This is an important feature for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to provide the nodes with the capability of communicating with one or several sinks.To operate successfully a sensor network must also provide satisfactory connectivity so that nodes can communicate for data fusion and reporting to base stations. Connectivity affects the robustness and achievable throughput of communication in a sensor network. We provide an experimental analysis of the fundamental relationship between network connectivity and the density of nodes, as well as the relationship between network connectivity and the nodes’ transmitting ranges. Extensive experimental results prove that our method is feasible and leads to a more accurate thresholds.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128087949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But it is always difficult to make good and accurate safety analyze. We proposed a formalism, TCSP for hybrid embedded systems, by introducing a new operator (emitting signal operator) into TCSP and giving details of its structural operational semantics to analyze formally safe specification of hybrid embedded systems. Not only has safety for actions of hybrid embedded systems been analyzed, but also safety for predicates.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128627927","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The SRT has a restriction that there must be more than four line-of-sight (LOS) signals in all received.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"52 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114975612","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the limitation in low bandwidth utilization makes the PPM modulation de-efficiency for a large amount of data transmission, e.g. multimedia information. In this paper, we proposed and demonstrated a modified PPM transceiver scheme to improve the transmission performance. The modified PPM transceiver system may be used for image transmission for designing underwater optical communication system. The simulation results of bandwidth, transmission power and anti-noise performance at the same signal to noise ratio conditions is presented and compared. It is shown that the modified PPM modulation scheme has the similar performance of the PPM in error controlling with improved bandwidth utilization. Furthermore, it can be more convenient to combine the error control coding to improve the reliability of signal transmission and lower the complexity of the transceiver.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114656235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system consists of multi-queues (terminals) whose service rates are one of the fast speed and lower speed. The fast speed mode moves cyclically from queue to queue with N-policy. Using the decomposition approach, each queue is analyzed as a single server queue with N-policy working vacation, which works at a different rate, rather than completely stops during the vacation polling period. Using quasi birth and death chain and matrix geometric solution method, we give some performance parameters, such as the mean number and mean waiting time of packet in the queue, the mean throughput. Finally, we analyze the effect of the parameters on the mean waiting time and mean throughput through numerical examples.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126117596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the scenario of P2PSIP, there needs some nodes acting as all kinds of proxies of SIP; and as to intercommunication of heterogeneous DHT, there need some nodes to be the gateway roles to complete the intercommunication function, here these nodes were called Supernode (SN). The problem of which nodes could be the SNs was answered by SN election. In a overlay that had n nodes, the message complexity of traditional election algorithm is , it’s the horrible overhead in a huge overlay. In this paper, a new SN election based upon district partition which divided the whole overlay into k small districts and using distributed and parallel computing among these small units was brought forward. This algorithm would decrease the message complexity to and raise the electing speed. At the same time, the new algorithm would uniformly distribute the SNs among the overlay.","PeriodicalId":177679,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Communication Software and Networks","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-02-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122481439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
