The reduction of yearly economic loss is discussed in this article in order to maximize the techno-economical benefits. On the IEEE-69 radial bus system, four different cases have been studied using exponential loads, namely no control, CVR with DG, CVR with D-STATCOM, and CVR with DG and D-STATCOM. The optimal position and size for DG and D-STATCOM are chosen through the Rao-1 optimization. Simulation result shows that combined approach of CVR, D-STATCOM and DG has a larger impact on power consumption decrease of 3.97% and active power losses of 88% with maximum economic saving of $62610 compared to the other cases.","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"10 21","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120822665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simulated results show that because of the fringing field effects, the dual-k (SiO2 + HfO2) spacer substantially reduces the leakage parameters and enhances the analog performance. In comparison to the conventional FinFET, the dual-k spacer configuration has been shown to have a switching ratio that is increased by 102 times and a quality factor that is increased by 46.75% when run through a simulation. In addition, a dual-k spacer configuration also improves the leakage current and subthreshold swing by 98.69% and 15.51%. Thus, the dual-k spacer JAM-GS-GAA FinFET might be an enticing solution for high-performance and low-power analog applications.","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127031961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main reason behind the growth of brain tumors is the uncontrolled and abnormal development of cells in the brain. Early detection of such growth improves survival. Therefore, developing automated systems that detect abnormal growth will help radiologists make accurate diagnoses. This paper presents a new metaheuristic-based methodology for early detection of brain tumors using the Melody Search Optimization Algorithm with Extreme Softplus learning. In the pretreatment step, image quality is improved by intensity normalization in combination with an adaptive bilateral filter. Histogram Oriented Gradient (HOG) extracts slope features. Automatic brain tumor segmentation splits tumor into sub-regions using Melody Search Optimization Algorithms combined with Extreme Softplus Learning. The performance of the proposed tumor segmentation technique is assessed based on the images acquired from the database. Our experiments have demonstrated that improved segmentation can help avoid the next level of danger. Segmentation metrics were calculated and compared to manual depictions, such as dice similarity, Jaccard index, and percentage of relative error (RE %).","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127744656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the uncertainty and intermittency of these resources make it necessary to have an energy storage system. In the present scenario, storage systems are expensive and hence it is always advisable to perform optimal sizing of such systems. This will improve the efficiency and utilization of the system. Under the present work, the optimal sizing of a grid-connected hybrid renewable energy system is performed. The model proposed includes biomass, solar, grid, and battery as storage, and evaluation is carried out based on the technical and economical parameters for the rural site of Madhya Pradesh. For this purpose, the discrete harmony search algorithm is applied to minimize the total annualized cost of the system. For the optimal contribution of each resource, two resource scenario is analyzed here and, further results are validated using the particle swarm algorithm (PSO). The optimal model has 33.75 kW solar PV, biomass of 30 kW, battery of 98.4 kW, and the system is connected to the grid. The total annualized cost obtained for the best case is Rs 6.58 million and the cost of energy is Rs 4.85/kWh.","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126829551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To achieve this many synchronization techniques have been discussed in literatures. For this purposes PLL is widely used because of its simple implementation and robust structure. The Generalized Integrator (GI) based Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) has become favorite among researchers specially Second-Order-GI-PLL. It is widely used in grid connected single-phase system because of its advantages over conventional and others PLL. However, in weak grid conditions the performance of the SOGI-PLL greatly affected, it is sensitive to DC-offset and sub-harmonics. It is having frequency feedback loop that degrade the performance of the PLL during rapid changes in the frequency. To overcome these issues a Derivative Element (DE) based PLL is used. DE-PLL having no frequency feedback loop that allows it to achieve high performance even during sudden frequency variation. In this literature both the SOGI-PLL and DE-PLL have discussed in detailed and their performance is analyzed under weak grid condition by using MATLAB/SIMULINK.","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131239463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, high penetration of SPV into the distribution network severely threatens grid stability. Therefore, the need for ancillary compensation support is increasingly important. However, the additional converter arrangement for compensation incurs extra costs. In this article, a sparrow search algorithm tuned anti-windup fractional order proportional integral (AWFOPI) controller for a three-phase grid-tied SPV-distribution static compensation system (DSTATCOM). During the daytime, active load demand is intended to be met by the system configuration powered by SPV equipped with the proposed control approach. And also provide reactive load demand such that UPF operation with the grid is always ensured. After satisfying load needs, excess SPV power is pumped into the grid. The system functions as DSTATCOM, supporting the grid reactive power needs throughout the night when SPV power is unavailable. This controller is tested in Matlab via a series of simulated experiments. The simulation results show that the proposed controls operate effectively under unfavourable scenarios.","PeriodicalId":183947,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Silchar Subsection Conference (SILCON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130975085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The optimum efficiency of the DAB converter is achieved by operating both the H-bridges in ZVS condition. The range of ZVS operation is limited with SPS control and this limitation is overcome by DPS control. The DPS control increases the system efficiency as well as limits the back power flow into the system with appropriate combination of inner and outer phase shifts. In this paper, the range of ZVS operation is identified by using harmonic analysis. The AC-link fundamental component extraction using SO-SOGI has been proposed for minimization of back power flow into the system.
