The person has to sustain his employability by the process of continuous enhancement of his skills by way of various trainings and workshops. So, skills are essential for the development of a person and the country’s economy. This paper deals with the study of the current skill gap scenario prevailing in India and various schemes and programmes propelled by the Government of India to bridge the gap. Self -actualization has its own impact on the organizational behavior of employees and the behavior of self- actualized is proven better than those who are not self-actualized. Already several researches have done to find the prominence of self-actualization on employee satisfaction and performance, but the research is limited in the area of academicians. This paper is attempted to find the demographic priorities of academicians of Tamil Nadu universities on self- actualization. \u0000Descriptive research design was followed in this study. To support the objective the researcher collected 178 samples by using purposive stratified random sampling technique. With the help of ANOVA, and Independent sample t test were used to find the results. Roy","doi":"10.51983/ajms-2020.9.2.1639","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51983/ajms-2020.9.2.1639","url":null,"abstract":"The study applies stochastic frontier approach to estimate and decompose the sources of total factor productivity growth (TFPG) of the 2-digit manufacturing industries of petroleum and coal products in fifteen major industrialized states in India as well as in All-India during the period from 1981-82 to 2010-11, during the entire period, during the pre-reform period (1981-82 to 1990-91) and post-reform period (1991-92 to 2010-11), and also during two different decades of the post-reform period, i.e., during 1991-92 to 2000-01 and 2001-02 to 2010-11. The components of TFPG are: technological progress (TP), technical efficiency change (TEC), economic scale change (SC) and allocation efficiency change (AEC). According to the estimated results, technological progress (TP) is the major contributing factor to TFPG of the organized manufacturing industries of petroleum and coal products in India and in its fifteen major industrializes states during 1981-82 to 2010-11. Further, TFPG of the 2-digit manufacturing industries of petroleum and coal products in India and in its fifteen major industrialized states declined during the post-reform period and the decline in TFPG of these 2-digit industries during that period is mainly accounted for by the decline in TP of the same during that period. However, allocation efficiency change (AEC) and economic scale change (SC) of them remain very negligible or even negative too in many states under study. Further, TEC of them remain unchanged or it is time invariant in nature as statistical tests suggest. So that increase in the combined effect of AEC and SC of them could not offset the decrease in their TP during that period. The recent announcement to strategically disinvest some of the better performing PSEs like Life Insurance Corporation of India Ltd., Air India and so on is indeed shocking. This seriously questions the intension of the government towards the declared objectives of the disinvestment strategy in 1991. There are severe apprehensions on selling-off the PSEs at a lower price and the utilization of disinvestment proceeds for filling the revenue deficits of the Central Government. This paper discusses the idea of disinvestment in India and the debates associated with it. This paper tries to examine the impact of capital structure on the financial performance of Pharmaceutical companies in India. Capital structure is measured by the Debt Equity Ratio and firm performance as measured by Return on Equity. Regression Analysis is used to analyze the impact of capital structure on the financial performance of the pharmaceutical companies in India. The result indicates that the financial performance has no link with capital structure, which proves the Modigliani and Miller Theory of Capital Structure. Data was collected among 400 students across Higher Education institutions in Andhra Pradesh using random sampling technique. Dimensions of SERVQUAL model (ParasurRaman, 1985), namely Responsiveness, Cooperation, Assurance, Empathy, Tangibles (Access to resources) were used in the questionnaire. Cross tabulation in SPSS and Pearson correlation were employed as analytical methods. The other purpose is to measure overall customer satisfaction with the services provided by top 3 Indian private and top 3 Indian public commercial banks in Surat. Qualitative methods were used to develop the scope of research to study customer perception. This research study is descriptive in nature. The most appropriate method for selecting the target population is the sampling method of non-probability comfort followed by stratified sampling technique. Of the 1,200 questionnaires distributed, 973 questionnaires were finally considered to correctly analyze the data. Appropriate statistical tools and techniques were used for the research study. Factors were found to differentiate performance based on types of banks. For the reliability of private banks, the response elements and the marketing mix have a great relationship with overall satisfaction, as well as an important relationship between overall customer satisfaction and loyalty. For public sector banks, there is an important relationship between the elements of collateral and the marketing mix, the overall satisfaction of customers, and the overall satisfaction and loyalty. ICICI is the leading bank in terms of performance from a customer perspective and among the public sector bank BOB (Bank of Baroda) which has performed much better than other banks. With the researcher the researcher tries to establish a relationship between customer satisfaction and effective management of the customer relationship. The researcher concludes that for some factors, there is an important relationship between CRM and overall customer satisfaction and an increase in the customer base. Pradhan Mantri MUDRA scheme or PMMY initiated by government in this favour. PMMY launch in 2015 with objective to provide financial support to non-farm enterprise. The scheme synergizes with other schemes like national rural livelihoods mission, make in India and credit guarantee fund for micro units to fulfil the individual scheme objectives with MUDRA scheme. In this paper system dynamics modelling has been applied for the assessment of MUDRA scheme in socio-economic sustainable development of India. The causal loop diagram drawn based on that stock flow diagram has been constructed. Research is descriptive in nature and it is covered the time span of ten years. It is based on the secondary data which is collected from official websites, government reports, journals and newspaper.
