This paper presents a parameter estimation method of induction motor at standstill. Based on the static model of the machine, a DC or a single phase AC current is injected into the motor, and then all the parameters, that is resistance and inductance, are estimated by processing transient response data. The effect of the nonlinearity of the system is concerned and compensated to improve the estimation precision of the parameters. A partial solution to this crisis is the use of decentralized generations (DG) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) plug-in electric vehicles. This paper presents a novel multiple pick-up bidirectional inductive power transfer (IPT) system, which enables efficient and contactless integration of hybrid vehicles into typical DG systems. The proposed system uses a reversible rectifier on each side of the contactless IPT system to control both the amount and direction of power flow through phase modulation. The development of brake control strategy is divided into two parts: PI and Fuzzy-PI control schemes. In addition to the design of controllers, a speed trajectory consisting of acceleration, constant speed, and deceleration is planned in order to provide the driver more comfortable feeling. The simulation is performed in a developed vehicle longitudinal Matlab/Simulink model to observe the response of the overall system. In the system validation, a brake actuator with a microprocessor is equipped and implemented in our experimental platform. A model of an existing vehicle drivetrain is validated against experimental data collected over an eight month period. Modeling the vehicle with a flywheel energy storage system, a corresponding control scheme for the generator is proposed. Based on the recorded driving conditions, a series of simulations are conducted to verify the feasibility and performance of the proposed design. Electrical vehicles (EV) have two main advantages compared to hybrid and gasoline vehicle: eliminated tailpipe emissions and simplified drive-train. However, electric vehicles have a limited range between recharges when fitted with the current state-of-the-art energy storage. To mitigate the limitations of the energy storage technology, we propose to use inductively coupled power transfer (ICPT) to supply power to the vehicle while it is moving. ICPT is an efficient technique for transferring power with no physical connection between the source and the load. In this paper we investigate the ICPT requirements for two types of vehicles operating in combination with ICPT system. The first vehicle makes use of a battery as primary and ICPT as secondary energy source for electric vehicle supplying. The goal is to achieve 300 miles range of covering. The second uses electrochemical capacitors (Ultracapacitors) as the power source and ICPT as the energy source. The goal is to provide unlimited range for the vehicle. Then a HIL test bench based of an Opal-RT HILBOX and a dSPACE Simulator is built. In different architectures of HEVs the most favourable architecture is a series-parallel HEV, because of its high operation modes and performance as it joins the advantages of both series and parallel HEVs. In spite of its advantages, this system is more complex and intricate to model. Lying in the heart of this type of architecture is the planetary gear which has a vital role because of its power distribution. This paper aims to reduce the complexity of the system with a modelling comparison of the planetary gear for a series-parallel HEV by both structural and functional approaches. In order to describe the two modelling approaches, Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) is used for the functional approach and Simdriveline by MATLAB-Simulink™ for the structural modelling approach. The controller has the feature of being simple and it is able to guarantee global voltage regulation. The controller is based on the piece-continuous model of the converter and it works by switching between performance surfaces that depends on the state vector. The switching surfaces are chosen differently for each cell of the interleaved converter in order to guarantee, both maximum current and voltage ripple. Furthermore, a given phase between current signals can also be guaranteed. A 12kW three-phase soft-switching inverter using CoolMOS as the main device and IGBT as the auxiliary device has been designed and fabricated. The electric vehicle drive test system has been assembled with soft-switching inverter, induction motor and dynamometer. The soft-switching inverter has been tested with closed-loop torque direction control under speed reversal conditions. The measured efficiency of the inverter in a wide load range is above 98.5%. A range simulation model for DCT vehicles has been established to evaluate the effects on dynamic performance and fuel economy. A fuzzy logic controller for engine throttle and a PID controller for brake force are used for vehicle operation.
