In addition, commercial RFID shall become a popular technology for sign language recognition. As we all know, there are 70 million deaf people using sign language as their first language and sign language can facilitate communication with deaf people. However, most of the researches are isolated word recognition. There is few researches about sentence-level sign language recognition. More importantly, they are limited and it is difficult to achieve the desired results of realworld applications. So this paper introduces the first sentence-level sign language recognition system based on RFID. It mainly collects the phase sequence of signals received by commercial RFID device. We obtain relatively pure phase characteristics and present a method to carry out sign language segmentation. Effective feature extraction and classifier selection are crucial to sign language recognition. By evaluating our system in real-word environment, we fill in the gaps between corresponding low-cost sentence-level sign language recognition. We implement and evaluate through extensive experiments and the average accuracy of the method are 96% and 98.11% in different multipath scenarios. The results show that our method has high recognition accuracy and robustness.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116637898","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

How to use the users' historical check-in data for exploring their visit patterns and preference characteristics to realize personalized point-of-interest (POI) recommendation has become an important topic. Finding valid features from the check-in data is the key to POI recommendation. Deep learning is a multi-level representation learning method, which can better explore the relationship between features. Therefore, a new POI recommendation model named DLM based on deep neural network is proposed in this paper. This model incorporates topic features, user preference features and geographical factor features in the LBSN into the POI recommendation tasks, thereby it improves the efficiency of users' personalized POI recommendation. A lot of experiments on public data set Foursquare have proved the advantages and effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131277704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on Reputation Theory, the effect of doctor's online and offline reputations on first-visiting and revisiting patients are investigated by using the data from an online medical community. Moreover, the moderating roles of doctor's personal effort and patient disease type are explored. Doctor's reputation can be seen to have a stronger effect on revisiting patient than first-visiting patient. Specifically, doctor's online reputation exerts a positive effect on both first-visiting and revisiting patients, whereas doctor's medical title in doctor's offline reputation has no significant effect. Research results have significant practical values to promote the making of a tendentious resource arrangement in the OHCs.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133747087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses the non-deterministic nature of public blockchain consensus protocols and argues that the probabilistic validity of a new block does not provide adequate guarantees of accuracy and integrity which in the case of cryptocurrencies could result in quite substantial asset losses. The contribution this paper adds is to spark a new line of thinking in regards to the validity of data in blockchains.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114349727","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, haze removal has received wide attention from researchers. Most algorithms often suffer from color distortion and edge loss when dealing with the images containing large areas of sky. In this paper, we propose an effective dehazing method. The iterative threshold segmentation is used to segment the sky region out from the image, and then the brightness of the sky region is adjusted to increase clarity. The improved dark channel priori is used to process the rest regions. The transmission map is estimated by fast bilateral filtering. Finally, the two regions are merged together to get the haze removal result. Our algorithm achieves a clear and natural haze-free image, and has a faster processing speed. Meanwhile, it is universal and real-time in practical application.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117169005","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently the popular way is to do classification by treating attributes as labels. In addition, ensemble classifications are used to future improve classification quality. However, the base classifier of traditional ensemble classification is trained by using random sampling, which cannot guarantee a constantly good classification performance. This paper proposes a supervised clustering of ensemble classification approach to tag micro-blog users with age and gender attributes. The proposed approach is to divide the training data with a same label into multiple clusters and then combine different clusters from training data with different labels into training data subsets. Each subset is used to train a base classifier. Experimental results show that the proposed approach can improve the gender and age classification accuracy classification by 1.79 % and 0.67 % respectively, compared with the traditional ensemble classification approach.","PeriodicalId":190867,"journal":{"name":"2019 6th International Conference on Behavioral, Economic and Socio-Cultural Computing (BESC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127765431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
