The increasing rates of physical inactivity are partly caused by perceived obstacles to physical activity. Physical inactivity is the primary cause of roughly 21-25% of the burden of breast and colon cancer, diabetes, and ischemic heart disease. \u0000Study Aim: To determine the perceived barriers to physical activity among overweight and obese adult patients attending the GOPC, LUTH using the barrier portion of the Exercise Benefit and Barrier Scale (EBBS). \u0000Methodology: The research was a cross-sectional, descriptive study conducted in LUTH. Data was collected by means of questionnaire and interview. Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS IBM) version 25 was used for data entry, cleaning, and assessment. Frequency and percentage were used to represent all categorical parameters, and means, standard deviation, or, in the case of skewed continuous variables, median and interquartile range, were used to summarize them via systematic random sampling, 285 overweight and obese adults between the ages of 18 and 64 were chosen. \u0000Result: The majority of overweight and obese adults (78.6%) felt that there were moderate to high levels of barriers to physical activity, most of which had to do with physical exertion. Age, family type, highest degree of education, type of occupation, median earnings, co-morbidity, smoking, and alcohol consumption, though significantly associated with levels of perceived barriers, were not independent predictors of a high level of perceived barriers. \u0000Recommendation: Further evaluation of the perceived barriers to physical activity should be carried out to identify overweight and obese adults who encounter high barriers to physical activity. During lifestyle counseling, physical exertion, the most common barrier subscale to physical activity in this study, should be considered and addressed as appropriate.

The livestock sub-sector contributes an estimated 12% of the total and over 45% to the agricultural gross domestic product (GDP). However, the benefits derived from livestock are far below the existing potential. While many factors are attributable to the problem, livestock diseases remain the most important constraint to the development of the subsector. This is because livestock diseases are distributed across all agroecological zones of the country. In addition, the Ethiopian Government is building two standard quarantine stations in strategic locations closer to the seaports of Djibouti and Berbera. APHRD is also introducing hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) systems in two model abattoirs, namely, Mojo Modern and Luna. The two export abattoirs are expected to be accredited for HACCP at international levels.

In the context of Ghanaian basic schools, this review carefully analyzes the body of literature on play-based education. This investigation provides in-depth insight into the enormous influence of play-based learning on Ghana's educational system by integrating empirical investigations, educational theories, and cultural factors. The literature underscores that play-based pedagogy is a catalyst for holistic development, nurturing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in children. Through self-directed play, students actively engage in exploration, problem-solving, and creative expression, establishing a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Integrating local cultural norms and traditions into play-based activities not only strengthens cultural identity but also bridges generational gaps by transmitting traditional values and knowledge. Crucially, play-based approaches cultivate innovative and adaptive skills, preparing students to navigate the complexities of the modern world. By fostering critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability, play-based pedagogy nurtures the essential skills for 21st-century success. Furthermore, these approaches ensure inclusivity by accommodating diverse learning styles and needs, promoting equitable educational opportunities. Collaboration emerges as a pivotal driver for the effective implementation of play-based pedagogy. Educators, parents, policymakers, and communities play interdependent roles in advocating for policy changes, sharing best practices, and creating supportive environments. This collaborative spirit cultivates a dynamic ecosystem where play-based learning thrives and evolves. As a transformative force, play-based pedagogy envisions the future of education in Ghanaian basic schools. Kenya has been the leading exporter to Europe with about 25 percent on the market share. COVID-19 has had a particularly negative impact on Kenya's cut-flower industry, which have long been a vital supplier for shops, weddings, and funerals in Europe and abroad. The company lost a crucial portion of its logistical supply chain due to restrictions on international flights and domestic transportation. Weddings, funerals, and other public gatherings all came to a halt and were severely reduced around the world, and demand for the commodity peaked. As a result, several flower growers, including Karen Roses, were compelled to throw away unsold blossoms. The study specifically focused on the following objectives: to investigate how the COVID-19 affected the production of the flowers, to determine the effects of Health Protocols on the Performance of Floriculture and to find out the policies and programs they implemented to cope up with COVID-19 pandemic. The study’s target population was 220 flower farms in Kenya with Karen Roses being the study population. The primary data was collected using questionnaires both open and closed methods and secondary data analyzed with Microsoft Excel and presented using descriptive statistics such as the pie charts and graphs. In order to understand how to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and be ready to handle in the event of a future pandemic, this research project will also benefit the management sector of other flower farms, which will use it to make policy decisions. The key findings of this study were as follows; on the first research question which was to determine the effect of COVID-19 on the production of flowers, we found out that the descriptive statistics showed that production was affected by COVID-19, however, the inferential statistic implied the opposite that production was not affected by COVID-19, on the second research question which was to determine how the health protocols affected the performance of floriculture sector, we found out that both the descriptive statistics and inferential statistic showed that health protocols affected the performance of floriculture sector, hence we achieved our objective, on the third research question which was to find out if the measures that they implemented helped them cope up with COVID-19 pandemic, we found out that both the descriptive statistics and inferential statistic showed that the measures implemented affected the performance of floriculture sector, hence we achieved our objective. The study recommends the following policies which will help in case of any pandemic in the future; subsidy policy, monetary policy, fiscal policy and non-restrictions for the cargo fre

Utilizing the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Location Quotient methodologies, the study identifies prominent crops including irrigated rice, upland rice, corn, and peanuts for food crops; chili, tomatoes, mustard greens, and shallots for vegetables; and coffee, rubber, coconut, and cocoa for perennial crops. The development strategy involves farmer education in conservation agriculture, strengthening cooperative groups, and managing agricultural land conversion. Recommendations suggest the implementation of research findings through programs led by the Department of Agriculture and Plantation, with resource allocation prioritized based on a location-specific priority scale, particularly in the agricultural sector, to support the regional development of North Tapanuli Regency.
