In this paper, we study the simulation of clouds from the modeling method, lighting model and the rendering efficiency. As far as the modeling method, we model cloud based on the particle system and fractal method. This reduces the complexity of the simulation. And then the exiting multiple forward scattering illumination models were used. At last, the Billboard and Impostor techniques are used to enhance the operation speed.
