Maskromo, Suci Wulandari","doi":"10.21082/jlittri.v28n1.2022.62-76","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21082/jlittri.v28n1.2022.62-76","url":null,"abstract":"The existence of the coconut processing industry opens up opportunities to improve the performance of coconut smallholders that tends to decrease, to support the needs of raw material in the industries through development of a more effective supply chain.  This study aimed to develop a strategy to improve the operation of the coconut supply chain to improve the performance of smallholder coconut plantations through vertical integration of the coconut supply chain based on the coconut supply chain network map, and the performance of the coconut supply chain. The research was conducted in The Regency of Gorontalo in 2019 and used a qualitative research method with an inductive approach through participatory observation of farmers' farms, industry, and their environment, as well as interviews with informants selected by the snowball method. The results showed that the strategy for improving the performance of the supply chain of fresh coconut and coconut products through vertical integration by improving supply chain performance and the flow of coconut product price information to reduce uncertainty, supported by a digital information system; and by improving the flow of supply of fresh coconut with the development of formal strategic partnerships between the processing industry and the organization of smallholders and collectors-suppliers. Partnership development requires the development of smallholder organizations, collectors-suppliers, harvest, and logistics service institutions to support the vertical integration of supply chains towards equitable balance. This strategic partnership is expected to encourage the flow of goods, finance, and information can take place properly.Keywords:   coconut processing industry, coconut smallholders, strategic partnership, supply chain, supply chain vertical integration AbstrakTumbuhnya industri pengolahan kelapa di Gorontalo membuka peluang untuk meningkatkan kinerja perkebunan kelapa rakyat yang cenderung menurun, sehingga dapat mendukung kebutuhan bahan baku industri melalui pengembangan rantai pasok yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan strategi perbaikan kinerja rantai pasok kelapa melalui integrasi vertikal rantai pasok kelapa berdasarkan atas peta jaringan rantai pasok kelapa dan kinerja rantai pasok kelapa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif melalui observasi partisipatif di kebun petani, industri dan lingkungannya, serta wawancara dengan informan yang dipilih dengan metode bola salju. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Gorontalo pada tahun 2019. Damage inflicted is around 33-60%. Lush and humid plants can cause more severe damage. Various studies to control these pests have been carried out, one of which is the use of botanical pesticides. Research on the effectiveness of the tuba root formula to suppress the H. antonii population has been carried out in the laboratory and greenhouse of the Bogor Spice and Medicinal Crops Research Institute from August to September 2021.In this study, various formulas were used with the active ingredient of tuba root extract with ethanol and methanol solvents as well as additional CPO, detergent, and organic silicon. The treatments were arranged as follows: 1) control, 2) tuba root extract with water solvent with a concentration of 5, 10, and 15 m /liter of water, 3) tuba root extract with ethanol solvent with the same concentration, 4) tuba root extract with methanol solvent, also with the same concentration, which were all arranged in a Completely Randomized Design and 3 replications. Observations were made on 1, 3, 6, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, and 168 Hours After Treatment by counting the number of dead and surviving insects. Data analysis was carried out through DMRT and determination of the effectiveness of the formula using LC50. The results showed that the best formula was the formula using methanol as a solvent with a concentration of 10 ml and an LC50 value of 1670 ppm. Kata kunci : Derris elliptica BENTH, effectiveness, formula, Helopeltis antonii SIGN AbstrakH. antonii SIGN merupakan salah satu genus dari Helopeltis yang dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada beberapa tanaman perkebunan. Kerusakan yang ditimbulkan sekitar 33-60%. Pertanaman yang rimbun dan lembab menyebabkan kerusakan yang lebih berat. Berbagai penelitian untuk mengendalikan hama tersebut telah banyak dilakukan, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan pestisida nabati. Penelitian efektifitas formula akar tuba untuk menekan populasi H. antonii telah dilakukan di laboratium dan rumah kaca Balai Penelitian Tanaman Rempah dan Obat Bogor pada bulan Agustus hingga September 2021. Pada penelitian ini digunakan berbagai formula dengan bahan aktif ekstrak akar tuba dengan pelarut etanol dan metanol serta tambahan CPO, deterjen, dan silikon organik. Perlakuan disusun sebagai berikut:1) kontrol, 2) ekstrak akar tuba dengan pelarut air dengan konsentrasi 5, 10, dan 15 ml/lt air, 3) ekstrak akar tuba dengan pelarut etanol dengan konsentrasi yang sama,4) ekstrak akar tuba dengan pelarut metanol, juga dengan konsentrasi yang sama, yang seluruhnya disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dan 3 ulangan. Organic cultivation is expected to provide healthy food and medicinal ingredients. The study aimed to determine the production and quality of several lemongrass clones applied with an organic fertilizer at the Sukamulya research garden, ISMECRI, in Sukabumi, West Java, from November 2019 to June 2020. A Randomized Block design consisting of two factors and two replications was applied. The first factor was clones consisting of three lemongrass (C. citratus), i.e., a) Sukamulya, b) Cimande, c) Banten, and d) one clone of C. flexuosus. The second factor was organic fertilizer (1 kg/plant), namely: a) control, b) cow manure, c) goat manure, and d) chicken manure. The results showed that the application of organic fertilizer derived from cow and goat manure could increase the leaf length of several lemongrass clones. Plant growth, including the number of tillers, plant height, leaf length, pseudo-stem length, canopy, oil content, and oil yield of five-months-old citronella plants, were influenced by clones. C. flexuosus had lower plant height, pseudo-stem length, and mass weight than the three C. citratus clones but had higher oil content and yield. Lemongrass oil content in each clone was 0.82% (C. flexuosus), 0.30% (Sukamulya clone), 0.18% (Cimande clone), and 0.21% (Banten clone). The highest oil and citral yield was produced from C. flexuosus (72.08 and 51.06 kg/ha) and Sukamulya clone (69.91 and 54.27 kg/ha).Kata kunci : clone, Cymbopogon citratus Stapf., growth, organic fertilizer, yield AbstrakSerai dapur (Cymbopogon citratus Stapf) merupakan tanaman potensial penghasil minyak atsiri (lemongrass oil) dan sitral, yang banyak dimanfaatkan untuk bumbu dapur, industri farmasi, kosmetik, dan obat tradisional. Budidaya organik diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana penyediaan bahan obat dan industri yang lebih sehat dan aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produksi dan mutu beberapa klon serai dapur yang menggunakan pupuk organik. Penelitian dilakukan di KP. Sukamulya, Balittro, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat sejak November 2019 sampai Juni 2020. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dua faktor dengan dua ulangan. Recent studies showed that bioactive compounds from plants possess great anti-diabetic activity with less unfavorable side effects. Therefore, our study aims to evaluate several bioactive compounds from Green Gedi, Leilem, and Sesewanua against alpha-amylase and aldose reductase using a molecular docking approach and to assess their pharmacological properties. We used GC-MS to identify bioactive compounds from three species of Indonesian medicinal plants. Identified bioactive compounds along with bioactive compounds from the literature search were used as ligands targeting alpha-amylase and aldose reductase as protein targets using PyRx. The pharmacological evaluations were performed with SwissADME, ADMETlab, and PASS online. We found that ligands used in this study vary in pharmacological properties and had binding energy ranging from -3.7 kcal/mol to -10.8 kcal/mol and -4.5 kJ/mol to -11.3 kJ/mol against alpha-amylase and aldose reductase, respectively. To conclude, bioactive compounds in these plants have great anti-diabetic potential due to their pharmacological properties, binding energy, and interactions against alpha-amylase and aldose reductase.Keywords: bioactive compounds, medicinal plants, molecular docking, pharmacological properties AbstrakDiabetes melitus dicirikan dengan kurangnya sekresi maupun kerja hormon insulin yang menyebabkan kondisi hiperglikemik kronis. Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan potensi dari senyawa bioaktif dari tanaman yang memiliki aktivitas antidiates dengan tingkat efek samping yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi beberapa senyawa bioaktif dari Gedi Hijau, Leilem, and Sesewanua terhadap alfa amilase dan aldos reductase menggunakan penambatan molekuler dan mengukur sifat farmakologinya. GC-MS digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa bioaktif dari beberapa tanaman Indonesia. Penelusuran literatur juga dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi senyawa bioaktif yang berpotensi sebagai antidiabetes. Senyawa bioaktif yang teridentifikasi digunakan sebagai ligan dengan menargetkan alfa amilase dan aldos reduktase sebagai protein target dengan menggunakan PyRx. Evaluasi sifat farmakologi dilakukan dengan menggunakan SwissADME, ADMETlab, dan PASS online. Senyawa-senyawa bioaktif yang teridentifikasi menunjukkan sifat farmakologi yang bervariasi dan memiliki energi ikatan terhadap alfa amilase sebesar -3.7 kcal/mol sampai -10.8 kcal/mol dan terhadap aldos reduktase sebesar -4.5 kJ/mol sampai -11.3 kJ/mol. The study aimed to determine the combination of pheromone trap and fruit wrapping effect on cocoa pod damage and trapped insects. The research was conducted on community cocoa plantations in Samigaluh, Kalibawang, and Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. The experimental was arranged with a randomized block design, four treatments (pheromone trap, fruit wrapping, hormone trap+ fruit wrapping, and no treatment), five replicates, and 20 trees/replication. Six pheromone traps were installed with a distance between the traps of about 40 m. Cocoa fruits treated with wrapping packs were 5 pieces/tree/replication. Insect populations caught in pheromone trap were observed every week, while affected cocoa pods were at harvest. The results showed that CPB caught in a pheromone trap in single and combination treatments were the same (3%). Other insects trapped in the pheromone trap and the combination treatments of pheromone+fruit wrapping were also the same (97%). Insects caught were mostly the Hymenoptera family (48%), Araneae (13-17%), Diptera (16%), Coleoptera (5-8%), and Lepidoptera (5-7%), while CPB caught was only 0-7. Cocoa pods attacked in the pheromone trap treatment were not significantly different (60.95%) from the control (64.33%), whereas CPB attacks were significantly different in the combination treatment (6.02%) compared to fruit wrapping alone (5.57%). The problem with coffee plant cultivation in this area is the infestation of white root disease (WRD). The study aimed to identify the symptom and pathogens that cause WRD on Arabica coffee plants in the Gayo highland area. The research activities were field surveys and laboratory observation during 2020-2022. The field survey was performed to collect root and soil samples; observe the symptom and transmission of the disease; as well as information on the shade tree types, cultivation technique, climate, soil type, and ph in three villages, Rimba Raya and Sepeden Village, Bener Meriah District (900 and 1500 m asl) and Lelabu Village, Aceh Tengah District (1300 m asl). Isolation and identification of pathogens were conducted in the laboratory, continued with the Postulate Koch test to the coffee seedling in the glasshouse. The result showed that the WRD in Gayo coffee has widely transmitted with severity levels of 16,67-48,33%. The early symptom of WRD is yellowish leaves and falling out, the deciduous plant then dead. The mycelia or rhizomorphs of the fungi are white to yellowish and tightly stick on the root surface. The Postulate Koch test result on coffee seedlings and identification of pathogen showed that the WRD was caused by Rigidoporus microporus. Salah satu kendala dalam budi daya tanaman kopi Gayo adalah serangan penyakit jamur akar putih (JAP). Tujuan penelitan adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gejala dan penyebab penyakit JAP pada tanaman kopi Arabika di dataran tinggi Gayo (Aceh Tengah dan Bener Meriah). Kegiatan penelitian adalah survei lapangan dan penelitian laboratorium pada tahun 2020-2022. Survei lapangan dilakukan untuk mengambil sampel akar dan tanah; mengamati gejala dan sebaran penyakit; serta informasi tentang jenis tanaman penaung, teknik budi daya, iklim, jenis, dan pH tanah. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga desa, yaitu Desa Rimba Raya dan Sepeden, Kabupaten Bener Meriah (900 dan 1500 m dpl), serta Desa Lelabu, Kecamatan Bebesan, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah (1300 m dpl). Isolasi dan identifikasi patogen dilakukan di laboratorium, dilanjutkan dengan uji Postulat Koch pada bibit kopi di rumah kaca. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyakit JAP pada kopi Gayo telah meluas dengan tingkat keparahan 16,67-48,33%. Fertigation is a nutrient supply technique that is synergized with irrigation applications and has been widely used in commercial commodities such as horticulture but has not become a concern for pepper cultivation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of irrigation and fertigation applications in the dry season on the vegetative growth of black pepper plants. The three treatments included (1) application of fertilization according to SOP, (2) application of fertilization according to SOP and in the dry season added irrigation, and (3) application of fertilization according to SOP and in the dry season added fertigation (H3) tested in the experiment field of IPTP Sukamulya, Sukabumi in the period October 2018 – December 2019, using a randomized block design with 9 replications. The results showed that the application of irrigation and fertigation in the dry season increased all vegetative parameter values compared to control plants. The fertigation application was better than irrigation which was indicated by increased growth and nutrient status of leaf tissue, especially the elements of N, K, Ca, and Mg. The fertigation application on soil nutrients water in the dry season improves black pepper growth, therefore, it could be evaluated on a larger field scale.Keywords: Irrigation, nutrient uptake, pepper, vegetative growth. AbstrakPengaturan tata air dan hara berperan penting pada budi daya lada. Fertigasi sebagai teknik pemberian hara yang disinergikan dengan aplikasi irigasi telah digunakan secara luas pada komoditas komersial seperti hortikultura, namun pemakaiannya belum menjadi perhatian pada budi daya lada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pengaruh aplikasi irigasi dan fertigasi pada periode musim kemarau terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman lada. Tiga perlakuan meliputi (1) aplikasi pemupukan sesuai standar operasional prosedur (SOP), (2) aplikasi pemupukan dilakukan menggungan robot fertigasi yang diprogram dengan takaran sesuai SOP dan pada musim kemarau ditambahkan irigasi, serta (3) aplikasi pemupukan sesuai SOP dan pada musim kemarau ditambahkan fertigasi diuji di lapangan kebun percobaan IPTP Sukamulya, Sukabumi pada periode Oktober 2018-Desember 2019, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 9 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi irigasi dan fertigasi pada musim kemarau meningkatkan semua nilai parameter vegetatif dibandingkan tanaman kontrol. One way to control is to use an attractant with the active ingredient methyl eugenol. The objective of the research was to identify the catching ability and the durability of the formula on trapping fruit flies. It was conducted from October 2020 to March 2021 in orchards in the Bogor area, designed in a randomized block with 8 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of oils: (1) nutmeg, (2) cloves, (3) citronella, (4) palm, (5) melaleuca + nutmeg, (6) melaleuca + cloves, (7) melaleuca + citronella, (8 ) melaleuca + palm (1:1 ratio). As much as 1 ml of oil is dropped on a cotton swab in a trap bottle and hung on a fruit tree. Observations were made every 5 days by counting the number, type of flies, and sex of the flies trapped. It showed that nutmeg and clove oil were able to trap 5 and 7 fruit flies in the first 5 days, but subsequently no flies were trapped, while citronella and palm oil were unable to trap fruit flies. A mixture of melaleuca oil containing 84.86% methyl eugenol with nutmeg, citronella, and palm oil was able to trap fruit flies for about 3 months with a total catch of 2.479; 2.434; and 2.487, respectively, while the mixture of melaleuca+cloves was able to trap fruit flies for 4 months and was able to trap 2 female flies.Keywords:   Attractant, Bactrocera spp., Melaleuca bracteata, methyl eugenol AbstrakEfektivitas Formula Minyak Melaleuca bracteata Terhadap Daya Tangkap Hama Lalat Buah (Bactrocera spp.)Lalat buah (Bactrocera spp) dapat menimbulkan kehilangan hasil sebesar 30–40% pada produk hortikultura, bahkan gagal panen. Salah satu cara pengendaliannya adalah dengan menggunakan atraktan (pemikat) berbahan aktif metil eugenol (C11H14O2). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tangkap dan daya tahan formula dalam memerangkap hama lalat buah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2020 sampai Maret 2021 di kebun buah-buahan (rambutan, jambu biji, dan jambu air) di Bogor, dengan rancangan acak kelompok 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan.  Perlakuan terdiri dari minyak : (1) pala, (2) cengkeh, (3) serai wangi, (4) sawit, (5) melaleuca + pala, (6) melaleuca + cengkeh, (7) melaleuca + serai wangi, (8) melaleuca + sawit (dengan perbandingan 1 :1).  Sebanyak 1 ml minyak diteteskan pada kapas di dalam botol perangkap dan digantungkan pada pohon. Pengamatan dilakukan setiap 5 hari terhadap jumlah, jenis dan jenis kelamin lalat yang terperangkap. However, only 8 nodes at the middle part of the sugarcane stem are taken for cuttings/bud setts. The objective of the research was to investigate the possibility used of apical and basal stems as planting materials and to investigate dormancy breaking and stimulating bud growth methods of apical and basal stems. The research was arranged in a completely randomized design with two factors. The first factor was the position of bud setts in a stem (apical, middle, and basal). The second factor was dormancy breaking and growth-promoting solutions (IAA 100 ppm, IAA 200 ppm, GA 3 50 ppm, GA 3 100 ppm, KNO 3 3%, ZA 0.36% for 30 min. and hot water treatment (HWT) 50 0 C for 1 and 2 hours). All the treatments were replicated three times. The result showed that soaking apical bud setts in IAA 100 ppm or water could increase 3 shooted bud setts, whereas basal bud setts soaked in KNO 3 3% or water could increase 1 shooted bud setts. Soaking bud setts from the middle part of the stem in water, ZA 0.36% or KNO 3 3% resulted in 6 shooted bud setts. Bud setts from apical and basal stems could be used as planting materials, which increase the multiplication index to 1:11, higher than the current procedure (1:6). Soaking into the water for 30 minutes recommended for dormancy breaking and stimulating apical and basal bud setts. High genetic diversity in generative propagated germplasm collection is a basic foundation to develop new high-yielding varieties. The research aimed to detect the genetic diversity of kemiri sunan population in NTT based on RAPD markers. The study was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory, Balittri, Sukabumi from May to July 2019. A total of 32 kemiri sunan accessions were obtained from a private plantation owned by PT BHLI in Bajawa, Flores, NTT analyzed its genetic diversity using 40 RAPD markers. Markers that produced polymorphic bands were scored in binary data format and were then used for genetic diversity analysis using the NTSYS program. Results showed that 11 RAPD markers were polymorphic and generated a total of 41 bands consisting of 32 polymorphic bands (78.05%) and 9 monomorphic bands (21.95%). The genetic diversity analysis with a genetic similarity value of 0.737 showed that the 32 kemiri sunan accessions were divided into 2 clusters. Among those, two accessions (T2 and T4) can be selected as candidates for new high-yielding varieties, because they are located in different groups and showed high per plant fruit number. The result of the study also obtained the genetic distance value between kemiri sunan accessions varies from 0.00 to 0.46. The combination of two kemiri sunan accessions with a high genetic distance value should be useful as parents to obtain F1 progeny with a high heterosis effect. Keragaman genetik yang tinggi pada koleksi plasma nutfah yang diperbanyak secara generatif merupakan modal dasar dalam upaya untuk merakit varietas unggul baru. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeteksi keragaman genetik populasi kemiri sunan ( Reutealis trisperma (Blanco) Airy Shaw) di Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) berdasarkan marka RAPD. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Terpadu, Balittri, Sukabumi mulai bulan Mei sampai Juli 2019.
