Penambahan ekstrak ke dalam sabun padat dapat meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi ekstrak terhadap sifat sabun padat (pH dan aktivitas antioksidan). Komposisi ekstrak dan waktu reaksi bervariasi pada 1 sampai 1,5% berat dan 20 hingga 40 menit, masing-masing. Ekstrak diperoleh dengan metode maserasi diikuti dengan proses penguapan, untuk menghilangkan etanol (EtOH) yang tersisa. Sabun padat dibuat dengan mereaksikan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) dengan natrium hidroksida (NaOH) dan beberapa aditif. Sabun padat diproses dengan metode saponifikasi proses panas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sabun padat mengandung pH 8,29 – 10 dan aktivitas antioksidan dalam konsentrasi penghambatan (IC50) dengan nilai 215,27 - 1671,33 ppm. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil uji organoleptis dan sediaan fisik footspray antibakteri dan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri pada sediaan footspray dengan variasi ekstrak 0,05; 0,1; dan 0,15. Penelitian ini diawali dengan ekstraksi kulit jeruk nipis dan ampas kopi menggunakan metode maserasi sehingga didapatkan ekstrak kental dilanjut dengan melakukan formulasi sediaan spray. Sediaan yang dihasilkan selanjutnya diuji organoleptis dan sediaan fisik meliputi warna, aroma, pH, viskositas, dan waktu kering, serta aktivitas antibakterinya menggunakan biakan bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seiring dengan penambahan ekstrak, warna yang dihasilkan semakin pekat, aroma yang semakin memudar, serta waktu kering yang semakin cepat, serta kekentalan yang semakin besar. Pada masing – masing formula memiliki pH yang sama, yaitu 5. Aktivitas antibakteri pada sediaan spray telah diuji dengan metode difusi cakram dengan pengamatan zona bening. Uji aktivitas antibakteri pada sediaan ini menghasilkan diameter zona hambat bakteri pada F1 sebesar 4 mm, F2 sebesar 5 mm, dan F3 sebesar 6 mm. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis senyawa fitokimia dari tanaman suku Lamiaceae yaitu daun kemangi (Ocimum sanctum) dan kumis kucing (Orthosiphon stamineus). Metode penelitian ini terdiri dari ekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol selama 3 hari (dan diulang dua kali), lalu dilakukan uji fitokimia menggunakan reagen kimia untuk mengetahui adanya senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, steroid, terpenoid dan minyak atisiri yang terkandung pada kedua ekstrak tanaman uji tersebut. Hasil uji fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak metanol daun kemangi mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, saponin, terpenoid, steroid dan minyak atsiri; sedangkan ekstrak metanol daun kumis mengandung flavonoid, saponin, tannin dan minyak atsiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri  gel hand sanitizer ekstrak etil asetat biji teratai. Penelitian  diawali dengan ekstraksi biji teratai kering dengan cara maserasi selama 3 hari  menggunakan etil asetat.  Maserat yang dihasilkan selanjutnya dievaporasi menggunakan rotatory evaporator dan kandungan pelarut etil asetat dihilangkan dengan menggunakan waterbath dengan menjaga suhunya <60oC. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses pembuatan sediaan gel. Sediaan gel yang dihasilkan kemudian dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri sediaan pada Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus uji stabilitas sediaan gel hand sanitizer yang terdiri dari uji pH, uji daya sebar,  uji sineresis, serta uji organoleptis meliputi warna, bau, dan bentuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin banyak ekstrak biji teratai yang ditambahkan, warna yang dihasilkan semakin gelap, aroma yang semakin kuat,  bentuk yang tidak kental, serta daya sebar yang semakin lebar. pH formula dari F1, F2,  F3 berturut-turut yaitu 6,4 ; 5,9 ; 5,1. Sediaan gel hand sanitizer tidak sineresis. Silver metal pollution sources, one of which comes from waste fixer which is a waste from the photorontgen process. However, silver in its metal form has a high economic value. Therefore, the development of techniques or methods of recovering silver from the waste solution and turning it into a metal form is important to do so that the metal does not pollute the environment and can be reused economically. One method that can be done is by electrolytic deposition or electrodeposition in which silver in the form of a silver thiosulfate complex compound in the photorontgen waste is converted to Ag metal through a redox reaction. To obtain good quality and quantity of silver deposits in the electrodeposition process, it is necessary to optimize several factors that influence, among others, optimization of potential difference, time and pH of the solution. This study aims to determine the effect of potential difference, time and pH of the solution on the efficiency of the electrodeposition process. Electrodeposition efficiency was determined based on the percentage of reduced silver mass calculated from the decrease in Ag concentration in photorontgen waste solution before and after the electrodeposition process. Beluntas (Pluchea indica L.) is one of plant which potentially as antioxidant. The aim of this research is to determine the antioxidant activity of etanol extract of beluntas leaves.  Antioxidant activity test was done by using DPPH (2, 2-diphenyl-1- picrylhydrazil) method. The dry powder of beluntas’s leaves was macerated by using ethanol. Ethanol extract obtained was tested antioxidant activity to get IC-50 value by using UV-Vis spectrophotometry at 517 nm. Antioxidant activity test results showed that ethanol extract of beluntas’s leaves had IC50 value of 37,25 ppm. However, because human needs for fluids are far more than food, it is very important to pay attention to every food and beverage product consumed. Based on data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, more than 5% of Indonesia's population consumes various types of ready-to-drink drinks (instant). The still high debate about the negative impact of instant drinks, it is very important to standardize the quality of instant drinks on the market today. Related to this, the process of making tomato instant powder drinks has been optimized using the vacuum evaporator method with variations in temperature, time and filler in the evaporation process. Each product produced is analyzed for the content of vitamins C and antioxidants. The vacuum evaporator is used to maintain the quality of the vitamins and antioxidants in powder drinks. The quality of instant powder drinks is improved by varying the drying temperature (50 - 70 °C), and variations in the drying time of products (3 - 7 hours). To obtain a granule formation, a mixture of sucrose, dextrin and tween 80 with a specific composition was used as a filler. The results showed that the vitamin C content can be maintained high on drying for 7 hours with a low temperature, which is 50 °C, with a value of 65,17 mg/100 g. In contrast, the highest total IC50 antioxidant activity (24.10 mg/ml) was obtained in the drying process for 3 hours using a temperature of 700C. Utilization of Titanium Oxide in cosmetic formulation have been done. In this research Titanium Oxide was develop to form Nano-Titanium Oxide. It was important to get data that Nano-Titanium Oxide still have sunscreen activity. Spot, wrinkle and decrease of skin moisture were fast condition of aging if face skin get so many sun light especially UV-light with strong energy. In this research used nanomaterial of Titanium Oxide because nanomaterial give so many advantages. The method that used was measure UV absorption this material with UV-visible spectrophotometer instrument. The result of nanomaterial Titanium Oxide that still had sunscreen activity than support anti-aging in cosmetics formulation especially inhibit photo-aging. The material that use in formulation of detergen is an active material, support materials, additives, fragrance material that and antifoam. The active material of detergent likeLinear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) used to increase cleaner power. Waru leave contain of metabolites namely alkaloid, triterpenoid, tanin, flavonoid, and saponin. Saponin has important role as foam producer in detergent industry, soap, and shampoo. The purpose of experiment is to know about effectivenessof waru leave exstract as an aditif in the production of detergent. This experiment include analysis phytochemicals characteristic because it need : pH level, viscosity and foam stability. The data analysed theoreticallybased on observation result.
