The cavity of the device is shared between the laser's optical field (the pump of the OPO) and the signal radiation emitted by the OPO. The length of the cavity doesn't exceed 10 mm that should hopefully favor for a single mode operational regime without any frequency selective elements (e.g. Fabry-Perot etalons). By estimation, the idler wavelength could be tuned over a few percents in the mid-infrared range (~ 17 μm) as the primary pump power is changed.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123866913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through adjusting the PCF structure parameters, the mode properties can be controlled to meet the actual needs. The single mode cutoff in the triangular or square lattice large mode area PCFs is analyzed. The single mode cutoff frequency is obtained, and the V parameter and the normalized cutoff frequency V* are redefined. The result shows that, by increasing the number of the missing central air holes, V* is more and more close to 2.405 for triangular lattice PCF, and π/2 for square lattice PCF.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134549611","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using such interaction one can control the propagation dynamics of the signal pulse via the modulation of the intensity of the pump pulse.","PeriodicalId":189618,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Advanced Optoelectronics and Lasers (CAOL 2013)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115484125","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
