As an emerging field, pervasive grid has not had the opportunity to develop a architecture model similar to the OSI Reference Model used to describe computer networks. Such a model would be useful in properly classifying design issues and providing needed context. Inspired by the layers of abstraction provided by the OSI Reference Model, we present our Layered Pervasive Grid model to facilitate discussion and analysis of pervasive grid applications. To make NETCONF interoperable and capable of manipulating data in a standardized fashion, an extensible data modeling language, YANG, was proposed to model data including configuration and state data manipulated by NETCONF protocol, remote procedure calls and notifications. To make YANG understood better, we have done some comparison between YANG and others like XSD and RelaxNG both from theory and practice. The investigation is performed by modeling four models respectively using YANG,XSD and Relax NG, including NETCONF Monitoring, Accessing Control List, VLAN and TCP/IP Monitoring. The experimental data is compared and explained detailedly in the paper combining theoretical analysis. This paper proposes a fast face detection algorithm based on facial features and linear Support Vector Machines (LSVM). First, using of skin color information, the algorithm quickly excludes most background regions from the images primarily leaving the skin color regions. Then we use LSVM to separate more non-face regions from the remaining regions, for exiting big differences between the face regions and non-face regions. Finally, we identify the face candidates by detecting eyes and mouth. However, the corresponding MAP decoding algorithm still makes hardware unbearable and later its simplified versions, Max-Log-MAP and Log-MAP algorithms, appeared. In this paper, we propose a multiary SOVA decoding algorithm for UST symbol-based turbo code. Using our UST symbol-based SOVA, soft output information from the prior iteration can be accepted as the a priori information for current iteration. Notably, the experimental results show that our algorithm can achieve close performance to Max-Log-MAP and Log-MAP algorithms with lower complexity. In a complex WSN, malicious nodes are well disguised so that they can purposely attack the whole network using the natural co-operations of sensors. To overcome this, we study trust mechanism in the human society and introduce it into a WSN. We also construct a cross-layer trust model based on cloud theory in accordance with the characteristics of a WSN. Based on trust model, we propose a node selection algorithm for wireless sensor networks. In this paper, a kind of SIP accelerator named SIP offload engine (SOE) is presented to improve server performance through offloading SIP message parsing, SIP transaction processing, security and transport layer connections management. The SIP application can be deployed on SOE enabled SIP application server without any modification. The benchmarking results on typical SIP application scenario indicate that the throughput of SIP application server can be improved significantly. On this basis, dynamic adjust the QoS level of is very necessary,therefore,the adjustment mechanism of selective QoS is proposed. In this paper, we propose a novel cross-layer scheduling scheme for MPEG traffic in high speed WPANs. The scheme aims at introducing robust improvements to MPEG traffic scheduling by taking most advantages of traffic characteristic and wireless channel effect. It benefits from the ideas of a well-defined channel parameter and a flow eligibility filter. The PIN diode which is employed in the feedback loop of the VGA play as a variable resistor to realize the gain control function. By adjusting the bias of the diode, the gain of the VGA can be changed. An inductor is utilized in the feedback loop to reduce the noise figure of the circuit. After matching the circuit, we get a variable gain amplifier with 21dB dynamic range, about 19dB maximum gain, and 2.6dB minimum noise figure. The network topology discovery issue is changed into the minimum spanning tree of map by optimization strategy which based on ants’ election roads. Moreover, the idea of depth-first search is combined with to ensure the connectivity of tree. Power line attenuation and link pheromone concentration are considered when the state transition probability is calculated in ant algorithm. That is to ensure the best link can be chosen when network topology changes.
