This method is not only applicable to the signal detection that the signal sampling rate is twice higher than the frequency of signal detection, but also to the signal detection that the signal sampling rate is twice lower than the frequency of signal detection. Itpsilas a better solution when that the high symbol rate using low sampling rate and adopting aliased signal for detecting frequency shift keying signal, and it also solves the multi-signals collision detection problem.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115473175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the algorithm, a center-first-theorem is applied to find out several short roads in maze, then the shortest road can be find out among those roads by comparing with each other. Two hardware oriented algorithms are proposed to increase the coding speed and reduce the computation complexity of the fast motion estimation (FME) algorithm. The results show that the proposed FME algorithm can speed up 71% coding time of the original standard with slightly PSNR loss and bit rate increase. Therefore, the hardware architecture designs for the proposed algorithms with considerations of both motion vector cost and the sum of absolute difference (SAD) distortion are implemented. This has made the retrieval for specific 3D models become a vital issue. Unfortunately, traditional keyword searching techniques are not always effective for 3D object retrieval. In this paper, an enhanced feature, called silhouette descriptor, is proposed for 3D models retrieval. The propose retrieval method is based on a multi-view approach, which keeps 3D models coherence by considering a set of images in specific view direction simultaneously. Experimental results show that the proposed method is faster, simpler and most efficient than other method.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124745008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we study the simulation of clouds from the modeling method, lighting model and the rendering efficiency. As far as the modeling method, we model cloud based on the particle system and fractal method. This reduces the complexity of the simulation. And then the exiting multiple forward scattering illumination models were used. At last, the Billboard and Impostor techniques are used to enhance the operation speed. In this task, note-based and frame-based similarity measures are two commonly used methods. However, in previous works, researchers always focus on one of the two methods alone. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme taking advantage of two different similarity measurements to improve not only the retrieval accuracy but also the retrieving speed. First, Earth Moverpsilas Distance (EMD), which is note-based and much faster, is adopted to eliminate most unlikely candidate. Then, Dynamic Time Warping (DTW), which is frame-based and more accurate, is executed on these surviving candidates. Finally, fusion strategies of these two similarity measurements are employed to improve the performance of whole system. Experiments show our approach can achieve 92.9% accuracy on the database used in MIREX 2006 QBH contest, which is better than those systems participated in that task.","PeriodicalId":175885,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Audio, Language and Image Processing","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129660860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
