The last few decades recorded tremedous activities of women entrepreneurs. Funding is a critical challenge to present and prospective women entrepreneurs. Microfinancing contitutes a principal source of easy access to funds. Microfinancing comprises financial and non-financial services which could possibly be a driving force to women entreprenuship and empowerment. However, the presence of microfinancing is though visible but there is lack of necessary investigation revealing the impact of microfinancing on entrepreneurial activities among women. Also, repayment problems pose threats of continuity to both microcredit institutions and entrepreneurs. A number of repayment strategies are in existence but there is lack of necessary investigation showing the influence of these repayment strategies on entrepreneurship growth among women. The focus of this study was to evaluate how Microfinancing has influenced entrepreneurship growth among women. This study adopted survey research design and convenience sampling technique. The study concluded that microfinancing has a significant impact on entreprenuship growth among women in Ogun State, Nigeria. Moreover, the developed model would serve as a useful inspiring construct for researchers.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"293 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114842946","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This investigation covers the period between 1978 and 2018. Exchange rate volatility is captured from the variance of the residuals by employing the testing procedure of ARCH (Engle, 1982) and GARCH (Bollerslev, 1986) models and its impact upon FDI is estimated by an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach which is developed by Pesaren et al. (2001). The estimated results indicated that exchange rate volatility exerted significant positive impact on FDI during the period between 1978 and 2018 and the results show that exchange rate, exchange rate volatility, inflation, infrastructure, local and foreign interest rate, real GDP, political stability, and trade openness are the crucial determinants of FDI inflow in Sri Lanka. These findings are supported with Goldberg and Kolstad (1994) and it helps to the policy makers to concentrate exchange rate volatility, other macro-economic stability and political stability are key to boom FDI inflow in Sri Lanka.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"438 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124256315","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of thiepaper is to provide information on the determinants of capacity utilization among agribusinesses in Nigeria. Providing this information is necessary to deliver good policies and strategic support from governments as well as providing a favourable business environment that will help agribusinesses reach their potential. This study adopted the survey design. Data were collected from 2014 the World Bank Enterprise survey. Purposive sampling technique was used to select all the agribusiness enterprise categories included in the World Bank data. These categories include food, tobacco, textiles, garments, leather, wood, and paper industries. The data were analyzed with instrumental variable estimation technique. Result from the analysis showed that size of enterprise and legal status were statistically significantly different from zero at 1% level of significance while Experience of top manager was found to be significant at 5% per cent level of significance. The result, therefore, revealed the existence of significant effects of firm characteristics on capacity utilization of agribusiness firms. Among other things, effort must be made to harness the potential of women agribusiness leaders, as well as small agribusinesses in the country as they appeared to be the most efficient and performing entity in the country. No previous study in the country has been carried out to uncover these determinants and how they can be improved to deliver a robust agribusiness sector.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125277881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considered as merely coming back home could be extremely stressful as given to understand through previous studies and while many factors could attribute to the same, many practitioners argued that it could be repatriate’s own attitude towards pro-activeness that is an increasingly important component of the repatriate transition outcome. Human resource is a very important aspect of any functioning health system. However this aspect is often neglected in the development of the health system and when it comes to the disease control programmes not enough importance is given to this aspect. Generally human resource in health is often ignored and just seen as an administrative function in disease control programmes. This affects the overall effectiveness of the programmes in terms of its impact on disease control. We observe an acute shortage of trained manpower especially in the developing countries. There are several reasons of such a crisis like situation in human resources in health system. Among them some are like HIV/AIDS Epidemic, Training Capacity, Brain drain, Poor working conditions and Remuneration. Especially the HIV/AIDS control programmes have suffered a lot due the shortage of trained manpower particularly in countries where HIV is among the main health problems. However there are ways in which such problems can be addressed to ensure the sustainability of HIV control and other disease control initiatives in developing world to reach near to the Millennium Development Goals (MDG –particularly Goal- ) in health. In this paper authors discuss the evidence based solutions to the problem of human resource in health sector to combat HIV/AIDS and other diseases in developing countries. Some of the initiative to address the problem may be improving the training capacity, improving use of available skills, staff retention and support, recognizing the health workers rights and putting them first along with taking care of administrative issues involved in the management of the human resources.","PeriodicalId":191546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Managerial Science","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127663172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
