The key problems of IT specialists training (especially, the issues of the development of professional competencies) and methods of their solution are considered. A sequence of modeling steps has been proposed, enabling one to perform a system and business analysis of an enterprise as an economic and management entity for the purpose of its business processes reengineering, up to the implementation of a prototype of the process under study with respect to its robotization as part of the graduation thesis. In this article, we discuss the possibilities offered by statistical experiments in math packages to study the notion of p-value (or p-level) and other statistical tools. In particular, an experimental verification of the central limit theorem is described and various criteria for testing hypotheses about the type of distribution are compared. Experimental material is used to explain the advantage of applying p-value in the case of correlation coefficient and the geometric meaning of the multiple correlation coefficient is explained. But in this direction there are many difficulties and unsolved scientific problems. Based on the analysis of educational standards in this area, the goals, objectives, principles, functions of ICT in teaching stochastics are determined. The conclusion is made about a consistent, expedient combination of traditional educational technologies and ICT in the educational process. They are architecturally impressive and recyclable. Design omissions and deterioration of the structural elements with time, however, are significant issues. They require training competent specialists to be fixed and mitigated. The following fault analysis skills are considered in the present paper: identifying features which indicate the structural failure, tracking failure propagation throughout the membrane, detecting anomalies in the behavior of the building constructions using artificial neural networks. Fault analysis skills imply teamwork, rather than standalone personal activity. They contribute to firm development of soft skills of the researchers and stimulate using high-level open source software libraries for artificial intelligence applications. Development of fault analysis skills helps the researcher and the project manager to gain an insight into the structural behavior of deteriorated building constructions.
