Objectives:  The purpose of this study is to determine the perception of the use of web characters based on gender differences. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. Participants were eighth grade students of SMPN 6 Batanghari with a sample of 140 students. The data collection technique used a student perception questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the form of t-test. Findings: The results of the study found that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) female students in grades A and B were 0.031 and 0.020 while the value of Sig. (2-tailed) male students in grades A and B are 0.033 and 0.021. Female students reported to have better perceptions than male students. Conclusion: Students have varied perceptions about web-based character assessment and female students’ perception is better than others. Keywords: Perceptions, web-based assessment, character, gender. Abstrak: Persepsi Siswa dalam Penggunaan Penilaian Karakter Berbasis Web dari Perspektif Gender. Tujuan: tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa pada penggunaan penilaian karakter berbasis web yang dianalisis berdasarkan perbedaan gender. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Partisipan merupakan siswa kelas delapan SMPN 6 Batanghari dengan sampel sebanyak 140 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner persepsi siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial berupa uji-t.  Temuan: Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) siswa perempuan di kelas A dan B sebesar 0.031 dan 0.020 sedangkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) siswa laki-laki di kelas A dan B sebesar 0.033 dan 0.021. Siswa perempuan dilaporkan memiliki persepsi yang lebih baik daripada siswa laki-laki. Kesimpulan: Siswa memiliki persepsi yang bervariasi tentang penilaian karakter berbasis web dan persepsi siswa perempuan lebih baik daripada yang lain. Objective: This research aims to describe the development of explosion box as learning media to deal with bored student in science learning to use textbooks. Method: Development of learning media in this study is implementing the Borg & Gall. Field test were conducted on 5th grade elementary school students in Blitar, Indonesia. Finding: The results showed that the Explosion Box as learning media was valid category with a material expert validation: 93.3%; design expert validation: 90%; expert validation: 90%. Results of trials: small group is 95.4% and large group is 94.4%. Data pre-test and post-test results: before using product is 70.3 and after using product is 85.9. Conclusion: Expert validation and student response questionnaires revealed that Explosion Box as learning media was very interesting and useful so that students do not get bored in the learning process. Keywords: Elementary school student, Explosion Box, learning media. Abstrak: Media Pembelajaran Explosion Box Materi Komponen Ekosistem untuk Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang pengembangan media pembelajaran Explosion Box untuk menjawab kebosanan siswa dalam belajar menggunakan textbooks. Metode: Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mengacu pada jenis pengembangan menurut Borg & Gall. Uji coba lapangan dilakukan pada siswa kelas 5 SD di Blitar, Indonesia. Temuan: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran Explosion Box dinyatakan valid, dengan validasi ahli materi: 93,3%, ahli desain: 90%, ahli pembelajaran: 93,3%. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan kelompok kecil: 95,4% dan kelompok besar: 94,4%. Data hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebelum menggunakan produk sebesar 70,3 dan setelah menggunakan produk sebesar 85,9. Kesimpulan: Validasi ahli dan respon siswa menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran Explosion Box sangat menarik dan membantu siswa tidak bosan dalam proses pembelajaran. Objecticves: This study aims to identify the effect of compensation and psychological well-being on work engagement for private elementary school teachers during the pandemic. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The data retrieval technique used a Instrument developed from the utrech work engagement scale, a ryff psychological well-being scale and a compensation scale. Sample selection was done by using purposive cluster sampling technique. Research sampel is 408 teachers of private elementary schools in Karawang Regency. Findings: The results of this study confirm that: (1) Compensation had a significant effect on teachers work engagement, (2) Psychological well-being had a significant effect on teachers work engagement, and (3) Compensation and psychological well-being simultaneously affected teachers work engagement by 50.6%. Conclusions: It is concluded that work engagement is influenced by compensation and psychological well-being. Therefore, these two variables need to be considered in increasing teacher work engagement. Keywords: psychological well-being, compensation, work engagement. Abstrak: Meningkatkan Keterlibatan Kerja Guru Melalui Kepuasan Kompensasi dan Kesejahteraan Psikologis. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kompensasi dan kesejahteraan psikologis terhadap keterlibatan kerja guru di masa pandemi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Instrumen dikembangkan dari utrech work engagement scale, ryff psychological well-being scale dan skala kompensasi. Pemilihan sample dilakukan dengan teknik purposive cluster sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 408 guru SD swasta di Kabupaten Karawang. Temuan: Hasil penelitian ini mengkonfirmasi bahwa: (1) kompensasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterlibatan kerja guru, (2) kesejahteraan psikologis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterlibatan kerja guru, dan (3) kompensasi dan kesejahteraan psikologis secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan kerja guru sebesar 50.6%. Kesimpulan: Disimpulkan bahwa keterlibatan kerja dipengaruhi oleh kompensasi dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Karenanya, kedua variabel tersebut perlu diperhatikan dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan kerja guru. Kata kunci: kesejahteraan psikologis, kompensasi, keterlibatan kerja. Objective: This research aims to determine the effect of blended learning implementation in Indonesia between 2016-2020. Methods: This is a meta-analysis study and 27 articles met the criteria analyzed by Revman 5.4. This study reported effect size of blended learning on learning outcomes consisting of subgroups of education levels (elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, vocational education, and college) and subgroups of learning outcomes (knowledge, thinking ability, and attitude). Findings: The theoretical effect size score of Standard Mean Difference or SMD = 1.01 (95% CI [0.802– 1.20). P < 0.00001) for blended learning compared to conventional. Subgroup analysis obtained a high category effect size for Blended Learning’s application according to the level of education and learning achievement. Except for the effect size for attitudes belongs to the moderate category. Conclusion: This study concluded that Blended Learning positively affects knowledge mastery, thinking ability, motivation, and learning independence at all levels of education. Keywords: blended learning, learning outcomes, education level. Abstrak: Pengaruh Blended Learning Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa: Suatu Meta Analisis. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan blended learning di Indonesia antara tahun 2016–2020. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian meta-analisis dan 27 artikel telah memenuhi kriteria setelah dianalisis dengan menggunakan Revman 5.4. Dalam penelitian ini dilaporkan effect size dari blended learning terhadap hasil belajar yang terdiri atas subgroup jenjang pendidikan (SD, SMP, SMA, SMK dan Perguruan tinggi) dan subgroup hasil belajar (pengetahuan, kemampuan berpikir, dan sikap). Temuan: Skor effect size teoritik standar mean difference atau SMD = 1.01 (95% CI [0.802– 1.20). P < 0.00001) untuk blended learning dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis subgrup diperoleh informasi bahwa effect size berkategori tinggi untuk penerapan blended learning sesuai jenjang pendidikan dan hasil belajar. Kecuali effect size untuk sikap masuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Blended Learning memberi pengaruh positif terhadap penguasaan pengetahuah. kemampuan berpikir. motivasi dan kemandirian belajar di semua jenjang pendidikan. Methods: This research uses quantitative methods with associative and comparative research types. Findings: the results of the T test with a value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 and the results of the correlation test between attitudes and students’ interests in science subjects with fermented material obtained the results of the correlation test with the value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05. Conclusion: Based on the t-test there are differences in students’ attitudes and interests towards science subjects with fermentation material at SMPN 8 Batanghari and MTsN Batanghari 6. and MTsN 6 Batanghari. Keywords: attitude, interest, fermentation, Biology, Science. Abstrak: Analisis Perbandingan Sikap dan Minat Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran IPA. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan sikap dan minat serta hubungan antara sikap dan minat siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi fermentasi. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif dan komparatif. Temuan: didapatkan hasil uji T dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 dan didapatkan hasil uji korelasi antara sikap dan minat siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi fermentasi diperoleh hasil uji korelasi dengan nilai sig.(2-tailed) < 0,05. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan uji-t terdapat perbedaan sikap dan minat siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi fermentasi di SMPN 8 Batanghari dan MTsN Batanghari 6. Berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi terdapat hubungan antara sikap dan minat siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi fermentasi di SMPN 8 Batangha ri dan MTsN 6 Batanghari. Objectives: This study investigates whether there are significant differences between students who are taught using the vlog project and picture series techniques. Methods: Quasi-Experimental method was used to collect information through two groups as experimental, and one control group, the number of samples is 58 students. The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA test and continued with the Scheffe test. Findings:  The findings in this study reveal that the use of the vlog project technique is, to some extent, more effective than the use of picture series and conventional techniques. It is evidenced by the value of the mean difference in the Scheffe test, which is positive for the other two groups, namely 2.70760 and 5.46316. Conclusion: vlog project technique significantly affects the teaching-learning process of speaking in the eighth grade, especially for recount text. Keywords: teaching techniques, speaking skills, vlog projects, picture series. Abstrak: Vlog Project & Picture Series: Menguji Teknik yang Efektif dalam Mengajar Keterampilan Berbicara. Tujuan: Penelitian ini menyelidiki apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan teknik vlog project dan picture series. Metode: Metode Quasi-Experimental digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dalam penelitian ini melalui dua kelompok sebagai eksperimen dan satu grup kontrol, total siswa sebagai sample adalah 58. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA test dan dilanjutkan dengan Scheffe test. Temuan: Penemuan dalam penelitian ini mengungkap bahwa penggunaan teknik vlog project, sampai padabatas tertentu, lebih efektif daripada penggunaan teknik picture series maupun teknik konvensional. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai mean difference pada scheffe test bernilai positif terhadap kedua kelompok lainnya,yakni 2.70760 dan 5.46316. Kesimpulan: Teknik vlog project secara signifikan mempengaruhi proses belajar mengajar berbicara di kelas delapan, terutama untuk teks recount. Kata kunci: teknik mengajar, keterampilan berbicara, vlog project, picture series. Keywords: evaluation, attitude, science process skills. Abstrak: Evaluasi Sikap dan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa terhadap Mata Pelajaran IPA Sekolah Mengah di Indonesia. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan hubungan antara sikap dan keterampilan proses sains dalam pembelajaran IPA di Kabupaten Batanghari yaitu SMP 34 Batanghari dan SMP 35 Batanghari. Metode: Metode kuantitatif dengan tipe asosiatif dan komparatif. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket untuk sikap dan lembar observasi untuk keterampilan proses sains. Teknik analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan random sampling dengan responden sebanyak 140 siswa. Temuan: Berdasarkan uji-t diperoleh sig.(2-tailed) 0,048, 0,047, 0,039, 0,038 < 0,05 yang mengindikasikan suatu antara hubungan sikap dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Dari uji korelasi diperoleh sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,035 dan 0,037 < 0,05, ada hubungan antara sikap dengan keterampilan proses sains. Objectives: This study described the senior high school students’ difficulties while learning historical recount text in English class and analyzed the causes of their difficulties. Methods: This study used a test, a questionnaire, and an interview. Findings: This study showed that 67% of students considered historical recount text as difficult materials. Students’ average score was 52.94 or below the minimum criteria of mastery learning. 23.5% of students passed the minimum criteria, while 76.5% of students did not pass it. Students’ difficulties in the “high” level of difficulty were about the social function, text structure, and main idea. Meanwhile, grammar features and arranging text had a “moderate” level of difficulty. The causes of these difficulties were the lack of vocabulary mastery, the lack of understanding about the concept of recount text, and the lack of grammar understanding. Conclusion: Students face difficulties in reading historical recount text materials due to the lack of English vocabulary mastery, grammar, and text concept. Keywords: English, reading, historical recount text, learning difficulties, senior high school. Abstrak: Analisis Kesulitan Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas dalam Belajar Teks Cerita Sejarah. Tujuan: Studi ini mendeskripsikan kesulitan-kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh siswa sekolah menengah atas saat belajar teks cerita sejarah di kelas Bahasa Inggris dan menganalisis penyebab dari kesulitan-kesulitan tersebut. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan tes, kuesioner, dan interview. Temuan: Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa 67% siswa menganggap teks cerita sejarah sebagai materi yang sulit. Nilai rata-rata siswa adalah 52,94 atau di bawah nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. 23,5% siswa mencapai kriteria minimal, sedangkan 76,5% siswa tidak mencapainya. Kesulitan siswa yang berada di level “sulit” meliputi fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan ide utama. Di sisi lain, fitur bahasa dan penyusunan teks memiliki level kesulitan “sedang”. Penyebab dari kesulitan ini antara lain karena kurangnya penguasaan kosakata, konsep tentang teks cerita, dan pemahaman tata bahasa. Kesimpulan: Siswa menghadapi kesulitan dalam keterampilan membaca pada materi teks cerita sejarah karena penguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris, tata bahasa, dan konsep teks yang kurang. Objective: This research aims at testing the effects of Inquiry-based Learning Approach (I-bLA) on Resolving the Issues of the EFL Students’ Writing Skills and Content Originality. Method: The one Group Pre-test and Post-test experimental research design was used to test the effects of I-bLA. Findings: The result of paired sample test explicates that the sig. 2-tailed value is 0.000 designating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. Furthermore, the I-bLA significantly decreases the similarity index by 80% meaning that the content originality of the students’ essays does not match against the original sources. Conclusion: the use of I-bLA can significantly resolve the issues of the EFL students’ Writing Skills and Content Originality. Keywords: I-bLA, writing skills, content originality. Abstrak: Efek I-bLA terhadap Penyelesaian Masalah Keterampilan Menulis dan Orisinalitas Konten Mahasiswa Jurusan Bahasa Inggris. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Pendekatan Pembelajaran berbasis Inkuiri (I-bLA) terhadap penyelesaian masalah Keterampilan Menulis dan Orisinalitas Konten Mahasiswa EFL. Metode: Desain penelitian eksperimen One Group Pre-test dan Post-test digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh I-bLA. Temuan: Hasil uji sampel berpasangan menjelaskan bahwa nilai sig. 2-tailed adalah 0,000 yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara pre-test dan pos-test. Selanjutnya, I-bLA secara signifikan menurunkan indeks kesamaan sebesar 80% yang berarti orisinalitas isi karangan mahasiswa tidak sesuai dengan sumber aslinya. Kesimpulan: penggunaan I-bLA secara signifikan dapat mengatasi masalah Keterampilan Menulis dan Orisinalitas Konten mahasiswa EFL. Kata kunci: I-bLA, keahlian menulis, orisinalitas konten. Objectives: This study aims to test the determination of teacher and classmate support for students’ social self-esteem. Methods: The participants were 94 junior high school students grade 7 (M = 12.7660; SD = 0.53733). We collected the data using The Teacher and Classmate Support Scale and Social Self-Esteem Inventory. Data were analyzed descriptively and the t-test. Findings: The results of teacher and classmate support and students’ social self-esteem variables show positive results, as well as proving that teacher and classmate support affects students’ social self-esteem during physical education learning activities. Conclusion: The presence of teachers in the learning class is necessary to provide social, emotional, and cognitive support to students so that they become more confident in performing their abilities and also feel comfortable with every performance they produce in some learning experiences and expressive learning cultures. Keywords: social support, teacher support, classmate support, students’ social self-esteem. Abstrak: Optimalisasi Dukungan Sosial dalam Pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani untuk Menguatkan Harga Diri Sosial Siswa. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji determinasi dukungan guru dan sejawat terhadap harga diri sosial siswa. Metode: Partisipan sebanyak 94 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama kelas 7 (M = 12,7660; SD = 0,53733). Kami mengumpulkan menggunakan The Teacher and Classmate Support Scale dan Social Self-Esteem Inventory. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan uji t. Temuan: Hasil variabel dukungan guru dan sejawat dan harga diri sosial siswa menunjukkan hasil yang baik, sekaligus membuktikkan bahwa dukungan guru dan sejawat mempengaruhi harga diri sosial siswa selama aktivitas belajar pendidikan jasmani. Kesimpulan: Penting untuk guru hadir dalam kelas belajar untuk memberikan dukungan sosial, emosional, maupun kognitif kepada siswa agar mereka lebih percaya terhadap kemampuan mereka sekaligus merasa nyaman atas setiap performa yang mereka hasilkan melalui pengalaman belajar tertentu dan kultur belajar yang ekspresif.
