In the scheme, the redundant states which stay in the queue for a long time will affect the usage rate of the queue when cryptographic Hash functions are used for state transition. Focusing on this problem, a universal state transformation scheme of the key sequence is proposed. After analyzing the transformation mechanism of the queue in the process of watermark detection, the new transformation mechanism is inducted with which the extra redundant states can be deleted and usage rate of the queue is increased. At the same time the continuity of the queue is maintained, which enhances the robustness against temporal synchronization attacks. Experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme has a better performance against frame-transposition attacks than that of original key sequence-based scheme.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121205301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, speaker dependent cepstrum mean normalization (Speaker CMN) is adopted to alleviate the distortion of channel, with which the average human-machine scoring correlation coefficient (ACC) is improved from 78.00% to 84.14%. Heteroscedastic linear discriminate analysis (HLDA) is then applied to enhance the discrimination ability of AM, which successfully increases ACC from 84.14% to 84.62%. Additionally, HLDA can lessen the great human-machine scoring difference of those speeches that have very good or too bad pronunciation quality, and so lead to an increase of the correctly-rank rate (CRR) from 85.59% to 90.99%. Finally, we use maximum a posteriori (MAP) to tune AM to match the strong accented test speech. As the result, ACC is improved from 84.62% to 86.57%.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"35 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114013008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the transformation, the color space of ordinary vision is mapped to the color plane of dichromats to avoid the main color confusion for dichromats. Experiments are conducted on both 15 color test images and 5 natural images. The results show that the invisible information for dichromats in original images stands out in re-colored ones so that the color information readability for dichromats is enhanced. The performance of the improved method is much better than that of the original one.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131939605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our formulation includes an internal energy term that penalizes the deviation of the level set function from a signed distance function and stopping term related to a particular segmentation of the image instead of gradient. They force the level set function to be close to a signed distance function, therefore completely eliminate the need of the costly re-initialization procedure. Significantly larger time step can be used for solving the evolution equation to speed up the evolution. The level set formulation is easily implemented by simple finite difference scheme that is computationally more efficient. Meanwhile not only the initial curve can be anywhere in the image, but also interior contours can be automatically detected. Experiment results on image segmentation show that our algorithm has very good performance.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130084024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a novel method based on chaotic mutation particle swarm optimization (CPSO) was proposed to design FIR digital filters. First, chaotic mutation, which behaves excellent in local searching, was introduced to improve the performance of the standard PSO. Then, the new algorithm was employed to find the optimal solution of FIR coefficients. Simulation results show that CPSO has the advantages of more stability, higher optimizing precision and strong global searching capability which makes it an efficient and alternative approach for FIR filters design.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"90 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134439507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are developing an unsupervised LM adaptation method using data in the Web. The one key point of unsupervised Web-based LM adaptation is how to select keywords to compose the search query. In this paper, we propose a new method of selecting keywords from keyword candidates, which uses a keyword clustering technique based on word similarities. The other key point is how to determine the number of downloaded pages for each query. In this paper we propose a method to estimate \"a query availability,\" which is based on a small number of downloaded Web pages. The experimental result showed that the determination of downloaded pages using the query availability was effective than the conventional methods that determined the number of pages empirically.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132811188","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, a combined stop criterion integrating adaptive threshold and usan area is proposed to keep the homogeneity of the region and prevent over-segmentation.
