Thus, this paper aims to present a conceptual framework that represents the main flows of waste and resources between eco-industrial parks and urban areas, focusing on the capture of carbon dioxide and its transformation into fuel. There are numerous studies on applications of DES that can be found in the literature. The applications can be designs of production processes, optimization of facility layouts and process parameters, and improvement of performance by relieving bottlenecks. However, there are barely applications of DES as a tool for manufacturing performance management in the literature. In addition, the topic of utilization and management of data generated by DES has not been comprehensively discussed. In response to these research gaps, this paper presents of a case study of using DES for the production process of the Model Factory at the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), Singapore. In this use case, the DES model of a manufacturing process with the industrial gearbox as the product is created. Simulated data from this model is subsequently stored in a production database which an IoT platform can access and use to calculate production Key Performance Indicators (KPI). These simulated KPIs can be used as the baseline for the purpose of manufacturing performance management. At present, the way of railway undertakes the enormous transport tasks. In order to complete these tasks, the influence of foremen's competency of railway stations is very important. This article firstly gains the foremen's competency by applying the following methods: literature analysis and interview. Then a leadership competency model is built by using exploratory factor analysis method, according to the data collected from questionnaires. This leadership competency model is consisted of basic competencies, the two dimensions of competency development and the seventeen competence factors. Based on the theory of structural equation model, the validity of this competency model is proved by examining the first-order multi-factor oblique and the second-order confirmatory factor. There are three results demonstrated as follows: Firstly, there are three main factors impacting on foreman's competency of railway transportation stations in turn including the team building ability, mentality, accomplishment, professional quality. Secondly, except the necessary knowledge, the management capacity is more important for foremen working in railway transportation enterprises. Thirdly, there is one critical ability for an outstanding foreman which is the team building ability, which is subordinates care and has the good professional spirit. The result of this article could provide a set of scientific and objective theoretical support for leadership competency of railway transport enterprises. Innovative methods are required to employ a cloud storage model securely while being efficient. Therefore, Anbuchelian et al. proposed a modified RSA cryptosystem algorithm in their paper of “Ef?cient and secure auditing scheme for privacy-preserving data storage in cloud” in 2019 to meet this goal. In their scheme, a multilevel hash tree algorithm combined with RSA cryptosystem algorithm (MRSAC) is combined to ensure both security and efficiency can be met in cloud storage. The authors offer comments on the MRSAC scheme through examining its validity based on the review of MRSAC algorithm and examples of experimental tests. Consequently, drawbacks and theoretical defects of this scheme are identified, and this scheme is proven to be invalidated. The service-oriented architecture is an approach in the context of I4.0, which can be used to implement the decentralized task distribution. The high agility and changing customer requirements associated with I4.0 pose a major challenge to the previous phase-oriented development process of industry plants. Furthermore, the existing development process can only deal with static industry architecture, in the form of implemented functionality. In this paper, we propose a model driven development process of a service-oriented I4.0 system, which helps to deal with the above mentioned challenges. We extended and implemented a detailed I4.0 service metamodel based on the reference model of service architecture (RM-SA) for I4.0 to model the service-oriented architecture. The resulted model can be connected with the system model and later used for code generation. The proposed approach helps to increase the reusability of service and system design and accelerates the reconfiguration process in case of changing customer requirement. This hinders SMEs operating within the furniture industry from attracting new customers, lowering their sales to minimum levels. Therefore, our study aims to solve the problem through a business architecture model that allows for the use of digital tools and predictive analyses, which will define a new sales channel that allows for the identification of customer tastes and the creation of new marketing and sales strategies. For this purpose, we conducted a study that allowed us to validate the proposal made to SMEs operating in this sector. A robust control scheme for frequency regulation based on combined action of STATCOM, energy storage system (ESS) and pitch angle control for wind powered microgrid (MG) is proposed. Suggested STATCOM controller comprises a 3-phase voltage source converter (VSC) that contains insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs) based pulse width modulation (PWM) inverters along with a capacitor bank. Energy storage system control consists of current controlled voltage source converter and battery bank. The proposed model performs robust action upon detection of islanding to compensate reactive and supply active power demand thus regulating frequency at point of common coupling (PCC) with improved load stability. Obtained results reveal that proposed method control not only stabilizes frequency during transition duration but also minimizes sudden frequency imbalance caused by load variation or wind intermittencies in islanded operation.
