The control systems are assumed to be transformable into an interconnection of input-to-state stable (ISS) subsystems with the sampling errors as the inputs. For the subsystems, the events of data sampling are triggered by appropriately choosing threshold signals, which are independent with each other for the decentralized implementation. Through an ISS small-gain design, infinitely fast sampling can be avoided for each subsystem and asymptotic regulation is achievable for the large-scale system.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"160 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126607033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the mathematical model of single-phase energy storage inverter is analyzed, and its inverse model is established using BP neural network. Combined with a single loop PI controller, two different control methods are proposed based on the inverse model. One method is to take the output of the neural network inverse model as a feed forward, and superimpose it to the output of a single loop PI controller; another method is to cascade the neural network inverse model and its original model to form a pseudo linear system, and then adopt PI controller to perform single loop control. Simulation results show that, comparing with simple single loop PI controller, the two control methods proposed in this paper could effectively improve the dynamic response speed of the inverter output voltage and reduce the harmonic content.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115025662","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, we describe an experiment focusing on the consistency of slip detection of a prosthetic hand equipped with a force sensing resistor (FSR) which can capture force variations during the slip of grasped object. A method for detecting the slip of a grasped object using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) of the high frequency signal output of FSR was proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed method was confirmed in tests of slip detection during grasping. Moreover, the test results indicated that the hardness and mass of the object and disturbing force have very limited impact on the slipping patterns. Finally, a simple model was proposed to obtain the decline value of grasping force by using the results from DWT. This model can also be used as a method for slip detection.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115555649","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unlike the traditional wearable orientation estimation methods, our proposed approach combines both of these two modalities in a novel pattern. Firstly, two visual correspondences between consecutive frames are selected that not only meet the requirement of descriptor similarity constraint, but satisfy the locality constraints, which is under the assumption that the correspondence will be taken as an inlier if their nearest-neighbor feature-point counterparts are within the predefined thresholds with respect to the objective feature-point counterpart. Secondly, these two selected correspondences from visual sensor and quaternions from inertial sensor are jointly employed to derive the initial body poses. Thirdly, a coarse-to-fine procedure proceeds in removing visual false matches and estimating body poses iteratively using Expectation Maximization (EM). Ultimately, the optimal orientation estimation is achieved. Experimental results validate that our proposed method is effective and well suited for wearable orientation estimate.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"251 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116391444","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, it will have influences on the output performance of relay like pick-up time and normally open contact force. So, it may cause the false operation or failure of relay which may affect the stability and safety of power system. In this paper, the variation of coil circuit and electromagnetic field are qualitatively analyzed to predict the changing rule of pick-up characteristics under voltage fluctuation. Voltage fluctuation is simulated and calculated by FORTRAN program based on the combine simulation of ADAMS and ANSYS. Qualitative analysis is verified by the simulation. This method is suitable for the analysis of electrical apparatuses and helps to the research on limitation of grid swing and reliability of power elements.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"251 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122498366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many state-of-the-art superpixel segmentation algorithms rely either on minimizing special energy functions or on clustering pixels in the effective distance space. While in this paper, we introduce a novel algorithm to produce superpixels based on the edge map by utilizing a split-andmerge strategy. Firstly, we obtain the initial superpixels with uniform size and shape. Secondly, in the splitting stage, we find all possible splitting contours for each superpixel by overlapping the boundaries of this superpixel with the edge map, and then choose the best one to split it which ensure the superpixels produced by this splitting are dissimilarity in color and similarity in size. Thirdly, in the merging stage, the Bhattacharyya distance between two color histograms in the RGB space for each pair of adjacent superpixels is computed to evaluate their color similarity for merging superpixels. At last, we iterate the split-and-merge steps until no superpixels have changed. Experimental results on the Berkeley Segmentation Dataset (BSD) show that the proposed algorithm can achieve a good performance compared with the state-of-the-art superpixel segmentation algorithms.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117295491","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, conventional gait planning methods of Zero Moment Point and neural networks are much time-consuming, and existing central pattern generator (CPG) based method can only generate the gait of going forward. Based on the phase and trajectory analysis, this paper proposes a modified gait planning method based on CPG for the sampling-based footstep planning. By adjusting the parameter of the CPG, it is available to obtain different gaits of going forward, stepping side and swerving, and realize smooth transition between these gaits. Physical experiments on NAO robot verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128207936","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a hybrid permutation-based differential evolution with tabu list (HPDETL) is presented to solve NWFSSP with makespan criteria. More specifically, the proposed HPDETL algorithm employs new permutation-based discrete DE with tabu list (PDETL) to generate new individuals. In addition, a local search based on fast complex heuristic (FCH) is embedded into PDETL to improve its search performance. Experiments and comparisons are conducted based on well-known benchmark instances to test the performance of PDETTL and HPDETL. The computational results show that the HPDETL algorithm can find either competitive or better results than the meta-heuristic and heuristic algorithms reported in recent literature.","PeriodicalId":186975,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124689766","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
