The study investigated the impact of autoimmune diseases on IVF treatment outcomes. Single embryo transfer (ET) was performed on the fifth day in all patients. Autoimmune diseases included in this study as Hashimoto's disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Ulcerative Colitis, and Behcet's disease.\u0000Results: There was no statistically significant association between the case and control groups regarding live birth rate (p>0.05). Similarly, no statistically significant association was found between the case and control groups concerning the clinical pregnancy rate (p>0.05). Our results revealed that total oocyte, pronuclear (PN), and metaphase II (MII) oocyte rates were statistically significantly higher in healthy infertile women (p<0.05). The number of attempts, anti mullerian (AMH) levels, total gonadotropin dose, and total days were similar between the groups (p>0.05).\u0000Conclusion: Autoimmune diseases do not significantly affect pregnancy outcomes in women undergoing IVF. In our study, we aimed to reveal the difference in 25-OH vitamin D levels between the patient group diagnosed with atopic dermatitis and the control group.\u0000Methods: It was carried out at the Pediatric Allergy Polyclinic of Balıkesir University Faculty of Medicine Hospital between 2018-2021. A control group consisting of 220 patients between the ages of 0-17 who were diagnosed with atopic dermatitis and who applied to the Pediatric Allergy outpatient clinic and 220 patients who were not diagnosed with atopic dermatitis were included. The diagnosis of atopic dermatitis was made using the Hanifin-Rajka criteria. Disease activity was measured by the scorad index.\u0000Results: 25-OH vitamin D level and eosinophilia value in peripheral blood were found to be statistically significant between the patient and control groups. No significant difference was found between the patient and control groups in terms of parental age, parental education level, living place, weight, height, and body mass index (BMI) .\u0000Conclusion: 25-OH vitamin D levels were found to be lower and eosinophil levels were higher in patients with atopic dermatitis . No significant difference was found in terms of total IgE ( kU /L) level. More extensive studies are needed to determine how 25-OH vitamin D (ng/dl) level affects atopic dermatitis.

Due to its significant impact on survival rates, recurrence rates, as well as treatment and post-treatment approaches, identifying and studying prognostic factors is of great importance. This article aims to review the prognostic parameters established for endometrial carcinoma and investigate the studies and findings related to these parameters.\u0000Methods: The study included 50 patients who underwent surgery for endometrial carcinoma at our clinic between January 1999 and May 2001. Investigations and results related to prognostic factors in endometrial carcinoma were examined in these patients.\u0000Results: The average age of the patients was found to be 56.72 ± 8.02 years. %70 of the patients were in Stage 1, 6% were in Stage 2, 22% were in Stage 3, and the remaining 2% were in Stage 4. Peritoneal cytology was positive in 5 out of 41 patients in whom peritoneal cytology was examined (12.2%). Among the 49 patients evaluated for myometrial invasion, 11 had tumor confined to the endometrium without myometrial invasion. In 16 patients, there was 1/3 inner myometrial invasion, 15 patients had 1/3 middle myometrial invasion, and 7 patients had 1/3 outer myometrial invasion. When we compared grade and depth of myometrial invasion in the cases examined, it was observed that out of 17 patients with Grade 1 tumors, 1 had deep myometrial invasion (½ outside), while out of 22 patients with Grade 2 tumors, 8 had deep myometrial invasion, and out of 4 patients with Grade 3 tumors, 3 had deep myometrial invasion.\u0000Conclusion: The results of the examination of prognostic parameters, including age, histological grade, myometrial invasion, peritoneal cytology, histological type, adnexal spread, and tumor size, in the studied patient group were consistent with previous research in this field.

The cases were analyzed in 4 groups as followed; instrumental removal, hysteroscopic (H/S), laparoscopic (L/S), and laparotomic (LPT) procedure. The groups were compared in age, obstetric history, IUD insertion time, and intraoperative outcomes.\u0000Results: There were a total of 39 cases and the groups consisted of instrumental removal (n=8), H/S (n=24), L/S (n=6), and LPT (n=1) procedure. In the H/S group, mean age (44 ±10) and duration of IUD use (10.1 ±7.5 years) were found to be significantly higher than the other groups (p=0.03 and p=0.001 ). Six cases (25%) in the H/S group IUD was in the uterine cavity while in 5 (20.8%) it was embedded in the endometrium and myometrium. In the L/S group, the duration of IUD use was shorter (1.3 ± 0.8 years) and the mean age (29±10) was lower and all cases were managed laparoscopically except in one case that was extracted after conversion to laparotomy. \u0000Conclusion: Advanced age and prolonged IUD use are risk factors for embedded of the IUD in the uterine cavity in the hysteroscopy group, however, IUDs that reach the abdomen by ruptured uterus are detected at younger ages and earlier in IUD use, and minimally invasive methods are eligible surgical procedures for these cases.

Infertility is a complicated complaint prevalent among women of reproductive age with severe financial and social\u0000consequences. HSG, adopted for evaluating infertility, can be considered a secondary imaging technique in practice following ultrasound examination. The present study attempted to explore the HSG results of patients applying to our hospital with the complaint of infertility in the last two years and to compare these results with their pregnancy.\u0000Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the HSG results of the patients applying to or referred to our hospital from an\u0000external center between 10.01.2018 and 30.08.2020 with the complaint of infertility.260 patients were included in the study.\u0000The patients were grouped by their primary and secondary infertility. We analyzed anomalies detected by HSG in two groups: uterine and tubal anomalies. Moreover, those becoming pregnant following HSG until June 2022 were grouped by reproductive techniques (spontaneous or assisted). Patients not having optimal imaging, with HSG reports obtained at an external center, and with insignificant results were excluded from the study.\u0000Results: The patients’ mean age was calculated to be 36 years (21-52 years). While 144 patients (55%) were diagnosed with\u0000primary infertility, 116 (45%) had a diagnosis with secondary infertility. There was no uterine or tubal anomaly in 157 patients undergoing HSG, but we discovered only a uterine defect in 28 of 103 patients and a tubal defect including at least one uterine and comorbid tuba in 44 patients. In 45 patients with a uterine anomaly, the most prevalent HSG findings were uterine filling defect (28 patients, 62.2%) and arcuate uterus (10 patients, 22.2%). We also discovered that 81 patients became pregnant at least once after HSG. While 50 of them got pregnant spontaneously, the remaining benefitted from assisted reproductive techniques. Our findings showed spontaneous pregnancy not to be associated with primary or secondary infertility (p=0.394; OR=0.765; 95% CI: 0.412-1.42). There was also no relationship between primary and secondary infertility and abnormal HSG findings (p=0.437; OR=0.820; 95% CI: 0.498-1.35). Finally, we concluded that abnormal HSG findings did not significantly contribute to the rate of spontaneous pregnancy (p=0.701; OR=1.13; 95% CI: 0.604-2.11).\u0000Conclusion: We concluded that abnormal HSG findings did not contribute to the rates of spontaneous pregnancy.
