The abnormalities in the vascular pattern of the retina, such as vessel shape, branching pattern, width, tortuosity, or the appearance of retinal itself, may be associated with the occurrence of retinopathy or cardiovascular diseases. This paper is focus on the development of an algorithm to measure bifurcation angle of the retinal for image analysis. From survey, there is still lack of automation for bifurcation angle measurement. Thus this initial work investigates and proposes the key steps for bifurcation measurement process. The key steps of the proposed method include segmentation of the region of interest (ROI), tracing the vessels that are needed for angle determination and lastly determine the bifurcation angle by using the dot product of the traced boundaries. The results are compared with the manual measurement of the bifurcation angle using quantitative and qualitative measurement. The experimental results show promising result of the proposed method in automating the measurement of bifurcation angle of retinal. Thresholding is a sort of picture division that separates protest apportioning a picture into a closer view and foundation. This project will describe a few selected thresholding methods such as Fuzzy C-Mean Algorithm's method, Wolf's method, Bradley's method, Bernsen's method, Triangle's Method and Deghost's Method. Each method will experiment with the malaria image. The objective of thresholding method is to simplify an image into something that is easier to examine. By using MATLAB R2017b as its core programming software, the image will be separated by unused background with uncertainty. The thresholding method will undergo image quality analysis such as Sensitivity and Specificity. Since it is an open space, we need tools to ensure the security. Authentication provides a mean to verify authenticity of an entity against illegal access to a device or an application in cyberspace. Recent smartphones have already equipped with biometrics system (fingerprint and face recognition) which can be used for authentication. Iris recognition is identified as the most reliable biometrics traits. It however needs a substantial computing power. In this paper, we develop an iris recognition algorithm based on Fisher algorithm which can be run in a lighter computing platform. Nonetheless, the use of power electronics came with an increased possibility of the drive failure, mainly caused by the switching device itself. To address this reliability issue, various methods have been widely discussed for inverter fault detection and localization (FDL). The development process of the FDL algorithms often involve some fairly complicated mathematical models. Hence, this work is intended to present an approach of utilizing MATLAB and Simulink software to assist in the process of simulating the induction motor drive operation under healthy and faulty inverter conditions. Twenty-one combinations of open-circuit fault are simulated, the data are then used for FDL specifically using time domain current vector trajectory analysis. A 2D slice on the coronal plane from the 3D numerical scattered fibroglandular breast phantom is selected. The tumor is added into breast phantom with low contrast between the normal breast and malignant tumor tissue. Through numerous simulations, FBTS technique showed the ability to identify the presence of 6mm in diameter tumor embedded in fibroglandular tissue of the breast at low frequency. As frequency increases, this technique was unable to reconstruct the object under test (OUT) accurately. In order to solve this problem at higher frequency, Frequency-Hopping approach is then applied to integrate with the FBTS technique. There has been a serious safety concern relating to LPG leakage in the environment. Exposure to LPG would cause explosion and affect the well-being of the people in the nearby area if it is not carefully monitored. An Electronic Nose (e-nose) system is used to monitor the gas and trigger an alarm as well as control the leakage within the environment. The environment is monitored by using wireless e-nose known as node, which is installed inside the environment. The node consists of two LPG gas sensors as well as a temperature sensor. The acquired data is sent wirelessly to the base node through Wi-Fi communication protocol. The acquired data is analysed by the base node to automatically determine the gas concentration in the environment and leakages. The system used an alarm and an indication lamp to alert the staff within the plant if gas leakage is detected. It will also automatically activate the water sprinkler system and exhaust fan which will reduce the gas concentration. Initial result shows that the system is able to detect the leakage when the gas concentration exceeds the pre-set value. It using camera to track hand movement and interpret into gesture database using image processing. High recognition performance requires every single coordinate projection is properly analyzed to obtain the trajectory of hand gesture. This research aim is to develop a hand gesture recognition system by using ontological approach. Ontology is the framework structure for organizing interconnected complex data model mainly function for information retrieval. In this research, ontology design is divided into three domains which are knowledge domain, attribute domain and process domain. Knowledge domain contains resampled and normalized raw gestural data from motion capture. The attribute domain is the stage where all the features of raw data was presented. However, the current challenge is to expand the variety of attribute in order to obtain higher recognition results where the raw gestural data only consists of $x$ and $y$ coordinate points. This paper has proposed the method to increase the number of attribute by converting the normalized position data into velocity, acceleration, and combination of them.
