This work discusses user profiles designed for providing personalized information access. We first present a general classification of research directions on adaptive systems, followed by a state-of-the-art study about user profiling. We propose then a new classification approach of user profile model. This classification is based on the user dimensions considered to build the user profile.","PeriodicalId":174405,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems: Theories and Applications (SITA)","volume":"557 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117063865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is done without any domain specific guidance such as special training data or extraction rules. Because OEE is domain-independent, it helps the final users managing the unstructured data in an easy way. OEE help users creating complex queries or finding a new domain when they have an unknown structure of the explored events. We can help the user by generating a simplified relational schema that describes the extracted events in any given domain. For systems that extract events within a narrow domain, the schema is easily specified in advance. While, the events and types extracted with OEE do not fit with full schema information: we can't know in advance what schema is appropriate for each discovered type. In this paper, we introduce a novel approach of schema discovery based on probabilistic generative models especially LinkLDA for open-domain event extraction. This approach aims to develop an algorithm to automatically derive high quality smart schemas from the extracted events. To evaluate the quality of our results, we will carry out our experiments on a set of events extracted from twitter, the most up-to-date stream of current events.","PeriodicalId":174405,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems: Theories and Applications (SITA)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121953276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are interested in the issue of shipping large quantities of bulk gas (butane and propane) from storage terminals to filling stations storage capacities using a fleet of tankers. The procurement goal is the assignment of quantities of gas to be transferred for each filling station; then, the shipping of these quantities with a heterogeneous fleet of tankers which respects the time schedule of those stations. After a review of literature for the classes of vehicle routing problem with backhauls in oil and gas procurement problems, we will present an integer linear programming formulation (ILP), then, we attempt to solve the problem using a solver, following this by testing and discussing results.","PeriodicalId":174405,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems: Theories and Applications (SITA)","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125889012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Students' interaction is viewed as a process through which learners demonstrate their expertise and a transfer of assistance to their peers. Within this context, students may ask for peers' feedback when they encounter problems that they cannot solve themselves. In response to his request, a learner may receive a huge volume of peers' feedback which is not usually all positive, relevant and favourable to his learning. Discarding negative feedback (bullying, demeaning and those making an individual vulnerable by self-disclosing personal data) aligns to the first principle of e-learning environment which is to ensure for the learners to interact and collaborate free from fear in a safe e-learning environment. Scrutinizing the learners' natural language interactions requires the use of artificial intelligence techniques, namely Latent semantic Analysis (LSA). In this work, we analyse LSA's sensibility to the quality of peers' text-based interactions and its ability to discard negative and self-disclosing feedback. To do that, we built different LSA models by varying the approach parameters. We theorize that there would be positive correlations between LSA measures derived from the latent semantic space and human judges' rating. Regression analysis shows that once the LSA parameters that better represent the human judgments of feedback relevance and disclosure have been considered, LSA reliably predicts the human scores (r=.64, p<;.001).","PeriodicalId":174405,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems: Theories and Applications (SITA)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123872628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
