM algorithm, are applied, whose function and shortcoming are explained.","PeriodicalId":192986,"journal":{"name":"2009 Second International Symposium on Knowledge Acquisition and Modeling","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-11-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134521464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
