In this project, there are two major simulations done using Sentaurus Process and Sentaurus Device. Sentaurus Process is a simulator for semiconductor manufacturing process. While Sentaurus Device work as a device simulator to obtain electrical characteristic. The simulations results are viewed in two dimensions (2D) using INSPECT and TECPLOT SV tools. The threshold voltages (Vth) for NMOS and PMOS of 60nm are 0.210889V and −0.182V, the drain saturation current (Idsat) are 9.575e–04A and 1.439e–03A with the leakage current (Ioff) are 2.623e–05A and 2.601e–07A. In this paper we investigate combination of feature space transforms with speaker clustering to improve rapid speaker adaptation. fMLLR employs a single transformation matrix and a bias vector to transform the test speaker's features, linearly. We applied fMLLR for less than 10 seconds of speech signals for Persian test speakers. It improved recognition by 1.5%. Then we proposed combination of fMLLR and clustering, the results show this method improved recognition by 2.5%. In another approach, we clustered speakers and applied Maximum Likelihood Linear Regression (MLLR) to each cluster, in this step we improved model of each cluster, and then use fMLLR for rapid speaker adaptation, our result shows 2.25% increasing in speech recognition.","PeriodicalId":178300,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117167139","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electrodynamics model of a non-stationary horizontally-homogeneous surface layer is developed with taking into account the coefficients of turbulence diffusion and convection mixing. It is received, that the convection mixing intensification increases the vertical scale of volume charge distribution. The values of electrode effect near surface are changed insignificantly. Obtained results permit to make a conclusion that the convection mechanism significantly determines the structure of electrodynamic profiles in the surface layer.","PeriodicalId":178300,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130642130","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A case study was conducted to illustrate that the use of hierarchical cluster analysis. This approach can be used for designing of a TOD signal control system, since it automatically identifies time-of-day (TOD) intervals using the historical collected data. The cluster analysis approach is able to utilize a high-resolution system state definition that takes full advantage of the extensive set of sensors deployed in a traffic signal system and cluster validation supports the hypotheses presented. The results of this research indicate that advanced data mining techniques hold high potential to provide automated signal control techniques.","PeriodicalId":178300,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115793460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recently a new family of codes known as turbo codes is incorporated in 3G and 4G wireless standards. It has capability of performing close to Shannon Limit. In this paper we compare performance of convolution code for IS −95 and turbo coded CDMA 2000 over Rayleigh fading channel. Due to its constructional capabilities, turbo codes provide better performance because of recursive nature. Simulation is carried out in Rayleigh fading environment and it is observed that the turbo code performs better than convolution codes. Turbo code drastically improves the performance compared to convolutional codes even at low SNRs also. For the SNRs in the range of 6 dB turbo codes outperform both the IS-95 and CDMA 2000.","PeriodicalId":178300,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124805492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A new VLSI LUT based “Mean Square distortion error” core is introduced in the VQ Encoder architecture. The paper focuses mainly on the modified technique utilized in our new VQ Encoder architecture which utilizes the repeatability and symmetric property observed in the Mean Square error calculations thereby completely eliminating the multiplication or addition data processing required for the MSE(Mean Square distortion error). This has resulted in improving the processing speed and has incorporated simplicity in the design by introducing an LUT, instead of the exhaustive arithmetic processing. This improved MSE module has been designed, implemented and tested in VHDL and synthesized and simulated. The improved hardware design can be used to easily build a larger VQ system by incorporating multiple such reusable cores. This makes the complete system design more modular with predictable delay and hence more suitable for time multiplexed wireless applications in real time Image Compression applications with processing speed of greater than 30 frames/sec.","PeriodicalId":178300,"journal":{"name":"2010 2nd International Conference on Electronic Computer Technology","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-05-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123739843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
