Many developed nations have already begun the study on E-MTM ???Electronic Made to Measure???system currently. The base and key of the MTM is the 3D body measurement system (BMS). In this paper, we choose the figure model of VRML format to extract sets of the intersection points of the figure model and given plains with the height defined as the characteristic sections height from the output of [TC]2 in ORD format, calculate the areas of figure characteristic sections. Testing by 100 case, it has been showed the size precision meet the requirement of garment manufacturing. The area index obtained by statistical analysis provides an analytical basis of body form for apparel production.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122371761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Literatures detailing the experimental effects of LPB are comprehensive, however, there is still a special need for a reliable Finite Element (FE) calculation to provide a fundamental understanding of LPB mechanism. The paper establishes a three-dimensional non-linear FE model, where the flow stress is taken as a function of strain, strain rate and temperature, and the Zienkiewics-Zhu adaptive plastic strain remeshing method is used. Calculated results show that LPB can produce the maximum compressive residual stress about 1000 MPa to a depth more than 1.6 mm, but the cold-work hardening can be controlled to less than 2.5%, the predicted results is validated by the experimental data obtained by X-ray diffraction measurements.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131077488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, based on the WRF model and it’s 3D-Var system, an algorithm using orthogonal wavelet to model B-matrix is developed. Because each wavelet function contains both information on position and scale, using a diagonal correlation matrix in wavelet space can represent the anisotropic and inhomogeneous characteristics of B. The experiments show that local correlation functions are better modeled than spectral method, and the forecasts of track and intensity for typhoon Kaemi are significantly improved by the new method.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126948712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The observation error is assumed Gaussian in traditional variational assimilation method. While the gross error is inevitable in the actual observation data, which is not strictly agreed the hypothesis of Gaussian observation error. The observational term of cost function need to be modified by the variational quality control to deal with the non-Gaussian observation error, and the variational quality control is incorporated within the variational analysis itself. The variational quality control technique was implemented in the pre-operational global four dimension data assimilation system in this paper. Assimilation and forecast experiments were carried out with the conventional observation data. It was demonstrated that the variational quality control guaranteed the fully consistence of background and model dynamic to ameliorate the analysis results and improve the forecasting skill.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132437704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Driven by high frequency sinusoidal currents and armed with six pairs of conductive poles of stainless steel array, the system only samples and converts the differences of the voltage’s peak and trough, weakens the pole’s polarization efficiently. Meanwhile, the filtration latency caused by the traditional analog demodulation is avoided. Such a system can be widely applied in detecting the parameters of the electro-conductivity multiphase because of its rapid signal gathering speed, stability and less complexity.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132485832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The distributions of pressure and velocity in impeller were gained, which provide basis for the performance prediction, the hydraulic design and optimal design of super-low specific speed multistage flameproof submerge pump. The results show that pressure and efficiency change a lot as the impeller geometric parameters changes, and using CFD software can help us to improve and optimize the impeller design.","PeriodicalId":176212,"journal":{"name":"2010 Third International Conference on Information and Computing","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-06-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126611060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
