The research was conducted with a phenomenological design. The study group of the research consists of 25 public school administrators working in Istanbul province in Turkey. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, and the data were analyzed with content analysis method. The research results revealed that public school administrators experience competition as a situation that harms public education in general. School administrators have an opinion that conditions of competition are not equal, and inflated grades in private schools lead to an advantage to private school students. Based on the results of the research, it is recommended that public education should be supported more as it is a basic human right.","PeriodicalId":189726,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on Lifelong Education and Leadership","volume":"1 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141355994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The voices of professional voice actors, who are considered just like an athlete, should be strong, flexible and durable against long-term use. Also called vocal athletes, voice performers need processes such as muscle and skill development, voice warm up and cool down as in the applications expressed as periodization in sports medicine. Vocal training should aim to prepare the student for the stage not only with its artistic aspect but also with its sportive aspect. In the vocal training process, it is important to raise the awareness of the students from the very beginning of the education and to make the sportive discipline a behavior in the name of sustainable professional vocal use. It is unacceptable for a professional athlete to do some warm-up and cool-down movements with random movements or ignorance. The same is true for seeking vocal exercises for the singer. Exercise programs structured on a physiological basis both give predictable results, and the singer knows what to do and can ensure the performance. The most important components of the conscious training program that creates vocal periodization are vocal warming-up and cooling-down. Contrary to vocal warm-up exercises, studies on vocal cool-down are not sufficient both in the literature and in vocal training. It is an important necessity to apply vocal cool-down exercises in the same routine for the tissue recovery and to return to the speaking tone after the performance and to achieve tissue recovery under appropriate conditions. Vocal cool-down exercises are basically based on stretching and slowing down. In addition to metabolic effects such as blood flow changes, decreasing the muscle tonus, and removal of metabolites from the tissue; physiological effects such as providing a comfortable low larynx position and relaxation are targeted. Vocal cool-down techniques include semi-occluded vocal tract exercises, descending arpeggios, formant maneuvers, yawn&sigh, and chewing approach. In this study, the literature on vocal cool-down exercises has been reviewed, and ideal cool-down conditions and exercises have been presented in parallel with sports physiology. The population of the research consisted of 285 teachers employed in Bolu province central district high schools in the 2020-2021 academic year. Work Values Scale, Employee Performance Scale and Ethical Climate Scale were used as data collection tools in this study conducted with the survey model. Standard deviation, mean and Pearson Correlation analysis were performed as data analysis. According to the findings, teachers selected “Agree” regarding work values, employee performance and ethical climate. Significant moderate positive relationships were found between Employee Performance Scale and Work Values Scale and its sub-dimensions, between Ethical Climate Scale and Work Values Scale and its sub-dimensions, and between Employee Performance scale and Ethical Climate Scale. Based on the research results, it can be suggested to enrich the educational settings where teachers can implement work values with determination in line with the principles they have adopted. For this purpose, administrators’ rewarding teacher behaviors related to work values by emphasizing their contribution to their professional performance in board meetings and in the teachers' room will increase the frequency of these behaviors at the school and teachers’ level of awareness about these issues will improve. It can also be suggested to include courses during internships and in-service trainings to increase teachers' sensitivity to the ethical climate created in the school.","PeriodicalId":189726,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on Lifelong Education and Leadership","volume":"132 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139146416","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Accordingly, the aim of the survey is to examine the relationship between burnout, commitment to school and the job performance of school administrators. 320 school administrators working in public schools in Turkey participated in the research. In the research, causal comparative design and correlational survey model, which are among the quantitative research methods, were used. The data of the study were collected using the \"Burnout Measure\", \"Organizational Commitment Scale\" and \"Job Performance Scale\". Descriptive and evidential statistics techniques were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that especially the job performances were at a very high level according to the perceptions of school administrators. School administrators' level of burnout was found to be low despite their medium level of commitment to school. A negative and very weak correlation was found between school administrators' burnout and their organizational commitment. When analyzed in terms of demographic variables, the job performance of the principals was higher than that of the assistant principals. Burnout of assistant principals was found to be higher than that of principals. In addition, it was revealed that female school administrators' burnout was higher than that of male school administrators. Demographic variables did not make a significant difference on the organizational commitment of school administrators. In the study, it was also founded that the burnout of school administrators and the continuance commitment dimension of their organizational commitment to their schools are significant predictors of their job performance. Recommendations were made in the light of relevant findings and literature.","PeriodicalId":189726,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on Lifelong Education and Leadership","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126719478","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It can be defined as the students’ ability to make value judgments about their own academic performance, based on sound logical and psychological arguments. The development of students' self-assessment skills is supported by a number of socio-psychological factors such as: perceived self-efficacy, relevant individuals’ opinions - teachers, parents, etc. as well as by certain pedagogical factors such as: the teacher's didactic style, teaching/learning strategies, type(s) of assessment used, particulars of the information/content taught, etc. The aim of this research was to assess students’ awareness of the importance of training self-assessment skills for their ongoing professional and personal development. The research sample was made up of 336 students from 4 different faculties of the University of Oradea, Romania. They were grouped in 3 series according to their academic year of study (2019-2022). Students were asked to self-assess their own academic performance in a university subject included in the Psycho-pedagogy and Methodology Training Program. The results showed that most respondents tend to underestimate themselves, this depending, among other things, on the quality of their academic preparation or on the way exams are carried out.","PeriodicalId":189726,"journal":{"name":"International Journal on Lifelong Education and Leadership","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131281659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study used a scanning model and was quantitatively conducted. Data from 324 preschool teachers were gathered using a convenience sampling technique. Preschool teachers have medium levels of creativity in terms of academic creativity, artistic creativity, and artistic performance. They were discovered to have a high level of creativity in the originality area but a low level in the scientific/mechanical area. In preschool teachers' ratings of creativity, boys considerably outperformed girls on the dimension of scientific/mechanical inventiveness. In the area of artistic performance, creativity perceptions revealed a strong and significant difference in favor of women. Whether they were young, middle-aged, or old, teachers' assessments of creativity had comparable traits. \u0000There was a difference between preschool teachers with less seniority and those with more seniority when the artistic performance dimension of their judgments of creativity was explored, favoring those with less seniority. A difference was observed among the participants with 1–10 years of seniority and those with 11–20 years in terms of artistic inventiveness, favoring those with less seniority. When the preschool teachers' opinions of their own creativity were matched to their educational backgrounds, it was found that the graduate-degree holding teachers had greater perceptions of academic, scientific/mechanical, originality, and general creativity than the undergraduate teachers. NFT technology will also affect Lifelong Education. The study aimed to develop a scale of 25 items to measure how NFTs create a perception among teachers, providing a new understanding of art. For this purpose of the study, data were collected from 310 teachers (135 teacher samples for exploration and 175 teacher samples for confirmatory factor analysis) teaching in various cities of Turkey. The principal component analysis of the varimax rotation was used to obtain evidence for the scale’s validity. As a result of exploratory factor analyzes, three items were excluded from the survey because their item loads were coincident, and as a result, the scale was reduced to 22 items, and three sub-dimensions emerged. It has been determined that the scale has a structure composed of three factors: “NFT’s contribution to art and artists,” “NFT’s positive contribution to art,” and “NFT’s negative contribution to art.” It was observed that the item test correlation of the scale changed between 0.44-0.88. At the same time, cross-validation analysis was performed to determine whether the scale would produce the same results. When it was applied to similar groups as a result of cross-validation, it was observed that the same result could be obtained when the scale was applied to the same group.
