In nasal breath test, ENT doctors observe the fogging of mirror (the nasal expiration image) caused by the nasal expiration of the patient. Due to an immediate disappearance of the nasal expiration image, it is desirable to record the intensity of the nasal expiration image. The nasal expiration image is recorded by a video camera. The captured video is a mixture of video of the intensity of the nasal expiration image and video of background. The purpose of this paper is to separate video of the intensity of the nasal expiration image from captured video. The intensity of the nasal expiration image is estimated using an alternating optimization of nasal expiration image and background. Experimental results show that the proposed method can record the intensity of the nasal expiration image in a simulation environment.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134123789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The scheme includes two cameras and a steering angle sensor. The front-up camera collects eye position, frequency of blinks, frequency of glancing, staring time, and other indicators; The side camera collects the information of driver's head position; the steering angle sensor collects the steering wheel angle data. The fatigue driving state of the driver is classified and defined by a multi-source information detection method such as pupil characteristics, head tilt angle and steering wheel angle data. Through a comparison of Test Schemes for fatigue driving, it is concluded that the simulation driving experiment scheme has the best comprehensive index in terms of safety, economics, driving state fit and so on. Based on the work above, an experimental platform for fatigue driving recognition was established.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129370280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of them is videoing with a camera. We decided to take a video of a lecture with information about students who is taking part in it. The proposed system takes a video so that student’s face comes to the front. The system extracts a rectangle around each student from each frame in the video. It estimates state of student by using the face detection technique and the flesh color detection one. The system assumes the flesh color of Japanese people. In this paper, we describes a method detecting dozing students. A simple experiment is performed with 90-minute lecture. In the experimental result, state of student is effectively estimated. The system takes a class with a single camera and detects dozing of multiple people taken.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"89 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124743199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to a lot of research, the effectiveness of ABS in reducing crashes is significant. To design the ABS system, establishing an ABS test bench, which is capable for analyzing the ABS braking performance, the individual ABS components performance, and the whole ABS durability is necessary. In this work, we upgraded our original hydraulic control unit performance test bench to satisfy the above mentioned goals by further enhancing the function in this module test bench and further designing and realizing an ABS dynamic braking performance test bench. The module test bench can be used for evaluating the performance of whole ABS product quickly and precisely. In addition, the durability of the hydraulic control units and the control logic of the ABS can be performed and analyzed by the aid of a virtual speed signal circuit built in this test bench. On the other hand, the designed ABS dynamic performance test bench is aimed for testing the braking performance of ABS by using the flywheel design to simulate the field test environment. Finally, These two test benches are eventually integrated to form a versatile test platform. Through the effort, in the future, it is possible to perform effective performance assessment on commercial ABS systems and to develop new control strategies based on this test platform.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130428916","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chiu","doi":"10.12792/ICIAE2019.008","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.12792/ICIAE2019.008","url":null,"abstract":"Selective laser melting (SLM) has been identified as a promising manufacturing technology for modern additive fabrication. However, this process results in powder sintering/melting during fabrication. Due to enormous thermo-mechanical mismatch, consequently, significant structural distortion and thermal stress would be expected. Without carefully analyzing the stress and deformation during SLS, the final product could suffer from excessive distortion or strong residual stress. However, the thermo-mechanical properties of powder and sintered materials has significant difference and the phase transformation depends directly with processing parameters. Current finite element analysis usually needs to pre-assign the material properties and lacks the ability for performing effective material change during simulation. Without this capability, the achieved stress analysis results could be questionable due to incorrect constraints on structural deformation attributed to material Young’s modulus, for example. In this work, a rational flow for solving the above problem is proposed by integrating finite element package ABAQUS, Matlab, FORTRAN, and Python. The entire program is constructed as a Matlab code, where ABAQUS FE analysis is a major subroutine. In together with FORTRAN, it is responsible for obtaining the temperature and stress of each node/element. For each step, the Matlab main program makes judgement to determine if the material of elements should be changed from powder to sintered state based on the temperature distribution and other judgement criteria. These decisions are then used to re-compose the FE input files using Python and the new input files are then served as the FE simulation for the next step. By this approach, it is possible to adequately describe the phase change behavior and leads to a more reliable subsequent stress analysis for solving the residual stress and distortion problems commonly faced in SLS processes. Technically, this approach can also be applied to other ad hoc problems such as wafer polishing or wearing of mechanical probes.","PeriodicalId":173819,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of The 7th IIAE International Conference on Industrial Application Engineering 2019","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127491453","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One way to communicate with others for them is the eye-tracking system. However, some of them cannot keep their line of sight and fail their input operations by eye-tracking. Therefore, we developed an input method by myoelectric potential for eye-tracking users. It works like a mouse click and assists the user’s operation when they choose an option on the display while using eye-tracking. In this paper, we compare with three input methods: eye-tracking with time, eye-tracking with a mouse click, and eye-tracking with a myoelectric potential.
