The enemy – the virus – is invisible but the worst and more aggressive threat to the Human Being. There is no medicine or treatments against the COVID-19 and there are no real expectations to find it in the near future. The world numbers of the Human Beings death and infected by the SARS-COV are serious and obliged a never known full world stop. The Humans were mostly afraid and impotent to fight with this dangerous virus; the politicians mostly connected to combat the immediately Public Health and try to answer the needs of the millions affected, directly or indirectly; the economies full stopped, crashing; the companies and institutions – private and public – without conditions to combat and break their immediately needs. The world faced one of the most serious and difficult challenge in the Contemporary History, and it is being designed a New World Order. We sought to determine whether the motivation and usage of a learning-management system (LMS) combined with learning elements in mobile applications and the active support of instructor increases motivation, willingness to learn, learning benefit, and satisfaction in ethics learning units. The approach of this study is quantitative, transversal, and not experimental and used a sample (N = 227) of international business, administration, and public accounting undergraduate students. The self-reported data from students were obtained from anonymous questionnaire surveys. It is a pilot study and the sample presented is relatively small, which limits the applicability of the findings. However, this article is intended to emphasize that social business has a greater advantage over traditional business organizations as it is an opportunity to solve social problems that are relevant to society in an entrepreneurial way and to demonstrate the benefits to a society. Training of social business specialists is not yet being widely implemented in Southern Lithuania, hence benefits of it are being discussed in the article for further possible actions to take. The current pandemic has exacerbated the stress on all school personnel and the emotional impact can impact health and work performance. While research has examined workplace related emotions for years, the growth of the concept of emotional intelligence spurred greater interest on the impact of emotions on employee and leader performance. But few studies have specifically considered the impact of emotions on leaders given the roles and duties they perform (Ginsberg & Davies, 2007; Ginsberg and Multon, 2011a: Ginsberg & Multon, 2011b). While leadership studies suggest differing styles and approaches depending on circumstances, climate and conditions, research has not considered the kind of leadership approaches relevant for leaders impacted by the emotions they deal with daily, their emotionally-laden reality. This study examines the research on emotions, emotional intelligence, and the work-related tasks in schools that spark emotional reactions. Then, following a discussion of leadership studies on emotional intelligence, transformational leadership, resiliency and related concepts, complexity leadership, crisis and cutback management, and several recent leadership approaches related to improving performance, a framework is offered for becoming an emotionally adaptable leader. Silva, João Silva","doi":"10.25233/ijlel.803552","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25233/ijlel.803552","url":null,"abstract":"The sudden need for an adaptation of two science projects based on the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to the education system in Portugal, transitioning from classroom learning to distance learning, led to a reorganization within the structure of these projects in order to implement them, maintaining the same objectives. Both projects have the main goal to develop computational thinking, with the first project having simultaneously the aim to also develop an environmental awareness through an initiation to programming by way of implementing challenges regarding the same topic, within 1st grade pupils, namely recycling and reducing single use waste, based on a mix method research.
