However, due to the complexity of the integral equation resulting from this model, exact solutions have been found for a reduced number of distribution functions. This paper deals with the special case of Weibull distribution that adequately models the lifetime of power equipment. Finding a solution for short times complementing the asymptotic solutions found in recent works. Based on this solution, certain outage indexes oriented to a simple distribution system are calculated.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122607009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The nonlinear mathematical model of the farm tractor and its implement is considered. The control aim is designed to generate an error feedback control, such that the lateral velocity and the yaw rate of the farm tractor and its implement are tracked at all times, reading and analyzing lateral velocity reference and yaw rate tendencies. The reference system will be considered as the behavior of an “ideal” or “reference” farm tractor, without implements. To check the performance of the controller proposed here, as well as its robustness with respect to parameter variations, the Matlab-Simulink program is used to develop the simulations.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114123163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The authors analyzed this BET employing three-dimensional (3-D) finite element (FE) simulations. The magnetic anisotropy and the magnetic nonlinear properties of the grain-oriented electrical steel are considered in the FE simulations. The authors validated their FE simulations by computing the core losses in a real 5 MVAr three-phase shunt reactor without BET and comparing them with the core losses measured in the laboratory. Once validating the FE simulations of the HV shunt reactor without BET, the authors analyzed the core losses in the same HV shunt reactor with BET. In addition, the authors analyzed the core loss effect produced by the bevel edge length in two real HV shunt reactors: a 25 MVAr single-phase shunt reactor and in the original 5 MVAr three-phase shunt reactor. Finally, the authors analyzed the bevel edge angle effect on the core losses of the 5 MVAr three-phase shunt reactor. Authors demonstrated and confirmed that the BET helps to reduce the core losses in HV shunt reactors. Finally, the authors concluded that the bevel edge length and the bevel edge angle have a slight impact on the core losses of the HV shunt reactors.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114722459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The innovative part of the proposed approach is the combination of factors such as a voltage regulating transformer model, freely available weather data to feed the weather-dependent power flow algorithm, and a geographic visualization tool to display the results. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, the IEEE 118-bus system is used to analyze and compare the results of the weather-dependent power flow model versus a conventional power flow. In this case, it is used in the stationary analysis, the power flow temperature algorithms are performed in spatial visualization schemes. The results show that weather conditions directly affect the power system performance","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121259713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposal is to characterize known cemeteries from satellite images information and building the training data. The learning methods are the Google Earth Engine's implementation of Random Forests, Support Vector Machines and Gradient Tree Boost Classifier. Results show that using an ensemble of these learning algorithms can decrease the number of false positives in the classification. Furthermore, little or no tuning of the classifiers is required for the ensemble to achieve good accuracy.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129642708","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, multilevel inverters allows to improve the performance of those power systems regarding power quality and blocking voltage. Classical multilevel topologies which have been well studied and are commercially available can be classified as: neutral point clamped, flying capacitor and cascaded multilevel inverters. Among these, cascade multilevel inverters provide some advantages like modularity and power distribution losses. In this paper, the Single-Phase T-type cascade multilevel inverter is studied. The operating states are derive and different pulse width modulation strategies are proposed in order to evaluate the performance of the inverter. The proposed strategies are evaluated by means of numerical simulations. A comparative evaluation considering harmonic distortion and efficiency is performed.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131459982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These subsystems dynamics are included in a single optimization structure with non-linear constraints and solved by iterative algorithms. However, due to the number of variables involved and the physical characteristics, it presents a non-linear behavior, making it difficult to apply conventional control methods through the development of a mathematical model. In this sense, fuzzy logic with the Mamdani method is adopted as an alternative to solve the nonlinearity through the assessment of the current slope error and the electrode exposure area through linguistic labels, thus delimiting the inter electrode gap and the polarization voltage to ensure the controlled material removal. Finally, by contrasting with a fuzzy technique of one input and one output identified in the literature, a 21% reduction in the average lateral over-cutting effect is obtained, demonstrating the benefits of considering the voltage variable as a relevant factor for the decrease of excess material wear.","PeriodicalId":174166,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE International Autumn Meeting on Power, Electronics and Computing (ROPEC)","volume":"125 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130248758","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
