Angular spectra of plane phase diffraction gratings of different relief are investigated under illuminating them by interference field and under its transverse shifting relative to grating. This approach increases the number of control parameters for formation of optical field at the output of the optical arrangement.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122733459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The relative concentration X=COC(COC + 5CB) was varied within 0.0-1.0, the concentration C of NTs was varied within 0.01-1% wt. The value of X affected agglomeration and stability of NTs inside COC+5CB mixtures. High-quality dispersion, exfoliation, and stabilization of the NTs were observed in COC solvent (“good” solvent). From the other side, the aggregation of NTs was very pronounced in nematic 5CB solvent (“bad” solvent). The dispersing quality of solvent influenced the percolation concentration, corresponding to transition between the low conductive and high conductive states. Moreover, external electric field influenced the structure of dissipative micro-patterns and orientation of NTs in dependence of the value of X. The mixtures of COC and 5CB were found to be promising for application as functional media with controllable useful chiral and electrophysical properties.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128339517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As it is well known, under certain conditions the optical bistability (OB) takes place due to a nonlinear absorption of the optical energy, for example. We investigate the 2D wave process, occurring in such conditions and appearing because of instability of one from the bistable element states. Due to laser pulse propagating and electrons diffusion, the instability of the states of the optical radiation-semiconductor system causes the 2D wave propagation of free-electrons and ionized donors in semiconductor. This process can essentially change properties of the bistable element.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114734537","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
