A general model of complex networks with multi-links is formulated, which can well describe practical architectures of more realistic complex networks related to multi-links. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and adaptive control techniques, some simple controllers with updated feedback strength are introduced to make the network locally and globally synchronized. Furthermore, the effectiveness of theoretical results are verified by numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":189187,"journal":{"name":"Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133813444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, we propose an improved fuzzy k-means clustering based on k-center algorithm and binary tree in this paper, which firstly reduces redundant attributes while too many irrespective attributes affect the efficiency of clustering. Secondly, we remove the differences of units of dimensions, and then adopt k-center clustering to initialize k means of clusters, which means that we choose first mean randomly and others obtained according to distance subsequently. The binary tree is composed of k means in order to find its closest mean easily. Finally, the proposed algorithm is applied on Iris dataset, Pima-Indians-Diabetes dataset and Segmentation dataset, and results show that the proposed algorithm has higher efficiency and greater precision, and reduces the amount of calculation.","PeriodicalId":189187,"journal":{"name":"Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129390302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a novel Discriminant Support Vector Data Description (DSVDD). The proposed DSVDD adopts the relevant metric learning instead of the original Euclidean distance metric learning in SVDD, where the relevant metric learning can consider the relationship between data. Here through incorporating both the positive and negative equivalence information, the presented DSVDD assigns large weights to the relevant features and tightens the similar data. More importantly, we introduce the discriminant knowledge prior into the proposed algorithm due to considering the negative equivalence information. The experiments show that the proposed DSVDD can bring more accurate classification performance than the conventional SVDD for all the tested data.","PeriodicalId":189187,"journal":{"name":"Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127246601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The idea is to adaptively engage infeasible solutions as well in searching for better solutions. This is achieved by assigning fitness to the infeasible solutions by balancing corresponding objective function values against constraint violations. Dealing with the constrained network coding problems in an unconstrained manner, SA-ENCA does not suffer from the drawbacks of existing approaches. In other words, it is able to effectively cope with selection noise and automatically discover a feasible seed in the course of evolution. Empirical study has adduced grounds for the effectiveness of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":189187,"journal":{"name":"Third International Workshop on Advanced Computational Intelligence","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131649789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
