The Fund of Manuscripts of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Raykhan Beruni of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan has 7 seven manuscripts of Mu’izzi’s work. Al-Mu’izzi’s work consists of four main sections, which, in turn, are divided into chapters, that is, smaller groups. The first chapter describes the changes in conjugating verbs in the past, present, and future tenses and the imperative mood. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of regular verbs, the third chapter to doubled verbs, the fourth chapter to empty verbs, the fifth chapter to insufficient verbs, the sixth chapter to lafif verbs, the seventh chapter to multitavi verbs, the eighth chapter to the study of the topic nun at-taqid. The article also discusses the forms of verbs of different types, their forms of the past and present future tenses, the types of verbs with the correct threeconsonant root, and the four-consonant verbs mazid. The phonology is related to the science of sarf, and we explained that if one of the six guttural sounds is the second or third consonant of the stem of the verb, then its vowel becomes fatha, not kasra. In addition, we describe the first kind of verbs ,مجردderivatives of the verbs ,مزيد فيهthe rules for the formation of forms of derivatives. We listed six types of verbs muzharrad ( ) فعل ثلاثي مجردin the work of Al-Mu’izzi. Based on a comparative analysis, the article examines the classifications of verb types by B.M. Grande and Al-Mu’izzi in Tasrif al-Af’al, as well as the reasons for presenting the IV type of verbs Mazid by the model , ْ إفعَ َّ الwhich at one time attracted the attention of grammarians Ash-Shumuni and Ibn al-Kita’. The differences between the classification of AlMu’izzi verb forms and the currently accepted classification of Arabic verb forms are also scientifically substantiated.","PeriodicalId":180207,"journal":{"name":"The Light of Islam","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124574445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The science furu’ fl-fiqh is the second major branch of Hanafi jurisprudence. It consists of practical rulings based on the rules established in the science of usul al-fiqh and contains the Sharia evidence of the mujtahids, and fatwas issued on their basis. The rulings arrange in the form of topic-based texts. The language is easy and popular, considering the conditions of time and space, issues and fatwas introduced, and the rulings of madhabs compared. During this period, about 50 famous works in the usul and furu’ al-fiqh of Hanafi jurisprudence in specific genres like matn, jadal, khilaf, ahkam, faraid, shurut, adab al-qadi, hiyal, siyar, ihtisab, and fatwas were written in the country. In the XI-XII centuries, the methodology of jurisprudential sources served as the basis for the writing of later works. In particular, on the science of furu al-fiqh: Mukhtasar alQuduri by Abu al-Husayn Quduri, Khizana al-fiqh by Abu Lays Samarkandi, al-Mabsut by Imam Sarakhsi, Tuhfat alfuqaha by Alauddin Samarkandi, Badoe as-Sanoe fi Tartib ash-Sharoe by Alauddin Qasani, Bidayat al-Mubtadi and al-Hidaya Sharh al-bidaya by Burhanuddin Marginani and al-Fiqh an-nafi by Nasiruddin Samarkandi were also written during this period. Reliable sources of the jurisprudence of the Hanafi School were written by leading scholars in their field in the XI-XII centuries in Transoxiana. We can describe these works as free of weak narrations, free of mention of evidence, and documents, easy to read and memorize. The object of the study is the fatwas issued by the ulema of Egypt, Turkey, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and aimed at deradicalization of the people’s opinions. The subject of the study is the regulatory role and processes of applying fatwas to deradicalize the population of these countries. The study of the subject covers historical, theological, legal, socio-psychological, and political aspects, and to solve the tasks set, several scientific approaches and methods are required. The importance of applying theological and academic approaches is substantiated. According to the theological approach, social and all other processes are explained from the divine point of view. The corresponding norms of religious sources are studied. Each source of the chosen fatwa - sura, verse of the Koran, hadith, or the conclusion of authoritative ulema is subject to analysis and consideration primarily from a theological point of view. However, this approach will not give applied conclusions if the research, along with the theological aspect, involves the issue of radicalization, which requires the study of socio-political, economic, psychological, and other features of the object and subject of research. We think that with the theological approach, it is important to apply the academic approach in Islamic studies. One of the components of the scientific and methodological basis of this study is the comparative method. This method helps to identify the general forms, types, and effectiveness of fatwas. It is necessary to apply the genetic method - a method of studying social phenomena based on an analysis of their development to determine the features of the creation of fatwas. The application of this scientific method allows us to establish the primary problem - a misunderstanding or a controversial situation on a particular religious issue, on which it is necessary to issue a fatwa. Therefore, for in-depth analysis, it is advisable to apply the narrative method, the method of content analysis, and the empirical approach.","PeriodicalId":180207,"journal":{"name":"The Light of Islam","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130834535","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It seeks to answer the question of whether Imam alTirmidhi’s views contradict the Ahl as-Sunnah or not, as some suggested. These aspects are covered in the article based on three paragraphs. The first point is entitled “The Status of Imam alTirmidhi in Science and the Importance of Al-Jami as-Sahih.” This paragraph describes the status of Imam Tirmidhi and the significance of the book “al-Jami” inherited from him. The second paragraph, “The Creed of Imam al-Tirmidhi” states that Imam al-Tirmidhi followed to the Hadith School. This paragraph reveals that the scholar followed the path of interpreting some verses, which is also the path of the Ahl as-Sunnah. Also, Imam al-Tirmidhi’s views on murtakib alkabira, the issue of faith, and the fact that action is a condition for the perfection of faith coincide with the Ahl as-Sunnah. The third paragraph, entitled “Fiqh of Imam alTirmidhi”, examines the scholar’s approach to jurisprudence. In this regard, Imam al-Tirmidhi was a scholar of hadith and jurisprudence, but he paid more attention to the science of hadith, narrated the words of the Companions and the followers about jurisprudence, the arguments of the sects, and preferred some of them. At the end of the study, it was concluded that Imam alTirmidhi was not an independent mujtahid like Abu Hanifa and the Shafi’i, but a mujtahid scholar who could make tarjih based on hadith. The article describes the translated works of the scholar, including “The History of Bukhara or Mawarannahr” by Herman Vamberi, “Musical Treatise” by Darvesh Ali Changi, “Navadir al-Waqai” by Ahmad Danish, “Tuzuks” by Amir Timur, the history of their writing, their content and specificity, as well as a preliminary analysis. Alikhantura Saguni’s personality is known to all through his political activities. However, his scientific heritage has not yet been adequately studied. For example, even though his works “The Sorrows of Turkestan” and “History of Muhammad” have been published several times, they have not been studied in detail, such as the political, educational, and religious environment, sources, and current state of affairs. If we talk about the translated works described and analyzed in this article, they are among the masterpieces in their field. For example, Amir Timur’s Tuzuks was written in Turkish, but today only Persian copies are preserved, which is considered unique in its field. The issue of the seven types of notes mentioned in Changi’s Musical Treatise shows how valuable this work is in music. However, in Europe, only one record is known. Another historical source translated into Uzbek by Saguni is “History of Bukhara or Mawarannahr” by Herman Vamberi, a Hungarian known for travelle knowledge of Oriental languages. This work is of specific importance. It covers the history of Central Asia from the earliest times to the second half of the XIX century. It relies on many primary sources. Ahmad Danish’s “Navadir al-Waqa’i” on the history of the Bukhara Emirate is another discovery by Saguni. The translator himself spoke in detail about the importance of this work in the introduction to the book. The contribution of Eastern thinkers to human civilization is invaluable, and the study of their creations is still a vital topic today. One of such thinkers was Mirza Abdulkadir Bedil (1644-1721), who is an unbreakable link in the chain that unites the Turkic, Persian and Indian people. The poet’s idea that everyone should be guided by moral criteria, including the pursuit of honesty and perfection, in the acquisition of knowledge, played an important role in the article. We studied in this article Bedil’s works in this area. The moral ideal of greatness was interpreted by the thinker as one of the priority values in human perfection, in achieving his perfection. When the thinker expressed his opinion on the idea of greatness he relied on the views of the scholars who lived before him and he enriched them with new content. In addition, Bedil pays attention to ethical concepts such as modesty and shame. When we analyze the moral values in his teaching, such as modesty, shame, disgrace, we see that they are in harmony with the work of Central Asian thinkers. For example, Yusuf Khas Hajib says about these concepts: In both worlds, what a person needs is a good character and good manners. Secondly, shame, modesty, and thirdly, truthfulness is also necessary. It is because of these qualities that a person finds happiness. Shame keeps a person from doing bad things, and shamelessness is a bad thing for a person. When honesty, modesty, and kindness are combined, the whole world will be full of happiness. We can find these ideas in Alisher Navoi’s moral views. For example, an unfaithful person has no shame; the shameless have no fidelity. If a person does not have these two qualities, he has no faith. The article analyzes Mirza Bedil’s idea that science is the true jewel of man and that for man to understand the secrets of nature, he must be knowledgeable and diligent.","PeriodicalId":180207,"journal":{"name":"The Light of Islam","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115658029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The creative activity of Ubaydullah ibn Masud Taju-sh-shari’a also coincided with the period of the Mongol invasion. During this period, the influence of various sects such as Mutazilites, Qadarites, Jabarites, and Kirmits increased. Ubaydullah ibn Masud in his work “Mukhtasaru-l-Wikaya” tried to teach his followers to easily and quickly answer problematic questions. The period of the Mongol invasion also influenced the factors that unite people. However, jurists such as Ibn Masud, following their traditions and customs, sought to raise the level of the religious and educational life of people. In the same period, there was a need for controversyfree and perfect works on fiqh issues. Although this was the main reason for writing the work, the second reason was to bring knowledge of fiqh to people in the most accessible form. The work “Mukhtasaru-l-wiqaya” is known for its accuracy and conciseness. The author strives for compactness and surprisingly effectively explains legal issues. As a result, students learned the proposed material very quickly. This work, written under the rules of the Hanafi school, is remarkable in that it complements the previously written sources. Among the Bukhara scientists, the scientific activity of Ubaydullah ibn Masud also played an important role. He was a mature scholar of his time, with a deep knowledge of jurisprudence.
