The performance of the pump was predicted by the commercial software FLUENT. Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations was discretized, solved with κ-ε turbulence model and the SIMPLEC algorithm in double coordinate system. The distributions of pressure and velocity in impeller were gained, which provide basis for the performance prediction, the hydraulic design and optimal design of super-low specific speed multistage flameproof submerge pump.
