If biological some of these cocoon-eggs may be frozen, fossilized or have already “hatched” or undergone metamorphosis. Specimens resembling segmented and tubular worms and rhizoids and those with multiple appendages (Arthropoda) were also photographed on these and other substrates on Mars, including on Sols 130, 132, 302, 551, 553, 808, 809, 868, 906, 1280, 1921, in Gale Crater. Many Sol 1302 “cocoon-eggs” are embedded in substrate that appears to consist entirely of a coral-stromatolite-like mass of worm- and larvae-like forms; and similar worm and segmented larvae forms appear in the interior of three semi-transparent ovoid structures. Embedded in the soil surrounding these “cocoon-eggs” are numerous concave patches reminiscent of dried “egg-yolk,” cocoon remnants or fungus, and that may represent the final stage of “cocoon” collapse and disintegration; or they are fungal in origin. Some of the segmented and tubular worm-like forms may include rhizoids and tubular fungi. Ovoids with open apertures may be evidence of fungal sporing. The possibility that fungus and diverse species and their “cocoons” share the same substrate is supported by what appears to be cyanobacteria, worms, insecta (arthropoda), and stalks topped by ovoids or ovoid-shaped microbialite-like sediment. Fungi, lichens, cyanobacteria, stromatolites and arthropoda have been previously reported in other areas of Gale Crater, whereas fungal “puffballs” and specimens attached to rocks with stalks and topped with mushroom-like caps have been observed in Meridiani Planum. The possibility these specimens are abiogenic cannot be ruled out. The evidence, in our view, arguably supports the hypotheses that various organisms colonized Mars in the ancient or recent past.","PeriodicalId":191002,"journal":{"name":"Applied Cell Biology","volume":"168 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132130665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They're becoming more well recognized as one of the most important food components because to their important functions in human health, nutrition, and disease. If waste isn't managed, it can cause environmental concerns, but it can be beneficial if it's used as a growing media supplement for oyster mushroom production. The goal of this research is to look into and evaluate the impact of sawdust, rice straw, and paper, as well as their mixtures, on the yield and nutritional composition of Pleurotus ostreatus mushrooms.The results revealed that different substrates formulas gave a significant difference in total colonization period, characteristics of fruiting bodies, yield, biological efficiency (BE), nutritional composition of Pleurotus ostreatus (os) mushroom. The highest length and diameter of stock, highest diameter and thickness of pileus was observed in the treartment SD+RS+PAPER(3.32,1.24,7.32,0.88cm) and the lowest was observed in paper (2.1,0.89,5.73,0.71 cm). The highest time from inoculation to primordia initiation was observed in paper (47 days) and the lowest time from inoculation to primordia initiation was in the treatment rice straw (26 days). The highest average number of fruiting body/packet was observed in the treatment saw dust + rice straw + paper (23.00) and the lowest average number of fruiting body /packet was in the treatment paper(15.00).The highest biological yield was counted under treatment SD+RS+PAPER(253.41g) and the lowest biological yield was counted under paper (177.5g). The content of protein varied from 12.88-9.03% (w/w). The lowest lipid percentage was counted under treatment saw dust + rice straw(3.38%) and the highest lipid percentage was counted under saw dust (7.71 %). The highest percentage of crude fiber was counted under treatment SD+RS+PAPER (10.48%) and the lowest crude fiber percentage was counted under RS+SD (7.01%). The lowest percentage of carbohydrate was counted under treatment SD (51.82%) and the highest carbohydrate percentage was counted under SD+RS (56.63%). The lowest percentage of moisture was counted under treatment SD+RS (8.86%) and the highest moisture percentage was counted under RS (11.2%). The highest percentage of ash was counted under treatment SD+RS (13.5%) and the lowest ash percentage was counted under RS (9.1%).Therefore, it can be concluded that sawdust+rice straw+paper can be utilized as a better substrate for the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus oyster mushrooms, lowering costs while enhancing yield and nutritional quality. It is from this reason that this study was necessitated. A total of 60 species of wild macrofungi belonging to 25 families we documented during the period of this study (April to July 2021). Agaricaceae family recorded the highest number of species (12), followed by Polyporaceae (10), Psathyrellaceae (5), Marasmiaceae (4), Amanitaceae (3), Gomphaceae, Lycophyllaceae, Physalacriaceae, Hymenochaetaceae, Gamodermataceae and Strophariaceae recorded 2 species each. Pluteaceae, Stereaceae, Bondarzewiaceae, Schizophyllaceae, Entolomaceae, Cortinariaceae, Pleurotaceae, Dacrymycetaceae, Auriculariaceae, Tricholomataceae, Hygrophoraceae, Hydnangiaceae, Tubiferaceae and Lycoperdaceae recorded 1 species respectively. Out of the 60 macrofungi recorded, 36 species (60.00%) were non-edible, 13 species (21.67 %) were edible, 2 (3.33%) were choice edible and 2 (3.33%) edible but not recommended respectively. 1 species (1.67%) each were poisonous, psychoactive, edible while young, not recommended, non-poisonous but leathery, edible but shows allergic reactions in some individuals and unknown edibility status. Analysis on the growth substrate of the macrofungi species found revealed that; 32 species (53.33%) grew on dead wood, 25 species (41.67%) on soil, 2 species (3.33%) on living tree trunk and 1 species (1.67%) on decaying organic matter. The list and inventory provided by this study will give baseline information that will be needed in the assessment of changes that may occur in wild macrofungi diversity in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The rich diversity of wild occurring macrofungi in Akwa Ibom State offers huge economic life for the local inhabitants in terms of nutriton, health and medicine as well as ecosystem stability at large. These abnormalities and relations can help to understand more the complex, and hidden information. This information clearly describes the genetic mutations causes in the organisms such as human. Several systems and algorithms have been proposed and implemented to solve this issue, since the digital information is provided for free online from different resources that describe the human mutations and the different variations in genes. Machine learning, especially deep artificial neural network, has proven its ability to overcome the limitations of these traditional algorithms and remarkably performing at extraordinary accuracies compared to conventional methods such as statistical techniques and others. Results: In this paper, a multilabel hyper-artificial neural networks model classifier is proposed and implemented for predicting rare mendelian diseases. It is called Seq_B_LSTM_CNN_HPO. The proposed system trained on more than 50 features obtained from four data sources, Gene Ontology (GO), Human Phenotype Ontology (HPO), UniProtKB, and Gene Expressions to learn complex features and relations. The proposed system was tested on UniProtKB dataset and compared with different proposed systems in the fields. The experiment was performed on human organism for variety of analytical study in order to find new relations between phenotype diseases. The tabulated results are evaluated using six different unique evaluation metrics with outstanding results scores of Fmax, Precision, Recall, AUPR, AUROC, Smin with scores of 0.894, 0.902, 0.886, 0.711, 0.631, 0.384 which outperformed several proposed systems in the literature. Although genetic transformation methods have been trailed by many research groups for several years, the variation in transformation efficiency and difficulties in handling tissue culture plantlets made it difficult to optimize a reliable protocol. In this study, we established an alternative protocol of genetic transformation by introducing GUS Plus reporter gene into the genome of a S. glauca through the Agrobacterium-mediated gene transfer method which is the first report in India. Leaf explants co-cultivated with Agrobacterium LBA4404 strains harboring pCAMBIA 1305.1 vector have shown the presence of GUS Plus and HptII gene by PCR analysis as well as GUS assay. The outcome of our research provides fundamental information on efficient gene transformation in S. glauca which will help to enhance future research on the genetic transformation of S. glauca.","PeriodicalId":191002,"journal":{"name":"Applied Cell Biology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128397656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
