Today, it is possible to generate enormous amount of test cases for an arbitrary system that reach a remarkably high level of coverage, but the effectiveness of test cases is limited by the availability of test oracles that can distinguish failing executions. Previous work by the authors has explored the use of unsupervised and semi-supervised learning techniques to develop test oracles so that the correctness of software outputs and behaviours on new test cases can be predicated [1], [2], [10], and experimental results demonstrate the promise of this approach. In this paper, we present an evaluation study for test oracles based on machine-learning approaches via dynamic execution data (firstly, input/output pairs and secondly, amalgamations of input/output pairs and execution traces) by comparing their effectiveness with existing techniques from the specification mining domain (the data invariant detector Daikon [5]). The two approaches are evaluated on a range of mid-sized systems and compared in terms of their fault detection ability and false positive rate. The empirical study also discuss the major limitations and the most important properties related to the application of machine learning techniques as test oracles in practice. The study also gives a road map for further research direction in order to tackle some of discussed limitations such as accuracy and scalability. The results show that in most cases semi-supervised learning techniques performed far better as an automated test classifier than Daikon (especially in the case that input/output pairs were augmented with their execution traces). However, there is one system for which our strategy struggles and Daikon performed far better. Furthermore, unsupervised learning techniques performed on a par when compared with Daikon in several cases particularly when input/output pairs were used together with execution traces.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"34 14","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133787460","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this study is to identify training priorities as perceived by healthcare experts (> ten-year experience) using an anonymous questionnaire and to compare the resultant priorities with those of the European Union. Participants were asked to evaluate 23 training actions using the likelihood of feasibility, effectiveness, deliverability and maximum impact as evaluation criteria. Statistical analysis, using SPSS included frequency distributions and correlations, is used for data analysis. Fifty respondents, out of 187 distributed forms, were eligible to be considered as experts, whereas 15 out of 23 training actions received a mean score of ≥85. The results show that helping to recognize e-Health (i.e., health IT) as a specialty and increasing worker confidence through exposure to relevant IT solutions and medical technologies has scored more than 90. However, supporting the training of students of secondary schools who like to work in healthcare sectors has been scored the lowest. Training priorities as reported by Libyan experts were different from those of European experts. However, there is a need to consider the locally prioritized actions when considering the training of healthcare workers of health institutions in Libya.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128389965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lowering inlet ambient air temperature of its gas turbine unit, by keeping it at or close to the designed conditions, will maintain a good performance and fixing overall cycle thermal efficiency. Linking of parabolic solar trough collectors and LiBr-H2O absorption chiller to this power plant would solve this problem. This can be done, by capturing solar thermal energy and employing it as a power source for the absorption chiller, in order to provide a low air temperature inlet to the gas turbine unit. A mathematical model of the existing combined cycle was constructed and simulated by using a software package to examine effects of these modifications on overall cycle performance. The simulation results of the combined cycle gas turbine unit performance without any modifications revealed that any increase in ambient air temperature will lead to a great reduction in the output electrical power. For instance, when an average maximum ambient air temperature reached 31.5 o C, which occurs in May, the net gas turbine unit output electrical power decreases by 12.42 % to reach 261 MW, whereas 298 MW at ISO conditions. However, by adding parabolic solar trough collectors, the obtained cooling capacity reached 9.77 MW at an inlet cooling ambient air temperature of 13.4 o C. This cooling capacity would augment the gas turbine electrical power output by 14.18 %, minimize electricity fluctuations and also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2.35 %. The obtained results were in good agreement with previous theoretical and experimental studies.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115806038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many factors force operators to optimally coordinate OCRs such as increasing daily activities of consumers and interconnected systems. In the DN, calculations of the OCRs breakpoint and orderly enumeration of multiple loops are the most important requirements for the coordination of OCR scheme. Consequently, avoiding blackouts and electricity interruption of some feeders from the grid. In this paper, a detailed improved OCR coordination by a mean of an intelligent technique using Benghazi MV-Distribution Network as a case study. The Water Cycle Algorithm (WCA) has been applied as one of the optimization techniques for the Benghazi MV-distribution Network. For validation purposes, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) has been implemented to check the applicability of the proposed WCA. A coded WCA and PSO are used in MATLAB to attain the OCR settings, then Benghazi MV-Distribution Network has been utilized in ETAP package to evaluate the robustness of the proposed approach. Therefore, a new technology, namely MVC pattern frameworks, was found by some companies to deal with such issues. In this paper, we present a design and implementation for a web-based application for e-commercial shops and third-parties to buy products from online shops using the Laravel framework. As result of our research, we were able to determine that the development was standardized and non-business logic relationships were automatically processed. Hence the accurate diagnosis of this type of gearbox-condition is quite challenging. The ground-breaking developments of low-cost and low-power Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) make it possible for MEMS accelerometer to be easily mounted on the rotating shaft directly, providing more accurate dynamic information of rotating machines. This paper focuses on installing two tiny MEMS accelerometers on the input shaft of a planetary gearbox diametrically opposite to each other for measuring the acceleration. After that, two feature parameters are identified based on the time domain and frequency domain analysis of the acceleration signals obtained from the on-rotor accelerometers. The analysis results show that the proposed method can identify the simulated faults effectively which in terms highlight its economic and reliable fault diagnosis approach towards the condition monitoring of planetary gearbox.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131913451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study is conducted at low tip speed ratio of zero, and one, using CFD SST turbulent Model in COMSOL Multyphysics (FEM Solver). First, single blade rotor of NACA0018 is investigated at tip speed zero and one respectively to specify the optimal pitching at each azimuthal angle from 0o-360o. Then the calculated data regarding the optimal pitching for single blade is applied to NACA0018 three bladed rotor at the same tip speeds. The resultant computed average torque per revolution from the three optimally pitched blades rotor is 8 times the torque of the same rotor without applying the active optimal pitching in the case of zero tip speed ratio. The torque is improved to 18 times in the case when the tip speed ratio is equal to one.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123766523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Achieving an accurate prediction for rain attenuation to certain location is quite difficult due to the inhomogeneity of the rain along the propagation path. Vertical and horizontal reduction factors are playing primary role to estimate the effective path length by reducing the mathematical path length which not penetrated in the rain. In order to predict precisely the rain attenuation for a certain location, accurate environment characteristics estimation is required because it is geographically dependent. This paper presents a new model that is able to predict the earth-space rain attenuation when the signal path is either completely or partially affected by the rain. It is based on the empirical international telecommunication union model (ITU-R). The frequency of the predicted signal has been carried out in this study is 31 GHz and the specific attenuation was evaluated using power law approximations, where the earth station assumed to be located in Kuantan, Malaysia (3.80°N, 103.32°E). The relationship between the signal path length and the attenuation is compared for different elevation angle, and it is concluded that the rain attenuation has a direct relationship with the elevation angle where it is increases as the elevation angle increase.","PeriodicalId":178037,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Engineering & MIS 2020","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134030550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
