Orphanages children are more prone to Nutritional disease. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of health educational program for orphanages children regarding prevention of nutritional diseases. Research design: A quasi experimental research design was used in this study (pre-post test). Setting: The study was conducted at two orphanage homes (social home care for males and social home care for females) at Benha City in Kalyubia Governorate. Sample: A convenience sample of children (60 child) according to certain criteria of inclusion (6:17 years). Tools : Two tools were used. (I): Was a structured interviewing questionnaire which consist of two parts: (A): Demographic characteristics of orphanages children. (B): Children's knowledge regarding nutrition and nutritional diseases. (II): Observe children's practices concerning nutrition. Results : 33.3% of studied children had good total knowledge pre implementation of the program which increased to 55% post program, 20% of studied children had satisfactory total practices level preprogram which increased to 80% post program. There was a positive highly statistically significant correlation between the studied children’s total practices score and their total knowledge score pre and post program. Conclusion: Health educational program had a positive effect on improving level of knowledge and practices of orphanages children regarding prevention of nutritional diseases. Aim of the study: To assess the effect of educational program about adaptive leadership for nurse managers on staff nurses' outcomes. Study design : A quasi-experimental design. Setting: The study was conducted in all inpatient units at Benha University Hospital. Study subjects: Consisted of two groups: nurses managers (130) and staff nurses group (326). Tools of data collection : Three tools were used; Tool (I) Adaptive leadership Knowledge Questionnaire, Tool (II) Adaptive Leadership Self Report Questionnaire and Tool (III) Staff Nurses' Outcomes Questionnaire. Results: More than half (60.8%) of nurse managers had inadequate knowledge regarding adaptive leadership at pre-program phase, which improved to the majority (84.6%) of them had adequate knowledge at post-program phase with slightly decrease to be 78.5% at follow up phase. More than three fifths (67.7%) of nurse managers had unsatisfactory performance regarding adaptive leadership approaches at pre-program which improved to be the majority (81.5%) of them had satisfactory performance at immediate post program with slightly decreased to be more than three-quarters (76.9%) at follow up program phase. The highest percent (64.1 % & 59.8%) of staff nurses had high outcomes level at immediate post program and follow up phases respectively compared with one fifths (36.8%) of staff nurses had low level at pre-program phase. Conclusion: There were a highly statistically significant positive correlation between nurse managers’ total knowledge and performance regarding adaptive leadership and staff nurses’ outcomes at immediate post and follow-up program phases. Also, nurses may face physical and psychological problems as result of workaholism. Aim of the study : To assess the relation between workaholism and the quality of nursing care among staff nurses. Study design : A descriptive correlational design was utilized. Setting : The study was conducted in all inpatient units at Sohag University Hospitals. Study subjects : A simple random sample 274 of staff nurses at Sohag University Hospitals. Tools of data collection: 1 st tool : Nurses’ workaholism questionnaire, 2 nd tool : Quality of nursing care observational checklist. Results : Showed that more than two-thirds (70.1%) of staff nurses had a high level of workaholism and less than half (44.5%) of them reported a moderate level of quality of nursing care. Conclusion: The study concluded that, there was highly statistically significant positive correlation between total workaholism and quality of nursing care among staff nurses. Aim of the study : Was to assess occupational health hazards and protective measures among workers in pesticide factories. Research design: A descriptive research design was utilized to conduct this study . Setting: This study was conducted at kafr-El Zayat Pesticide Factory. Sampling: A simple random sample was utilized in this study, in the previous mentioned setting to study 225 workers. Tools: Two tool were used: First tool: A Structured interviewing questionnaire divided into two parts. Part (I): Consist of three sections (A) Socio-demographic characteristics of workers, (B) characteristics of work , (C) health problems facing workers in last six months. Part (II): Knowledge of workers regarding occupational health hazards in pesticide factories. Second tool: Observational check list to assess practices of workers toward preventive measures. Result: 45.3% of the studied workers aged 30->40 years with Mean age of workers = 35.93±8.10, 17.3 % of the studied workers exposes to fracture and 10.2 % exposed to Muscle fatigue and only 4.4% done periodic checkup, 33.8% of the studied employees have good level of total knowledge and 53.8% of the studied workers had satisfactory level regarding their total reported practices. Conclusion: Highly statistically significant relation between the studied employees total knowledge level and total reported practices. Patients' social support is considered to be a critical factor in the prognosis of schizophrenia. Aim of the study: To examine the relationship between perceived social support, level of functioning and recovery among patients with schizophrenia. Study design: A descriptive correlational research design was utilized. Setting: The study was conducted at the outpatient clinics of Psychiatric and Mental Health Hospital at Benha city, Qalyubia governorate. Study subjects: A purposive sample of 200 patients with schizophrenia. Tools of data collection : Four tools were used for data collection: Tool (I) A structured interviewing questionnaire including socio-demographic data and clinical data, Tool (II ) Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale (MSPSS), Tool (III) Recovery Assessment Scale (RAS). Tool (IV) WHODAS 2.0 (Functional Limitations and Level of Disability). Results: 68% of the studied patients had mild level of perceived social support, (69.5%) of the studied patients had moderate level of recovery. Also, (86.6%) of the studied patients had high level of total functioning limitation and disabilities. Conclusion: The study concluded that there was a highly statistically significant positive correlation between the studied patients’ total score of perceived social support and total score of recovery. While, there were a highly statistically significant negative correlations between total score of functioning limitation and disabilities and total score of perceived social support and also total score of recovery. Patients' social support is considered to be a critical factor in the prognosis of schizophrenia. It involves removing aliquots of the neonate blood and replacing with donor blood in order to remove abnormal blood components and circulate toxins whilst maintaining adequate circulating blood volume. Aim of the study: Was to improve nurses' performance regarding caring of neonates with hyperbilirubinemia undergoing blood exchange . Research design: A quasi-experimental design was utilized. Settings: Neonatal Intensive Care Units at Benha University Hospital and Benha Specialized Pediatric Hospital Sample: A convenient sample of 80 nurses working in the previously mentioned settings and a purposive sample (43) of neonates with hyperbilirubinemia undergoing blood exchange. Tools: Tool I: A structured interviewing questionnaire sheet including the following parts; Part (1): Personal characteristics of the studied nurses. Part (2): Personal characteristics of neonates. Part (3): Nurses' knowledge assessment sheet. Tool II: Observational checklists. Results: There was a highly positive statistical correlation between total knowledge and total practices scores of the studied nurses pre and post-implementation of the educational program. Conclusion: The educational program was effective in improving nurses' knowledge and enhancing their practices regarding care of neonates with hyperbilirubinemia undergoing blood exchange.
